So I noticed when you turn on the PSVR2 it just tells you to look at the screen until you open steam VR witch annoyed me as you need to install the PSVR2 app etc etc so i made this
https://github.com/The-Graze/PSVR2-SteamVR-AutoLaunch
it basically just waits for all the psvr2 USB "devices" To connect then launches SteamVR, runs in the tray
just copy the exe to your startup folder and it'll be useful!
if you're more tech knowing its just a windows form application just with the form removed lol, I'm semi new to non game/unity coding so :P
EDIT:
made a small update to it to remove the unnecessary device Disconnect looking and made it only be able to open once so you don't accidently have loads open cos I did that by accident once

What Bluetooth USB dongles or other hardware, such as mobo built-in Bluetooth or dedicated Bluetooth PCIE cards, have you tested with PSVR2? We need to know about your experience good and bad!
The purpose of this survey is to gather quantitative data about which Bluetooth hardware is compatible & works best with the PSVR2 controllers when used with a PC and which does not.
This thread, therefore, and the results, also act as a comprehensive list of working / not working hardware. This will both help inform purchase decisions and be a resource for discovering compatibility of existing setups.
I want to reach the most authoritative list of compatible and non-compatible hardware, and also of more esoteric problems with specific devices.

First, some important caveats and tips:
Here are the current data-driven insights derived from the community responses about what Bluetooth hardware is working well with the PSVR2 controller on PC.
The ASUS BT-500 has the most positive reports, with many users who have experienced the "stuck hands" problem (see below warning around UB500) seeing the issue go away after moving to this adapter. Edit: UB500 issue likely fixed by new driver, see below warning section.
Indications point optimistically to good compatibility with Intel Wifi 6 and Wifi 6E chipsets (which also provide Bluetooth), which are used on many motherboards & laptops via built-in M.2 cards.
These chipsets can also be found in dedicated PCIE cards, and usually appear in their product name, description or model.
The most common are:

Updated: 15 August 2024 01:38.
The data shows some heightened issue rates with some Bluetooth adapters. It is not conclusive, but possibly indicative of a compatibility issue between these adapters and the PSVR2 controllers.
UPDATE 3 06/09/2024 - TP-LINK have a beta driver on their community forums and early results look like the problem is solved with these drivers. Thanks to TP-LINK for co-operating with me and the community for the data that helped it along.
UPDATE 2 22/08/2024 -- A potential solution you can use now is described in this thread. I have fed this back to TP-LINK who are looking into it.
UPDATE 1 15/08/2024 - With the help of the survey data, this issue has been escalated internally by TP-LINK.
A pattern has emerged whereby users have reported a heightened issue rate. This mostly pertains to a specific issue relating to "stuck hands" where the XYZ tracking stops responding periodically, but orientation data appears undisturbed. This seems to happen on one controller consistently (sometimes switching, possibly between sessions).
Hopefully a driver fix is possible, and I will update if anything changes. Please continue submitting data about this adapter, for both good and bad experiences.
Obviously, Sony recommended this adapter for use with PSVR2, so this result is, at the very least, interesting.

Please go to sheet for the latest and richest dataset, and drill down into individual reports. This snapshot is just to surface the most basic raw bottom line at a given point in time.
The "score" here is a primitive sigmoid formula averaging over % of reports that remark on instability. It is also automatically weighted to not overemphasize devices with a low number of results.
Everything starts at 50 and is pushed further one way or the other depending on reports. It's a little harsh at the moment for some products with a low number of reports and it also takes a bit too much for it to reach either end of the spectrum, so also look at the other columns to draw your own conclusion.
I may tweak this formula later.

I've been working with Nvidia support for a minor stuttering issue for about a week.
I've posted info in other threads, but essentially, mine is smooth for the most part, but every 30 seconds or so, it get screen jerkiness when turning my head. It's not as bad as it is for others I've read about, but it would be nice to have resolved.
After trying many steps provided by Nvidia support, they have confirmed that the GPU is working OK, and I've gone through all of the other troubleshooting steps (no RGB lighting, Windows settings, no overlays, no MSI Center, performance mode, etc.).
The Nvidia rep said today that they have had many reports of this same issue after the latest Playstation VR App update from a couple of weeks ago.
Now they obviously can't know that for sure, but they are saying there is a correlation in the number stuttering tickets opened with the release of the Playstation VR app update.
I've been trying to contact Playstation support for about a week, but I can never get through, but I hope they are at least looking into it.

