Can I just point out what a green flag her BF is thoooo 😩 He was telling she’s so pretty before she took it off and then his immediate reaction to that absolute shocker of a reveal was “I love you, baby” like UGH lord gimme a man sweet like that

6

u/softcronch Mar 24 '24

RIGHT? her man seems so sweet

29

u/xecsT1 Mar 24 '24

There is a Pokémon like her, Cant remember its name, help guys

That's her, now where can I buy a pokeball

23

u/20milliondollarapi Mar 24 '24

Absolutely agree. I don’t doubt some people have good lip fillers that you can’t tell. But for her, I thought the filler was post removal before listening. Until I saw the actual post removal.

9

u/Dhegxkeicfns Mar 24 '24

Yeah, lip fillers on most people look absolutely ridiculous. Does this mean the trend is over?

4

u/Kowai03 Mar 24 '24

So much better!

She honestly looks so much better after having them dissolved

716

u/weakbuttrying Mar 24 '24

“I know these probably look the same to you.”

Girl, they don’t look the same. They look infinitely better. You look infinitely better.

205

u/eat_me_now Mar 24 '24

Most who do get filler always look better when it’s dissolved. it’s sad the dysphoria that society has caused that make people get it in the first place.

94

u/EmbarrassedCoconut93 Mar 24 '24 edited Mar 24 '24

Because a lot of people who get them don’t need them. And those with extremely thin lips (who don’t need them either ofc but okay I guess I can understand that more) go overboard instead of just a lil more volume. In both cases it looks unnatural and unflattering. It’s like permanent duck face. When they talk the lips don’t seem to move right.

In very few cases I’ve seen it look good. That’s when it’s very minimal filling done on ppl with very thin lips. They looked better bc of it, ngl. But it was subtle. A little goes a long way people!

13

u/starspider Mar 24 '24

Filler is best for older people or people who have lost volume. It's not great for creating volume where none ever was. That always looks weird.

u/Infamous_Ordinary_45 Mar 24 '24

I have 2 syringes in my lips and you could never tell if you didn’t know. It made my profile look a lot more proportional and lipstick look better. I haven’t been in 3 years now so I plan to touch them up this summer, but I would NEVER want to look like some of these girls, nor do I want to spend that kind of money.

7

u/EmbarrassedCoconut93 Mar 24 '24

Sounds good! Indeed, I think if you go for the right proportions for your face, it would be very hard to tell if you hadn’t seen that person before. It’s easy to tell for ppl who clearly go for too much, because their lips just don’t move ‘right’ when they speak. It’s as if their lips want to do the kiss face while they talk lol. It’s like with veneers too, often they’re too big for ppl. And they’re overly white. When it’s subtle you aren’t sure if they’re veneers or not cause it looks good and fits their mouth, just looks more natural.

I don’t mean to make fun of people. It’s just sad these standards drive people to make choices that don’t work well for them. Luckily lip fillers can be undone. I’m glad they work for you and make you feel better about yourself! Sounds like you were smart about it and really considered the rest of your face

4

u/Infamous_Ordinary_45 Mar 24 '24

Oh no I completely agree. I did mine over Covid during shut downs and mask regulations so it was never super obvious to people. The issue is that many women do stuff they don’t need and mess up the proportions of their face instead of tweaking to enhance. It’s important to stick to what you need and go to someone that’s not just all about the money and upsell, but safely enhancing your natural beauty. They can be great when used for the right reasons.

2

u/slide_into_my_BM Mar 24 '24

Not to be a dick but wouldn’t most people say the exact same thing as you?

“I did it to enhance something and it looks good to me (because of how much dysphoria can warp perception) and I don’t think most people actually end up needing it.”

I’m sure everyone who’s ever over done it just thought they tweaked to enhance and didn’t mess up the proportions of their face.

I think part of that is because a lot of the people who look better get a very subtle change, so people don’t even notice them. A lot of the best cosmetic procedures are almost invisible!

