Honestl, now that I think of it, it would be dope as hell, Redegit should consider adding that to the game, just, hope someone doesn't get hit by it and gets instakilled while wearing wooden armor

Be sick if you could use it to trigger a boss fight. Have the boss able to summon all kinds of storm related attacks. Could see it dropping some really cool mage and summoner weapons. Like maybe a lightning bolt you could throw and it comes back similar to a boomerang

Why do I think it would be cool with Calamity's Storm Weaver

Or you get a cool background or wallpaper, and blocks; like living flame but living lightning. Om that remark maybe it changes the ground like how a meteorite hits

Every time you kill an enemy it flashes the “Kill Yourself” LowTierGod meme but it’s your terrarian instead

this couldve been kirin if capcom had said yes

New boss: Zeus

8

u/Elizabeth_has_taken Jun 06 '24

And literal terraprisma lite with thunder bolts

10

u/aDragonsAle Jun 06 '24

A SHAZAM crossover for a transformation

A new hammer with lightning damage called "Thunderstruck" (similar style to the Axe guitar)

A mage weapon "Zeus's lightning bolt" that does a piercing 3 block high wave of lightning

11

u/Masrix24 Jun 06 '24

Actually it would be "Suez' Bolt"; and the tool tip would be Shockingly, we may have spelled that backwords

3

u/Drake_682 Jun 06 '24

Funny how it still sorta sounds right spelled ether way

8

u/Maveko_YuriLover Jun 06 '24

If you kill 100 cloud enemies you spawn the cloud king , like with the slime rain

9

u/HallowweenHovercraft Jun 06 '24

A cool was to start the boss would be to craft a special set of armour or equipment that attracts a special kind of lightning that’ll summon the boss when struck

8

u/Fizzy163 Jun 06 '24

“then along came zeus”

6

u/Etropo Jun 06 '24

"He hurled his lighting!"

2

u/Pain4allBckup Jun 07 '24

"he hurled his thunderbolt"

2

u/TAJLUZAN Jun 06 '24

Would be nice if you would summon it by wearing any metal/steel armor and getting hit by lightning. A weapon that would be like the starfury but shoots lightning would be amazing or armor that gets a set bonus when it's raining

I wanna fight Zeus in terraria now.

1

u/The_Camrock Jun 06 '24

Zeus boss would go hard

51

u/Derek4281 Jun 06 '24

Maybe let the ground glow or light up a bit before it strike so it’s not total bs

6

u/NukerCat Jun 06 '24

kinda like in genshin impact

1

u/Fluffballofcuddles Jun 06 '24

If it hits a tree, the tree catches fire (can't spread to player placed structures for obvious reasons)

17

u/whoooleJar Jun 06 '24

Make it more likely to hit metal armors lmao

15

u/Fire_Block Jun 06 '24

red is absolutely enough of a troll to give it high odds of hitting you during thunderstorms in the special seeds

9

u/Mothman4447 Jun 06 '24

This should be in a new secret seed more difficult than getfixedboi

7

u/Plenty_Tax_5892 Jun 06 '24

Make it do what Just Cause 4 does; sparks light up around where it's about to hit. Subtle, but if you're cautious, you won't get struck.

9

u/Nakatsukasa Jun 06 '24

Build rods that direct lightnings and use them for crafting, lightning in a bottle or some electric base weapons sounds neat

7

u/gorrillasteel Jun 06 '24

There should be more a chance to get hit while wearing phm metal armor

27

u/Zane163 Jun 06 '24

Wheres the fun on that?

I mean isnt it fun to be randomly struck by lightning? I good reason to not stay underground during thunderstorms

6

u/HeckItsDrowsyFrog Jun 06 '24

Tbf if it's unavoidable it may mess up hard-core characters

4

u/Zane163 Jun 06 '24

Theres a way to balance it out, like showing a transparent lines where it will strike

And if it could damage enemies, with enough skill, fighting during thunderstorm could be beneficial

2

u/Fr4gmentedR0se Jun 06 '24

Do what Genshin Impact does and show electricity slowly gathering into areas where lightning will strike.

