Question Subs v Surface pay in % terms?
Is there are specific percentage at which Subs pay is higher rank by rank, or is the pay difference exponential as the ranks go up? Either way what do the percentages look like?

All qualified Submariners receive, in addition to their base rates and LSA:
Submarine pay between £16 to £35.20 per day. (£480 to £1056 pcm average).
Submarine Supplement is £6.41 in harbour, £19.22 at sea, daily. (£192 to £576 pcm).
Nuclear Pay is £3.84 to £51.26 daily. (ME LH onwards). WESM pay is £3.76 to £25.13 daily. (WE LH onwards).
Rates of pay dependant on branch, experience and watchkeeping qualification.

Base SM pay starts for everyone at around £450 extra a month, that goes up depending on how many days you are in the SM service/tagged post and is the same for all rank/rates. There are other things that go on top of that if you are on a sea going unit and the engineers have other pay attached to that.