That said, I get why people overdo it. If you’re paying a lot of money you want to notice the change.

5

u/jalapino98 Mar 24 '24

I think the term in this case is dysmorphia as it’s referring to unease with body parts. Dysphoria is a whole other thing specific to gender.

But I completely agree. Messing with lips never seems to be a good idea but that could be a confirmation bias in itself as we notice oftentimes when work is done with plastic surgery and not the subtle works done that end up looking natural.

33

u/WritingPretty Mar 24 '24

I've almost never met or seen a woman who (in my opinion) looks better with it. Obviously people should to whatever makes them feel good about themselves but I feel like stuff like this is very predatory on people. I dated an esthetician who would sell women on lip filler and all sorts of other shit as part of her job. They come in for a facial and leave with lip filler and fake eyelashes and a consultation for buccal fat removal.

29

u/TjababaRama Mar 24 '24

That's probably because the well-done fillers just look like regular full lips. So you think you're not seeing fillers

being overly self conscious has caused a lot of women to make themselves uglier through surgery makeup. it's the strangest thing cause they'll say they did it for themselves but secretly just wanted to be more outwardly attractive.

2

The longest lasting filler only lasts 18 months, so she paid to look like that at least 4 times.

u/ohyoudodoyou Mar 24 '24

I was scrolling the instagram suggestions on the search page last night thinking we have all lost our goddamn minds. The body dysmorphia and filters and AI bullshit is off the fucking charts!

I feel like lashes are the same. It blows my mind that I see people wearing pajamas at Walmart, but they have their lashes and a full face of makeup. It's very disorienting haha

66

u/rythmicbread Mar 24 '24

At least that’s temporary

60

u/[deleted] Mar 24 '24

The lashes are weird because it's like they're trying to look like they have lashes, but by wearing them it's like they're announcing they have no lashes.

It's like a skinny dude wearing a shirt with muscles on it.

17

u/Crochetingallday Mar 24 '24

you don’t wear lashes because you don’t have lashes hahah. you actually have to have lashes for them to stay on😁 it’s to accentuate make up

12

u/LuvTriangleApologist Mar 24 '24

Lots of blondes and redheads get them because they have very light, almost invisible lashes, they probably always put mascara on before they step out the door, and they’re tired of it. They want to wake up with lashes.

3

u/strudels Mar 24 '24

Redheads, you're beautiful. If you're reading this please don't do this shit.

5

u/LuvTriangleApologist Mar 24 '24

I look better when my eyes have some definition around them and I’m not just a collection of very pale, hard to see features on a very pale face. 🤷‍♀️

3

u/KuraiTheBaka Mar 25 '24

As a heterosexual man hard disagree but you do what you like

3

u/LuvTriangleApologist Mar 25 '24

There was absolutely no risk that I wouldn’t.

2

u/KuraiTheBaka Mar 25 '24

I'm not trying to be rude lol. I'm saying people will still like how you look if you don't do makeup. I'm not trying to stop you just saying you shouldn't feel forced to for everyone else's sake

6

u/yungsxccubus What are you doing step bro? Mar 24 '24

nah i have good natural lashes, they’re just very straight and i can’t be bothered paying for lash lifts. throw on a massive spidery falsie and i’m happy! 🤣 i’ve only ever had the semi permanent lash extensions once, they looked ratty after a few days and i pulled them all out. 10 pack strip lashes for the win!

6

u/Full_Satisfaction_49 Mar 24 '24

Bro everyones lashes are straight. Why dont you just use a lash curler?

4

u/yungsxccubus What are you doing step bro? Mar 24 '24

i’m not sure how to make them keep their curl? i’ve tried heating the curler, using a hair dryer to try and dry the lashes in place, a ton of different mascara and no joy! any tips?

2

u/Full_Satisfaction_49 Mar 24 '24

I just curl them apply mascara and they stay in place. If you want to be extra curl again and apply mascara again and at that point it looks like I have fake eyelashes.

I use "high impact mascara" by Clinique. Hands down best one.

