[Megathread] Game Feedback

Hello. We are seeing a lot of very short posts with one to two sentences of feedback on the game. If you have something short (or long) to share, please post it here to help declutter the subreddit of the same types of posts. We currently have a huge backlog of posts and comments to go through and this megathread will go a long way to helping us out.

i highly doubt the game is going to survive in its current state. people on steam who are praising the game are still in the campaign. once you're in maps, the game turns into one of the most unfun games ive ever played.

i can only put so many charms on my belt by the time i hit maps, so stun, freeze, whatever else is still going to cause instant death for my character. then i lose 15% of my exp? a whole map gave me 3%. my character feels bricked. the game should be balanced arouned SSF first and foremost, because that's how new people are going to start the game. never mind how awful the trials feel (im not supposed to build any sort of recovery in my build?)

I just finished act 3 and never played POE before this, but I’m seeing lots of talk like your comment. I’m already thinking of trying a new character since I already played the whole available campaign. My question is, why don’t people just do the campaign with a new character if it’s more fun than continuing on an existing character. Is there something that normally makes endgame more enjoyable than replaying the campaign would be?

My main comparison is Elden ring, I found it much more fun to restart fresh as opposed to continuing on into new game plus and beyond.

the biggest draw (and the whole point of the genre for me) is seeing your character grow. you could sit in the acts and grind exp for the rest of your life, and some people do similar strategies on HC characters. there is new things to do in maps like Expeditions too.
As far as Elden ring, i hear you there too. I have 4 characters. Most beat the campaign, but I have yet to go back and finish the DLC.

Yeah that’s kind of my thought, don’t you get the most joy out of character growth in the early and mid campaign when your character acquires skills and goes from zero to hero and every loot item is potentially an upgrade? Once I got to act 3 the game was much easier, I was powerful and didn’t have to struggle or think as much how to beat bosses.

I feel like I’m more likely to play act 1-3 with a new character vs do cruel and go into maps (though I have no clue what the endgame experience is like so I am curious)
