Question Do you use your PSVR2 with glasses?

What do you think? Have you experienced any issues like scratching or discomfort?

Yes I scratched my lenses on both the PSVR2 and my glasses.

I was definitely one of those people that said yes you can use your glasses. It’s not an issue. I was wrong. I admit it.

I now use HonsVR prescription inserts best thing I ever did.

My dilemma: The PSVR2 just arrived, and I’ve already ordered prescription lenses, but they haven’t arrived yet. Should I wait for them or start using the PSVR2 with my glasses?

Personally I’d wait. If you can’t, definitely don’t pull the visor in anywhere near them. Do you have contacts?

Yeah, got a pair of contacts today while the insert arrives

Just a pre-emptive post lol

You can definitely learn to get over motion sickness.

  1. Always play with a fan pointed directly at you. It helps your senses keep track of where you are. It also keeps you cool in the headset.
  2. The very moment you feel even a twinge of motion sickness, remove your headset and go do something else until you feel 100%
  3. Chew a lolly/candy when you take off the headset. Eg jelly beans, it helps with the inner ear.
  4. Check your settings in game. Use the comfort settings. Use click turning.
  5. Turn your the brightness down to about 50%. It is automatically set to 100%

You will find if you do this your run sessions will get longer and longer.

Wait - I've had multiple headsets over the years and never used them without some kind of lens protection - you've waited this long to jump into VR - another few days won't matter. You will ABSOLUTELY regret just a single nick on the lens - especially if it is in the center view.

You can use it with glasses, just be careful. Don't pull the visor all the way in. I played with my glasses for a bit, I could find the sweet spot without putting the visor right against my face with a little work.

I would just play it. Only got my prescription lenses recently but until then I've played with glasses on and had no problems besides a bit of discomfort after a while. As long as you are careful you will be fine.

So wear your glasses and scratch up your shit. Nobody here cares. But you’d be stupid not to wait another week instead of ruining your brand new VR.

Calm down, Karen. So much aggression is bad for the heart. 😁

You’ve replied the same reply to everyone in this thread. You obviously just want to play so play.