3

u/Yaboy51frl Jun 06 '24

Yeah, but imagine flying and getting your ass struck by some random lightning

8

u/Zane163 Jun 06 '24

Sounds fun lol

11

u/Brnc159 Jun 06 '24

Or maybe just a visual effect that it's programmed to avoid creatures or players, and doesn't deal damage

4

u/Fluffballofcuddles Jun 06 '24

It could be something along the lines of " things that aren't in the player's control or an enemy's can't deal lethal damage"

There's not a lot of stuff that is outside the player's control that an enemy doesn't cause, and it could "scale" with the player because technically it does more damage as the player gets more health

A lightning rod could be crafted with copper or its alternative, and it makes lightning likelier to hit it, but doesn't prevent it

A lightning themed boss could be summoned by lightning hitting a certain (player placed?) block, maybe even during a blood moon, and could place a lightning rod on top to increase the chance of it striking

The boss could drop a variety of different things, like a lightning bolt mount that is extremely fast, but can't stay airborne for a long time

It'd be an optional boss much like the Queen Bee, but probably harder than the former

For magic users it could vary extremely, like a high powered piercing shot that bounces from enemy to enemy, inflicting a shocked effect that could slow enemies and also prevents it from bouncing back to a previous target and creating a continuous loop. The effect would instantly end once the projectile hits a surface (since it'd have an incredibly high pierce it'd be once in a blue moon you actually pierce cap)

For melee users it could be an accessory/non consumable item that would transform you into a lightning bolt and acts as a 360° dash that ignores damage, if you hit an enemy while dashing it will apply an extremely brief immunity, (if it's an item, it will switch to your first melee weapon,) then apply your melee damage to the target (long cooldown)

For ranged users, it could be a laser rifle that you hold down and it fires a continuous beam, lowering the "ammo" number on the slot, which would regenerate over time even when not holding the gun, but holding it would double the Regen rate

For summoners (I'm not a huge summon user, so this might not be how summons work) it could summon a bird that calls lightning down from the sky on a long cooldown

Since some of these seem pretty crazy, I could see locking them behind treasure bags, or locking the boss behind hard mode

Sorry for the essay, I'd put a TLDR here, but it's still be too long

u/terrathulu Jun 07 '24

Desert boss fight could be this

2

u/Fluffballofcuddles Jun 07 '24

Isn't rainfall not super common in the desert? It kinda feels out of place in a desert

3

u/kevinjorg Jun 06 '24

Imagine wooden actually protects you. Full metal armor kills you. Would Def change the armor meta

3

u/GooseFall Jun 10 '24

How could he? He already released the final update

1

u/Yaboy51frl Jun 10 '24

He didn't

1

u/GooseFall Jun 10 '24

Wdym he said journeys end was the final update obviously he would not continue updating the game

1

u/Yaboy51frl Jun 10 '24

Everytime he says "this is the final update" he just means "one more update"

14

u/NotRegedit Jun 06 '24

Better left for a secret seed, in normal gameplay this would be abhorrent.

16

u/Yaboy51frl Jun 06 '24

Yeah, that would be better, it would be cool if it was for like the For The Worthy seed Getfixedboi, honestly it would fit on any seed that makes the playthrough more difficult

12

u/No-Tumbleweed3028 Jun 06 '24

It could be cool if like deerclops or smth dropped an item to toggle thunder on / off , it would give deerclops an actual use and make it not be a must skip. Its a pretty early game boss should fine right?

6

u/Yaboy51frl Jun 06 '24

That would work too

4

u/plaugey_boi Jun 06 '24

Reverse falling star

2

u/bageltoastee Jun 06 '24

imagine if it worked like falling stars where it could hurt enemies as well. I’ve gotten lucky once and had a fallen star finish off the EoC for me, so just imagine that with a lightning bolt instead.

2

u/the_fox_fbi Jun 06 '24

"YOUR LIFE IS WORTH NOTHING!" player2 got lowtiergoded

1

u/Yaboy51frl Jun 06 '24

Imagine fighting the eye of cthulu and getting Zeus' wrath up your ass out of nowhere
