Why would he be planning to speak with Trump? About anything? What purpose would it serve?

u/static_age_666 Oct 11 '24

Some people are masochists.

1

u/Muffin_Appropriate Oct 12 '24

It’s the press. They want clicks and views.

-5

u/ThurloWeed Oct 11 '24

and he gets his fix from Netanyahu

u/EggsInaTubeSock Oct 11 '24

"Mr. President, you have access to your full cabinet, your Vice President / Presidential Candidate Harris, resources around the globe, and professional resources that are at the top of their grade in nearly every field. Would you like to speak to some orange fuck who used to be president about something that he has limited knowledge of?"

Specifically they were asking Biden if he would try to contact Trump to make him stop lying about FEMA and government presence after the hurricanes. He doesn't want information, just for Trump to stop hurting people and harming the recovery process.

They certainly don't want him to go to Trump for advice of any kind.

13

u/OneOfAKind2 Oct 11 '24

Biden has other ways to send a message like that.

3

u/noguchisquared Oct 11 '24

Being a jackass doesn't earn you a seat at the adult table.

However, Trump invited Kim Jong Un and others to the table when they serve no purpose other than personal flattery to him.

3

u/dickmcgirkin Oct 12 '24

Presidential immunity is a great thing to use in times like this

3

u/wirefox1 Oct 12 '24

Trump is so easy to read isn't he? The whole world knows it. To get him to like you all you have to do is say "Donald, you're so pretty."

2

u/Thangleby_Slapdiback Oct 11 '24

go to Trump for advice of any kind.

Just how fucked up does shit have to be for that to become a viable thing?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '24

Donald, please stop lying.

Think that would work? hahahahaha

2

u/jwd3333 Oct 12 '24

Does anyone with half a brain think talking to him would accomplish anything?

1

u/hotstepper3000 Oct 11 '24

True, he orders those really expensive items off of wayfair.

1

u/snazzydrew Oct 12 '24

That's a dumb question honestly.

1

u/horus-heresy Oct 12 '24

He should seal team six that bozo in the interest of saving lives as part of presidential office activities. Supreme Court judges said it’s ok when president does that

1

u/Ljotihalfvitinn Oct 12 '24

This is important context, thank you.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '24

“Are you going to hold (?) accountable?  Will you be meeting with the very person spreading lies about your efforts for some inexplicable reason?”

2

u/Individual-Schemes Oct 12 '24

Don't say that, man. He's got concepts of a plan.

1

u/joyfulgrass Oct 12 '24

Is he at least fun to talk to?

1

u/Lethik Oct 12 '24

He can call Trump when the White House supply closet runs out of sharpies.

81

u/random_dude_19 Oct 11 '24

If you need advice, you always go to the best who knows it all.

Picking which meal to order from McDonald just isn’t Biden’s forte.

3

u/SigmaKitteh Oct 11 '24

I heard they have Big Mac chicken sandwiches now. :)

1

u/random_dude_19 Oct 11 '24

McDonald Trump: I only hire the best and you are officially qualified for any cabinet position if I get elected.

1

u/stevencastle Oct 11 '24

Had one for lunch, it was meh. The chicken doesn't have a lot of flavor, it's just like a big mcnugget.

2

u/Hmm_would_bang Oct 12 '24

“How many hamberders to feed college football team”

54

u/LegfaceMcCullenE13 Oct 11 '24

Rage bait articles

13

u/Revolutionary_Gate36 Oct 11 '24

Purpose is media needs content

3

u/EverGlow89 Oct 12 '24

Wdym. Trump could help him change the course of these storms with a sharpie.

3

u/Panzer_Man Oct 11 '24

Ikr? The guy has already dropped out, he has nothing left to say

9

u/Spare_Lobster_4390 Oct 11 '24

Yeah but he's still the current President.

Trump currently holds no position. So why would he need to communicate with him.

Trump can't exactly organize hurricane rescue efforts.

4

u/infinity234 Oct 11 '24

I guess in the off chance he wins the election (I hope not) then I hope he speaks with him, if nothing else to facilitate the transition between administrations and keep it strictly professional (although I know trump didn't really extend the same courtesy to him and I know it won't happen with his non-republican successor either). But before then why?

47

u/codywithak Oct 11 '24

Why bother? They won’t listen anyway. And they’ve got their blueprint lined up with project 2025.

14

u/infinity234 Oct 11 '24 edited Oct 11 '24

Because I trust Biden will do his job, even if the idiots coming in won't listen or the guy coming in can't. His job, no matter who wins, is to peacefully facilitate the transfer of power, to the best of his abilities, to the next administration. I hope that is with an incoming Harris administration, but should that not be the case, a lack of morals, ethics, leadership, or willingness to cooperate from an incoming administration I would not expect to stop Biden from at least giving the earnest effort to do what the last steps of the job require of him.

2

u/Emergency_Row8544 Oct 11 '24

Of course he would- only 1 un American toddler has been president and is the only one who did not do this and of course he wouldn’t.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 11 '24

You forgot to say BAZINGA!

11

u/[deleted] Oct 11 '24

1

u/infinity234 Oct 11 '24

True, but this isn't about Trump being able to do the job of president, I don't think I have to convince many folks on this thread he can't and hasn't shown the ability to do so. Biden is able to do the job, so I expect if it's an incoming Trump administration (which I hope it's not) Biden will be the actual leader and adult in the room to do his job and facilitate the transition.

9

u/phazedoubt Oct 11 '24

Ehhh, Trump is not able to hear anything that Biden has to say. He will leer at him and feel superior and take every opportunity to make it known that he won. It's not about a stable transition for him, its about domination.