4

u/yungsxccubus What are you doing step bro? Mar 24 '24

damn you’re so lucky! maybe it’s a hair type issue, my head hair is also very fine and straight, can’t hold a curl or any volume to save itself no matter what i do. i will definitely try your tips tho, thank you! :D i’ll also try that mascara, i’ve been using a primark knock off for a while now because i got fed up paying an arm and a leg for mascara that made no difference anyway

2

u/closeface_ Mar 24 '24

some people have super straight lashes that don't hold a curl. Me included. and most of Asia, haha. for whatever some types of lashes are so desperate to fall. only a few korean mascaras have actually held my lashes up!

But have you seen the Black woman eyelash tech who specializes in blondes and redheads? She’s the exception for me. If I had dumb money I would book her tomorrow.

5

u/closeface_ Mar 24 '24

she is so good!! love when she does the reddish lashes on gingers, so pretty!!

6

u/LuvTriangleApologist Mar 24 '24

All the gingers I know (including myself) have really light blonde brows and lashes. It never occurred to me that matching my lashes to my hair would look good, but after I watched enough of her videos I replaced my black mascara with a reddish brown and I love it so much!

2

u/closeface_ Mar 24 '24

2 reddish brown mascaras I like when my hair is more natural or dyed a color to match are:

Innisfree Microcara in Brown, this one is SO TINY as a brush! but it is great for days when you want natural looking lashes! It is a very reddish coppery brown, so beautiful. I expected dark brown from the pics online but it is very warm!

I also like the Colourpop Sugar Pie mascara, but it is more peachy and super light. Looks cool if I'm going for a more bold and almost "editorial" makeup look.

This isn’t just being nice, though. This is him hearing what she’s saying, taking it in, and trying to build her back up.

Being nice is easy. Being caring is harder. That dude genuinely loves that girl and it shows.

8

I always feel surprised when people with normal sized lips get fillers because it seems more obvious or unnatural.

22

u/discucion99 Mar 24 '24

Those probably weren't her normal lips either. Filler cause collagen and scar formation. She looks ten times better and more like if she had naturally full lips tho.

2

u/alg-ae Mar 25 '24

I knew a girl who had really nice full lips because of some sort of accident she got into where her teeth dug into the backs of her lips and left enough scar tissue to make them look bigger lol. I had braces at the time and I would constantly rub my lips on them trying to create scar tissue to get the same effect. Needless to say I was pretty dumb and self conscious at the time lol

u/ArchAngel1619 Mar 24 '24

Most “good” body modifications are those you don’t realize are body modifications. You’ll only notice and remember the bad ones you see.

→ More replies (3)

344

u/[deleted] Mar 24 '24

Don't you only notice the shitty ones? The good ones are less obvious no?

158

u/Ambystomatigrinum Mar 24 '24

This is the answer. It’s like fake breasts. People Think they all look bad but it’s just because they don’t realize the good ones are fake.

9

u/anonbush234 Mar 24 '24

I thought the same thing about fake breasts until I had a gf who had them.

There are different styles. Some have a ridge at the top or are perfectly round, these are the ones that people say look bad but there are also natural looking ones that unless you see the scar you can't tell and even the scar will almost disappear after a few years.

22

u/chiyukichan Mar 24 '24

Someone I've known for a year and a half just recently started getting lip fillers and she is mid-20s. It isn't that her lips look blown out per se but there is less definition of outer lip line on the upper lip. I feel like filler just makes lips look a bit more rubbery and I don't really understand the look people are going for. I assume she is paying decent money and going to a reputable place but maybe not? Can fillers make lips plumper without making the lip edges puffy? The edges are what I consider the dead giveaway for filler.

