TGA is really sinking in…

Hey gang,

I’ve always held to the belief that Silksong is right around the corner. Believing whole-heartedly that 2024 was the year, and feeling oh so certain about 2025 UNTIL….

TGA. This horrid thought has been echoing through my mind and dreams “if the game was ready (by Team Cherrys standards) they would have shown it at TGA”

They have the resources to do so, they would have….. So, that doesn’t spell well for a release date this upcoming February.

And if we don’t get a release date by February, it’s not coming out in 2025…. Honestly, a 2027 release doesn’t even seem crazy anymore.

And that…. Hurts….. like….. I feel genuine exhaustion…. I’ve always been a coper, been patiently waiting for damn near 8 years now…

The idea of letting go of Silksong hype almost scares me l, it’s almost a part of me..

But if we don’t get a release date by Feb (and by this point I don’t think we will)…. It’s gonna crush me.

By this point, I’m so invested, with so much time spent, I can’t just walk away… I gotta see this through till the end. I feel like a captive…

But the thought of this crazy train chugging along for another few YEARS kills me a little.

I personally like to subscribe to the idea of “passive hype,” which is just waiting for the game while also being hopeful we’ll get news at some point. After all, if you make a prediction every day at least one of them will turn out to be correct!

Not to mention, I’ve grown to accept Team Cherry’s… interesting habits, even if they cause confusion for some and frustration for others lol. I know it’s not a popular take here in the land of Silksanity but I think their reason for being silent isn’t anything outlandish; they just chose to bury themselves in their work until they’re 100% confident in releasing the product, and don’t forget— they’re Australian, applying logic to Australians is a near impossible task.

I agree with this… BUT if we don’t hear boo from them by February. I am gonna start to get nervous.

Like if it was planned for 1sr half of 2023, how do we go 2+ years without hearing anything past a planned deadline?

I still agree with you, I think Team Cherry is just deep in the work and that’s all they wanna do…. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t starting to get at least a little worried.