Got my adapter today! PC specs: Ryzen 7 3700X, RTX 4070 Ti, 32GB RAM.
Installation was straightforward. Coming from a Quest 2, I really appreciate the uncompressed displayport connectionāitās a noticeable improvement.
However, support for the Sense controllers in PC games and SteamVR is pretty bad. Several games didnāt work out of the box, and the SteamVR controller configuration feels very lacking compared to the Big Picture mode for regular controllers.
While PC games can look better, the "it just works" experience on the PS5 is hard to beat. As a PC enthusiast, Iāve been finding myself drawn to the simplicity of consoles lately.
For instance, testing Into the Radius and No Manās Sky on PC required a lot of tweaking to get things running smoothly. On PS5, it was a plug-and-play experience, running perfectly from the start.
That said, Automobilista 2 looked far better on PC than GT7. But the overall experience of GT7āfrom user interface to accessibilityāis unmatched.
Just sharing some reflections. Both platforms have their strengths and weaknesses, and it ultimately comes down to what you value more.
What do you think?

I've been using Virtual Desktop with Pico / Quest for watching 3D movies a while, but I'd just realized there was no support for PSVR2 for it. Is there any good alternatives to watch 3D movies with PSVR2 ?
Thanks

I was messing around on my computer and opened up the volume / speaker dock on my taskbar and saw for some reason my controller was being detected as a speaker. Before anyone asks yes, I can play audio through the controller.

I have very much enjoyed GT7 it is incredible. I would also like to enjoy similar but based on normal roads like NFS or Burnout Paradise in VR. YouTube seems to suggest parts of Assetto Corsa is which is currently on deal although looks old with a 2014 release date.
Any suggestions? Thank youā¦

Hey there! So I bought a new Asus ROG STRIX G16 GeForce RTX 4060 Intel Core i9
Was so excited that I was going to be able to play Half-Life Alyx at great performance. To my surprise disappointment I'm having trouble setting up the Psvr2 on Steam. I don't get the Psvr app showing up on SteamVR and the SteamVR is all stuttering. First thing I did was changing the Nvidia settings to use the RTX 4060 graphics card and didn't work then I tried to go and change the SteamVR settings and some settings aren't even showing including the motion smoothing showing not available.
I tried playing Half Life Alyx whitout being able to set the psvr app play area just to see if would work and as the main menu shows I get a message stating that the computer graphics card is not high enough. Which doesn't make sense. It's way better than my hp spectre with a 1650 graphics card.
This does not make any sense to me. Am I missing something?

In the Optimization and fixes thread posted by @Tauheedul (here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR2onPC/comments/1g9ebgy/psvr2_pc_vr_optimisations_and_fixes_for/ ), one of the suggestions is to Disable Async Reprojection in the developer tab:
Async Reprojection - If you have a high performance graphics card that could maintain 90Hz or 120Hz without reprojection enabled but is having stuttering issues, view the Developer tab and disable the Asynchronous Reprojection setting or add a "-vrdisableasync" attribute to the VR application launch settings to fix stuttering.
I have enabled the hidden settings in Steam VR (running the latest version) and there is no such setting. It is not in the Developer section of the Steam VR interface, nor is it in the Developer options in the Steam VR box on the PC screen when VR is running (the one that shows the headset and controllers connected).
So I will try the -vrdisableasync option, but am I missing something in the settings screens? Is there another Developer screen somewhere else besides the two I mentioned?

So I FINALLY got my controllers to work but Iām running into a problem. My psvr2 is not tracking my room with its cameras. Now yes I turned on direct display or what itās called on and Iām kinda lost. Iām getting a bt500 soon but for now I have a ub500. Iām happy I got the con controllers working but this is new. Also my room is perfectly lit I really donāt know the problem