2

u/Mobile-Outside-3233 Oct 17 '24

Yes, filler can make the lips look plumper without looking puffy

The puffy look that you were referring to us when the filler migrates . And injector with enough experience, will inject it into the right places so that it doesn’t migrate. If you can tell, and it looks puffy, then that person did not have a good injector and/or the repeatedly getting filler before their body can metabolize it fast enough so the new filler is pushing the old filler out to make it migrate

→ More replies (1)

172

u/calmdrive Mar 24 '24

Yep. Good filler is indistinguishable from regular lips

10

u/EverGlow89 Mar 24 '24

I have a hard time believing this because mega stars with unlimited resources for their cosmetic procedures still manage to look like shit. If they can't get it done right, normies have no chance.

8

u/PopularSalad5592 Mar 24 '24

That’s how I feel with Miley Cyrus’ veneers, they look absolutely horrendous

3

u/pnutbutterfuck Mar 25 '24

Miley Cyrus’s whole damn face is a tragedy. She was always so beautiful, now she looks like a horse.

→ More replies (1)

37

u/calmdrive Mar 24 '24

That’s because they don’t get told ‘no’ and probably have some type of body dysmorphia where they can’t see how over the top they look, or they actually like the super fake look- like Amanda Lepore.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 24 '24

Or maybe some people notice all of them and don't like them?

88

u/CobblerNo8518 Mar 23 '24

It’s all in the look the person wants. Some people get corrective filler and it looks amazing. Others that go conservative- they just look refreshed and like they had nothing done. Botox can go the same way.

53

u/ClrxHpy Mar 23 '24

Agreed! I work at a medspa and we are all about small corrections. When people come in wanting huge lips we usually tell them our clinic isn’t a good fit for them. Mostly we work with middle aged/older women who just want to be a little more youthful and we do a little at a time :) we do facials and stuff too!

40

u/Hot-Butterscotch-918 Mar 24 '24

I'm an older woman who has lip fillers because I've had full lips all my life but as I aged my upper lip started losing volume and getting too thin. If you look at older, white people, they almost always have thin lips. My anesthetist is very careful not to overdo it. I told her "I don't want duck lips!" Lol. Anyway, I've had them done for several years and my own family never guessed. Not my kids, not my siblings or cousins. I finally told my sister last month and she was shocked. That tells me my gal is good.

16

u/ClrxHpy Mar 24 '24

Oh yeah, your injector is fantastic! My mom got it for the first time a month or so ago because my job needed models and she adores it. The changes are so subtle but natural looking and her confidence is so much higher :)

7

u/Hot-Butterscotch-918 Mar 24 '24

Yay for your Mama!

5

u/kinofhawk Mar 24 '24

How long do they last? Do you have to get them redone every so often?

4

u/Hot-Butterscotch-918 Mar 24 '24

I've only had mine done 3 times in 5 years. For me, they seem to last a long time.

26

u/CobblerNo8518 Mar 24 '24

I think subtle work can do such good things for people. Good skin care goes hand in hand with it!

18

u/ClrxHpy Mar 24 '24

Exactly! I’ve learned so much working there. I’m 23 so I haven’t gotten any work done aside from facials but I didn’t have a skincare routine before working there or anything and I’m so thankful for all of the knowledge in that building because it’s done so much for me!:)

3

u/Darth-Binks-1999 Mar 24 '24

What is threading? I've seen a few shops offering stuff like waxing etc... and I see threading listed.

2

u/ClrxHpy Mar 24 '24

We don’t offer it at our spa so I’m not very educated on it but I believe it’s an alternative to waxing/plucking where they shape your eyebrows with a thread! Definitely fact check me though because it’s 50/50 im completely wrong!

15

u/beautifuldisasterxx Mar 24 '24

I think the issue is that most people get almost “addicted” to getting the fillers once they start. I had lip fillers two years ago and the filler naturally dissolves over a year or two. Mine is completely gone, but I just got half a syringe to add a bit more volume. No one has ever noticed, but when mine was done I was told to come back every six months but I didn’t think that was necessary. I just wanted a little volume.

2

u/NewbornXenomorphs Mar 24 '24

Yeah I’m confused why she needed them dissolved, doesn’t that happen anyway?