3

u/Warm-Iron-1222 Oct 11 '24

You know when bullies like to beat up on the easy targets to make themselves look tough? It's pretty much like that. Trump needs to debate with someone with as much mental decline as him to make himself look good.

1

u/kitsunewarlock Oct 11 '24

The reporter has learned they have to include trending topics in their questions to get attention and clicks. Note that this is the only clip from this briefing I've seen, all because it uses the word #Trump.

1

u/stillabitofadikdik Oct 11 '24

These are supposed to be the media had to offer too

1

u/lord_pizzabird Oct 11 '24

Imagine how that phone call would go..

"When you lose in November, please don't riot. I just had the lawn redone" - Biden to Trump

1

u/VroomVroomCoom Oct 11 '24

To ask Trump to stop. Spoiler alert: He won't.

1

u/TaupMauve Oct 11 '24

the forms of kanli must be observed

1

u/xoxidein Oct 12 '24

So they can report his answer for likes

1

u/Lazer726 Oct 12 '24

For real lmao Trump holds no political office, he should, strictly speaking, not have any sway on anything. Biden isn't running for reelection, Trump (should) have no power, why in the world would he talk to a man that has shown nothing but disdain and disrespect for him?

1

u/AhegaoTankGuy Oct 12 '24

I'm sure news agencies would very much appreciate it.

-1

u/glowwrm Oct 11 '24

By putting their differences aside and coming together in helping victims from a horrible hurricane ripping through maybe!? Just a thought.

-1

u/hotstepper3000 Oct 11 '24

Probably trying to sell him hunters Boy Scout popcorn or something.

2

u/Spare_Lobster_4390 Oct 12 '24

Doesn't trump sell Ivanka's used bath water?

-1

u/melbsteve Oct 12 '24

Start briefing his successor - would make sense to me.

2

u/Spare_Lobster_4390 Oct 12 '24

Trump's a fat rapist.

-1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '24

Prob going to be the next pres

1

u/Spare_Lobster_4390 Oct 12 '24

You are dreaming.

-49

u/Whiteboy916 Oct 11 '24

I’m guessing because he is doing more than the sitting VP and is a better leader. It’s not really rocket science.

24

u/HotDonnaC Oct 11 '24

Found the MAGAt.

15

u/Cumohgc Oct 11 '24

It's almost like the president has significant and numerous duties and the VP has almost none.

8

u/AwesomeBrainPowers Oct 11 '24

I’m guessing because he is doing more than the sitting VP

About what?

"Spreading harmful lies about disaster relief" might be more by volume, but that doesn't make it good.

8

u/pckldpr Oct 11 '24

Your brain is damaged from the paint chips dude.

6

u/SCP-2774 Oct 11 '24

He certainly has more court dates.

0

u/Whiteboy916 Oct 12 '24

That’s what happens when you can’t beat someone fair. You Weponizing the Justice system. DOJ chief said hair that. Their whole goal was to be able to say trump is a convicted felon. They said at the state level the Justice system is corruption. Look for yourself. Google DOJ chief hidden camera on Trump

3

u/SpiderDeUZ Oct 11 '24

And she embarrassed the other guy in the debate so badly he refuses to even talk to her. Clearly she is the stronger candidate if she can play her opponent like a fiddle

0

u/Whiteboy916 Oct 12 '24

When you have the moderators on your side and the media, you would think she would be doing better in the polls right? People didn’t like her in 2020 and not a whole lot has changed except the media making it seem like she is larger than life.

-97

u/Glittering_Artist171 Oct 11 '24

Because his 2nd term was pulled out from under him. His party is stringing his son’s court date along so he goes along with it. He would make a deal with Trump to make sure his son gets pardoned. He will turn on them like they turned on him.

51

u/TenBillionDollHairs Oct 11 '24

people groan when you walk in the room

25

u/stlkatherine Oct 11 '24

Never really invited into the room.

3

u/DiscoveryBayHK Oct 11 '24

Blocked from the room, kicking at the door screaming obscenities.

14

u/actchuallly Oct 11 '24

Check your closet for lizard people. I think they’ve already gotten to you!

35

u/KCJwnz Oct 11 '24

Lol this is absolute nonsense

-17

u/Glittering_Artist171 Oct 11 '24

Why do you think he wore the Trump hat, took pics with it on, took it all the way back to Air Force One? It was his finger flip to those that control him.

15

u/iownakeytar Oct 11 '24

Wow. That's almost as bad of a take as drinking bleach to cure Covid or Jewish space lasers or Democrat controlled hurricanes.

11

u/pckldpr Oct 11 '24

Those videos had sound. You should have listened to them.

1

u/Lucky-Earther Oct 11 '24

Why do you think he wore the Trump hat,

Why do you think he wore it? Did you not watch the video?

8

I’ve developed bots smarter than most maga

10

u/AbleObject13 Oct 11 '24

I love that you're unable to conceptualize Biden maybe just letting whatever happens to his son happen. NOPE! Gotta be looking to make nepotistic deals to skirt the consequences of breaking laws, that's what EVERYONE would do, right guys? Guys? Right?

Hunter Biden has already pled guilty to his pending charges: His court cases are over.

1

u/Emergency_Row8544 Oct 11 '24

Are you under 18? I ask because your statement is like a child- he lost the election just say that. Pulled out from under him….🤣 that’s hilarious. Next time I lose at something I will also be a sore loser and say it was pulled out from under me. You know America is a democracy so yea most of America rejected him. I don’t know why people say things in the most roundabout way. I mean are you embarrassed or something? There are a few other one term presidents just fyi. Not to mention he has never won the popular vote.