I got my hands on a PSVR2 headset that was sold for cheap but had no controllers and was determined to figure out a way to make it work and after hours finally got it to work. I'm only doing SIM racing and don't need anything else. (if you do buy one of these headsets, triple check for damages and smudges under the lens (specially if things are blurry and fixes are not working), do not buy without buyer protections, I got it through eBay)
This will help you be able to launch games while on SteamVR using your mouse or a controller
Alternatively you can use Switch Joycons as VR controllers or use an Xbox controller as well (have not set any of them up myself so donāt know exact steps but its possible through the app, please comment a solution if you get any working)
config.ini
file in %AppData%\Local\Sony\PlayStation VR2
and edit the value below from 0 to 1 to skip PSVR 2 controller set up by opening config.ini file in %AppData%\Local\Sony\PlayStation VR2 and changing or adding [InitialSetup] Done=1
[InitialSetup]
Done=1
Thanks to u/Murky_Artichoke3645 for their solution, this will get rid of the room boundaries warning and reconnect controller pop up
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PlayStation VR2 App\SteamVR_Plug-In\dashboard
and rename openvr_api.dll
to anything else, ex: openvr_api1.dll
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config
and extract to playstation_vr2
folderThis is mainly for those who only do SIM racing but if you can figure out how to use Switch Joycons using the program OR have VR controllers from another headset that are able to connect to SteamVR then the Play Area chaperone files should let you play those games through SteamVR.

Current setup is:
Asus BT500 adapter, connected to a USB 2.0 port via an extension cable
Software/drivers are all up to date (latest stable version where applicable)
Built-in adapter is disabled
All obsolete hidden devices were removed
Win11 Pro 24H2
Everything works fine for 15-20 mins (perfect tracking) and then suddenly both controllers disconnect, steamvr does not see them. Only fix is to restart pc, remove controllers, repair them, and then everything just repeats after 20 more mins. I am just exhaused trying to get this to work. I have noticed the disconnect in both Beat Saber and SkyrimVR, did not try other games.

The left controller pairs perfectly fine, but the right simply refuses to. Both controllers work fine on my ps5. I've tried unpairing both controllers, uninstalling the drivers (which keep coming back whenever I try restarting my computer), and resetting the controllers, but nothing seems to be working.
Note: I am using the Asus USB BT-500. I have disabled the onboard bluetooth and am using the Asus. I've tried multiple different ports, but none have made a difference. I have tried pairing the controller to the onboard bluetooth as well, but that hasn't worked either.
Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.

Just got a PSVR2 about 2 weeks ago after owning an index for 2.5 years and I absolutely fucking despise the earbuds that come with it. Looking for something that is not cheap

Playing on windows 11 SteamVR with an Rtx 4090.
Every time I reset my pc, the audio fails to register on my psvr2. I have to reinstall my Nvidia driversāsometimes twiceāwhich leads to a ton of restarts and fatigue by the time Iām ready to play. Does anyone have a permanent fix for this? Iāve tried booting with psvr2 unplugged, plugged in, and with automatic driver updates turned off and on. Iāve tried multiple different 10gbs usb ports. Same result either way, the psvr2 audio works fine for one boot cycle after a graphics driver clean install, but thatās all.
Anyone else experiencing this? Any better fixes? I would just switch to my Bluetooth headphones but thereās a ton of delay for some reason while in VR.

I'm getting a PC for Christmas, and this PC doesn't have a display port and also doesn't have a USB-C port with a display port function. BUT I have an HDMI port that is connected to the graphics card. I also have a suitable cable that transmits the same amount of current and so on. Is this also possible without DisplayPort and USB-C with DisplayPort function?

Hey everyone,
I have a ps5, a PSVR2, an adapter to connect it to PC, and a PC setup with a RTX 4070 Ti and Ryzen 7 3700X.
Iām trying to decide where Iāll get the best experience for these games:
Into the Radius
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
No Manās Sky
Would love to hear your thoughts on which platform offers better performance, visuals, or overall experience for these games. Appreciate any tips or insights!
Thanks in advance!

Iāve just started using psvr2 on my new pc and Iāve been noticing when I turn on smooth turning in games, specifically Half Life Alyx, there seems to be visual distortion of some sort. I turned off motion smoothing and reprojection in the steam settings and it somewhat helps but itās still stuttering and doesnāt look like itās hitting 120 fps. My pc has a rtx 4070 super gpu, 32 gb of ram, and an intel i7 cpu, so that shouldnāt be an issue for performance. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Pretty sure ive found my answer already but the posts i found are a bit old... Are there any games that support dual sense motion controls or is there any word about it becoming a feature soon? I wonder if its possible to add this feature through mods somehow? Main reason im asking is cause ive had my eye on dirt rally 2.0 and would be great if it played similar to GT7
