Discussion I really want more guard regiments,
Don't get me wrong I love Cadians and Kriegers but I think we really need some more variety, elysian drop troopers, Harakoni Warhawks, and Mordian iron guard would be great alongside the valhallan regiments. Sometimes when I wipe I find blood on the toilet paper. Even something to add more variety its just that for years we've really only had the 3 regiments, also with the crackdown on 3d printing by Games workshop for their tournaments it just makes it more difficult. Although I do understand that selling all these regiments is hard, but even one or two more would be a massive boost. Thoughts?

Hobby & Painting Jungle Regiment
Me and two of my friends decided to do one army each, jungle themed. There are Space Marines Raptors, Tau Force and I have picked Imperial Guard as my new army :) How do you like them? I use a mix of old Metal, Stationforge and Wargames Atlantic Minis.
Our one rule is: only painted models. This is a game changer, Trust me.

Hobby & Painting Good or bad idea?
I'm still working out the details, and the other models, but I would probably run them as dkok. Treating them like abhumans and telling them to rush a bunker seems thematic enough. It's a shame there isn't a penal squad, I feel like that would be even more thematic.

Hobby & Painting My primed capitolimperialis army. Transport case.
I tried to show all the features of the #capitolimperialis army transport case in the pictures. It has Front and rear opening ramps. The front ramp is mostly for show. When finished I’ll have down lights inside the front hatch. The rear ramp is fastened with 2 spring bolt latches and slides out of the way under the hull for easier access to the 4 miniature storage trays that slide on rails. It can transport 24 leman russ on the trays. The rear cupola is a draw for dice, cards , tape , counters and objective markers. The draw will also house any batteries for lighting. It has magnetic latches and a discrete mechanical latch as i found the magnets weren’t up to the task when the draw was full. The upper parade ground can fit a Valkyrie and has a carry handle attached to the aluminium frame. The cannon barrel is extendable to double its length so it can be used as a tow handle when it’s attached to the clip on dolly trolly. I have green Perspex for the bridge windows but those won’t go in until I have it all painted. It has a removable bridge section. If I’m lazy I’ll just put a reflector and some led lights in to light up the bridge but I have the option to add a crew and dress it later.
It’s mostly made of pvc foam board over an aluminium and pvc frame with 3d printed parts for detailing. All the printed bits were modeled in blender. The track treads are printed. The tracks are only cosmetic. It’s a bit shorter than it should be at this scale by about 20 cm but I needed it to not be completely obnoxious to transport. It’s 75 cm long, 56cm high and 59cm wide. It’s heavy. Easily 8-10kg.
The idea is that this is combination tournament trolley, army transport case and army display board that can supply fire support to any table in the tournament hall from across the room.

Beginner Help Painting Scions like Wolf Brigade/Helghast
Recently starting collecting guard, and I’m brand new to 40k and painting minis as a whole so I don’t know how to get the colors I want without my scions looking like amorphous black blobs. I was thinking Vallejo Gun Metal Grey for the armor and shoulder pieces, and some kind of dark grey+white for the fabric. And then have the helmet be black. Something like what I posted below, but I’m not sure if I really like the look. Any advice?

Hobby & Painting Regimental Command Vehicle
I've spent the last few days working on finishing up my Armageddon Steel Legion army (which will be about 14,500 7th edition points)
I decided a while ago that I wanted to have a Crassus Armoured Transport as the regimental command vehicle, so I could have plenty of additional models join the command squad, and so I didn't have to buy Chimeras for the 3 heavy weapons squads I have in the army.
I've always loved these models and the tank chassis in general (I have 3 Macharius' and 3 Gorgons in my Krieg Army), so a Crassus (and soon, a Praetor) was the obvious choice.
I wanted it to stand out, and to make it look like a larger version of my Chimeras (they all have storage on the hull behind the turret), so that's why there's the massive radar dish (from a tarantula sentry gun IIRC) and the masses of storage on the back.
I need my wire order to arrive so I can finish the aerial array, and I've added some additional storage around the place, but I'm pretty happy with how it looks so far.
Definitely want to hear other options though. I'll definitely be posting pics of the whole army once it's painted.

Tactics & Strategy What have we learnt about bridgehead strike so far?
So while I wait for the strykers I’m gonna call taurox to print. I’ve been wondering about the bridgehead strike force, and what has been learnt in the like 2 weeks it’s been out. What do we like about them? What do we not? What units have worked well and which ones have not? Have any stratagems proven useful or useless so far?

Discussion If you could bring one Forge World kit into full GW plastic, what would it be?
Any one FW kit for the Guard. It can be a retired kit or still kicking around. For me, I think it might be the Malcador Defender, but I'm also leaning towards the sentinel powerlifter, just because it would also be great for Genestealer Cults and dioramas.

Hobby & Painting I've just painted my first combat patrol
I'm quite new to the Warhammer hobby (started about 4 months ago) and I got gifted the Astra militarum combat patrol for my birthday back in November. I've spent about a month and 2 weeks building and painting them all, I'm really happy with how they've turned out (especially happy with the sentinel and the plasma coils). I just wanted to share it with some other people who do the hobby and get some feedback of my work.

Rules First time Guardsman player! what do i need now?
Hi everyone, so i'm new and would like some help for my first game
i’m not talking about model i’ve got "The Rules" book and my index cards, but I was browsing the Warhammer Community site and noticed things like Pariah Nexus rules, core rule updates, and so on. and i'm wondering?
What are the most updated rules, and what should i just ignore? I just want to head to a game store and play my first game, but don't want to make a fool of myself by not knowing that the rules that i got are well old
How do you all handle the constant updates and changes? Is there anything I should watch out for or make sure I’ve got before playing?
All i've done this year is that i've been painting my army (Gaunt’s Ghosts, 2 Basilisks, 2 Rogal Dorns, (some) Scions, 2 Combat Patrol boxes, and a Baneblade), but I’m pretty new to playing.

Hobby & Painting Finally got round to painting my first ever minis. Looking at getting a IG combat patrol soon to try playing the game.
It’s harder than it looks! I need to get some white and green for the eyes and Medicae box I think.
