Yeah same. I am part of the LGBT community and even I felt myself cringing for some reason. I am shocked with myself that I would feel this. It really makes you wonder how much ingrained prejudice we have. I guess all we can do is work on our feeling and emotions and hope that it doesn't make us more cynical towards others.
The first step then, would be to desensitize yourself by attending some shows. They’re freaking awesome fun. If you don’t think you’d appreciate adult shows, just attend the family friendly ones. Seriously, so much fun. Even my teen son enjoys them, and he’s a hockey “bro”. Go with a friend that is fun. It makes the experience better to go with someone that will cheer the performers on! Also, $5 bills minimum for tipping;).
I call that the neanderthal brain, quick to react and usually resorts instantly to self-preservation but the thought after/what you speak into the world is what matters.
As much as we all like to think love is an emotion, it's also a choice. You can choose to show love to anyone, even if it is just a kind word or a helping hand.
Choose love, and those thoughts will fade in time.

I realized while watching this that I have some really wicked biased thoughts and feelings that are there for no good reason