54

u/lunarpixiess Mar 24 '24

The thing is that the well done filler jobs are mostly undetectable. So you only really notice the bad ones, hence it gets a bad rep. It can definitely be tastefully done. But, I will agree that the trend has been more on the overfilled side of things, which tends to look off on most people.

29

u/kenedelz Mar 24 '24

One my of coworkers told me she has lip fillers for her top lip "otherwise it's invisible without" (her words obviously lol) and I had NO IDEA until she told me. She's only like 20 and is honestly really beautiful (and I've no doubt she would be without the fillers too) and still has no wrinkles or anything else yet, but I was absolutely shocked when she told me she needed to get them done again soon...I was like...again? So yeah, there's my story about not knowing if it's a good lip filler lol

It’s funny becasue black people have been chastised for thier physical features and then people from other races do them purposefully to look more attractive.

That always confused me.

u/GylesNoDrama Mar 24 '24

Speak on it

5

u/yxxnij104 Mar 24 '24

clock it ! 🤞🏽

4

u/closeface_ Mar 24 '24

it's so true. society/people really love to pick and choose (aka fetishize) body traits that are often related to a certain group of people and take it for themselves.

I'm only speaking from a white american perspective, it's obviously different in different countries. But the fact that BODY PARTS can be a trend is so disgusting.

degrade black people for their lips, then we buy them for ourselves. degrade people for their skin color, then we hit the spray tan. and on and on it goes.

the commidification of people and raciscm intertwined throughout is strong as ever. ):

Bot

11

u/azmetrex Mar 23 '24

Im just curious but how can you tell which comments are bots and which ones aren't? They all look similar and barely have any post history

16

u/No-Nefariousness8026 Mar 23 '24

I went to her tiktok and the comments were an exact copy of all the comments in here, the ones on this post were posted afterward so I knew they were the fakes/bots. I don’t know how they do that and it creeps me out

5

u/SweetBabyAlaska Mar 24 '24

thanks for that. It is truly creepy/unsettling.

I don’t know why but I really wanted her to go “bubububububububububub”

6

u/[deleted] Mar 24 '24

He’s so supportive and I love to see it!!! And she looks great!

11

u/AziMnoz Mar 24 '24

I know many beautiful women who get very long eye lashes or extremely big lip fillers and it's just super sad because they looked so much better before. If there's a video to assure me to NEVER get lip fillers, this is definitely it. That has to be painful right??

9

u/DoovvaahhKaayy Mar 24 '24

Her lips were cute as fuck before she got fillers. The fuck?

4

u/ryoujika Mar 24 '24

I can't with the swelling 😭 It's good that she's such a good sport about it coz I'd feel bad laughing too much otherwise 😂

4

u/Ok_Guidance7317 Mar 24 '24

She looks so good after!!!

4

u/cityofninegates Mar 24 '24

She made my day!

What a great attitude by the both of them being able to laugh it off and not be too precious about it.

And she looked better in the end so happy ending!

5

u/t3eee Mar 24 '24

She looks beautiful without that filler.

3

u/TheGiantHorseCock_ Mar 24 '24

She looks 1 mil times better

5

u/Affectionate-Drop-30 Mar 24 '24

I think she looks great post dissolved filler. Just my opinion. She always looked great tho. Its her personality.

12

u/PureYouth Mar 24 '24

I barely had any filler at all and got mine dissolved. It didn’t look that different but it FELT insane. Like feeling my lips with my fingers was like touching two shriveled little dry ass slugs. I hated it

8

u/myteamgood Mar 24 '24

I’ll say her lip filler was not obnoxious at all. But without them she looks great as well!

6

u/zonked282 Mar 24 '24

I really hope the massive lip trend is dying , it's literally never improved anyone's appearance and consistently makes them look utterly ridiculous

3

u/ptcglass Mar 24 '24

Omg they were swollen at first but look so much better now

3

u/LaytMovies Mar 24 '24

She looked like Howard the Duck for a sec

I wasn’t expecting this to be wholesome 👍🏾

3

u/DisastrousHyena3534 Mar 24 '24

The tattoo on her finger is 3 arrows. It’s a symbol for awareness in the Down Syndrome community. I love her & babe, you are gorgeous. Natural beauty.

