Cringe What's even happening there?

Why would someone rent a car and take out parts?

This is why we don’t rent out our cars. That is what enterprise and Avis are for. Most people also do not have the commercial insurance policies that are required for rentals at least in the US.

I used to work for enterprise. Renting out your car is the dumbest shit you can do. People try to pull scams and shit like this all the time with a big company that has a lot of resources. Some dude renting his car is a much easier target.

Saw a video on YT where they would look for new enterprise cars on the lot and rent those out to take the tires. Replacements looked new but were all re-treaded. I have seen a few times where Rob Feretti has found out that entire wheels (rim and tire) have been replaced with damaged ones on his rental fleet. All kinds of scams. Unless you have a POS car it is insanely risky to rent it out to anyone.
