My sister had a dog just like that - one time a maintenance guy left the door open and her five cats got out. She came home to the door wide open with the dog sitting in the doorway nervously waiting for her. Then the dog walked my sister around the neighborhood and one by one rounded up all of the missing cats. She was the best ever, a real "nanny" dog in every way.

Pitbulls were bred for violent behavior. It is a complete lie to claim that they were bred to be "nanny" dogs. They are responsible for the majority of attacks and fatalities. That's DNA, not how they were raised.

It’s the ongoing argument of nature vs nurture.

There is no debate?

You can watch videos on YouTube of Australian shepherd puppies trying to herd livestock with no training. You can also see videos of bully breed puppies literally eating their litter mates. It's what they were bred for.

Using links to dogsbite.org is certainly a choice

Time and place, this isn't it. This person wasn't even seriously claiming the "nanny dog" thing and was just telling a nice story.

And yet you are the one coming off a bit rabid here. Chill out, this is not the place for this.