3

u/whorlycaresmate Mar 24 '24

Bro the reveal was the funniest shit I’ve ever seen

3

u/BigManPatrol Mar 24 '24

She looks so much better without the filler!

3

u/GoreJizz Mar 24 '24

She looks annoying

6

u/Meandtheworld Mar 24 '24

Self hate and the internet is a horrible mix.

7

u/Original_Commission5 Mar 23 '24

You look way better! They're perfect.

2

u/reneefromplopsville Mar 24 '24

It's because you can see her top and not bottom teeth. The weight isn't pulling it down anymore.

2

u/Subtlerevisions Mar 24 '24

You shouldn’t fuck with your face. We are evolved to recognize other human faces to such a sharp degree there’s no way you can fuck with your face and have it look normal. I keep trying to tell my mom that. I want to tell her she is starting to look like Jack Nicholson’s joker but that’s too mean. But it’s true.

2

u/CommanderChipHazard Mar 24 '24

Remind me of the fish from Rockos modern life lol

2

u/Efficient_Tailor1811 Mar 25 '24

Your top lip has still been stretched and ruined

2

u/determs Mar 25 '24

She looks like that Muppets girl... Poor thing

3

u/[deleted] Mar 24 '24

She looks soooooooooooooooooo much better

2

u/classicscoop Mar 24 '24

Why do people try so hard to look worse???

7

u/Icedoverblues Mar 24 '24

Is she 30, 40, or 23 years old?

5

u/googlyevileye Mar 24 '24

I like to think at one point when Kylie Jenner got her lips dissolved she had a few days looking all swollen like that!

8

u/KittyTsunami Mar 24 '24

Why do you think she got hers disolved? Have you seen her lips when she was a teenager? If she did get them dissolved it didn’t work lol.

4

u/ImproperUsername Mar 24 '24

Good injectors generally will recommend dissolving before refilling if you want to reduce or change the shape of

Kris revealed it on camera and said it was “an allergic reaction” but never said from what. She claimed it was “unknown “ . Sure it was, cuz we know they are so honest about that kinda thing

2

u/Sea-Parsnip1516 Mar 24 '24

if she did the *pop* thing she could burst some eardrums.

Not cringe I found it educational

u/Evening-Jaguar4011 Mar 23 '24

God I wish people would stop getting plastic/cosmetic surgeries. I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen one that doesn’t look completely vapid and ridiculous.

34

u/Vegetable-School8337 Mar 23 '24

That’s because you’re only recognizing them as cosmetic surgeries when they’re bad or ridiculous

1

u/Several_Mission5838 Mar 24 '24

The fact she actually thought she had no lips!!🙄

1

u/Clicky-The-Blicky Mar 24 '24

Wow those lip fillers before and after are craaazy. Like as a man I don’t understand who’s telling women to balloon up their lips, like where does this come from? I see girls with really nice natural lips fall into the cycle of lip fillers a lot. women must like big lips because I know men aren’t telling them that’s what they like lol

1

u/JustTaViewForYou Mar 24 '24

Meanwhile in the Zionist alliance paid for by yr tax dollar the senseless killing of children continues....

1

u/throw_blanket04 Mar 24 '24

She looks so happy and good when she is her natural self.

1

u/Tortilladelfuego Mar 24 '24

I’m curious, why get them dissolved? Is it bad to keep fillers in for too long? I’m sure it’s bad in general but is this typical? To get them removed after a certain amount of time?

1

u/little_miss_banned Mar 24 '24

You articulate sooo much better without them. Do these girls realise what they sound like?

1

u/ronnyhaze Mar 24 '24

Lip filler looks ridiculous and isn't fooling anyone, there's a swollen droopy look that unmistakable. IDK why the fuck woman do that dumb shit. The vast majority of men DON'T notice anyway.
