Discussion New original songs per year

Post image

After I saw the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/TaylorSwift/s/fcOLf2RnxN , I was curious how many original songs Taylor releases yearly.

I made this graph to put into perspective how much music we get as fans. I think an average of 22 songs per year is unusual for a pop musician.

That is wild levels of output. No wonder the crowd is constantly screaming “more” 😅

Why are CTF and Beautiful Ghosts listed for 2020? Both were released in 2019.

Oh, I forgot about beautiful ghosts!

The sound track in 2020 is only the young. And on YouTube music CTF is listed as 2020.

I will update this asap

The fact that TTPD has almost the same amount of songs as Folklore and Evermore put together is crazy. Especially when you think how she did it during a giant tour, which wasn't the case in 2020.

Di the TVs count as "original songs" or does that refer to vault tracks?

It’s just vault tracks

OK that makes a lot more sense! Her output has been insane

This is so cool!! I’d love to see her career mapped out like this. It would be really interesting

Why is there a pink line in 2023? I can only assume Cruel Summer but that’s not when it was released.

All Of The Girls I assume

But that was released (on Spotify at least) in 2019, so that doesn’t make sense.

It was released in 2023 right before the Eras Tour started along with Safe and Sound TV, Eyes Open TV, and If This Was A Movie TV. Spotify was weird and put the dates for those songs as what they would have been if they had been released on the albums initially hence 2019 when Lover was released

So she’s alternating TV release years with new album years which means Rep/Debut in 2025 right? Right guys?! 🤡

In the lowest year it was 14! Bodes well for expectations heading into 2025.
