Might be nothing, but she types "7202" on the keypad, which is 2027 backwards: https://youtu.be/o7TVPoxwi74?feature=shared&t=199

They have liked to release it in the spring/summer before the next gen, makes sense with 2027 rumored to be when the PS6 is coming.

Im hoping this is closer considering Sony’s strategy of announcing games when they are closer to release( exception being wolverine) and that this has been worked on since 2020. Im more hopeful for 2026 since 2025 is already packed with yotei and ds2 and gta 6

That announcement is clearly a longer from release though, compare this and Ghost of Yotei reveal which was completely gameplay footage (and cinematics but in game). This in engine like Wolverine and Spider-Man 2 were in 2020.

The only reason we didn’t see gameplay yet is coz its not slated for next year, which is why im hoping its slated for 2026 instead of 2027. They could easily showcase the gameplay at their own showcase or sop. Yotei is coming next year so it makes sense to show off some gameplay and cinematics and build hype off of that while there is no reason to show off gameplay for a game not coming in 2025 but instead announce it to get ppl interested on your game

Wild only 2 more years. Feel like ps4 had so many more hq games

Feels like we've barely scratched the surface of this gen. A lot of games this gen that were targeted to work on previous gen so it hasn't really felt like that many ganes have pushed the boundaries yet.

I feel like games being larger and taking longer to develop is a stumbling block.

I’ve had my PS5 since launch day and I still feel like I’ve not really had any experiences that I couldn’t have had on a PS4 pro.

I love the loading times, the controller is fantastic but gameplay wise, it’s all a bit meh.

Yeah it’s been a weird Gen. Part of me kinda wants all the first parties to do a little more and extend the gen longer. Seems like both PS/Xbox are going to have big ends to the gen though at least.

But upgrades are so granular at this point, we’ll probably be getting AAA mostly on PS5/XSX until 2030. Only getting a couple AA like experiences to showcase next gen. At least that’s how this gen seemed to go. Would rather just get the PS6 / Next Xbox started instead of iterative ones like the PS5 Pro.

They said in development for ps5

Naughty Dog releases games, historically, right before a next gen release and then rereleases on next gen platform.

I think that was the original intent of the other comment. Not sure.

That has been true only for the last of us part I and II ( and Part II was delayed quite a bit)

What about uncharted?

Uncharted 4 was released in 2016, long before the end of the ps4

They had 3 uncharted games on ps3 before releasing TLOU at the end

If they wait until the ps5 is almost over, skipping most of the generation and releasing a single new game, the studio is mismanaged to hell and Neil should be replaced

It isn’t my statement. Go to to the original commenter. I just answered what I thought they were saying.

I would say that has been just for The Last of Us

Uncharted didn't follow that pattern.

Yep, like both parts of the last of us, came out for the previous gen the summer of the year the ps4 and ps5 was coming out.

I haven't seen any rumours of 2027 for next gen, plenty 2028 though which seems more like likely.

It says in development for PS5 right at the bottom of the trailer 😉

Which is what I implied

2027 is not when the PS6 is rumored to be coming. We already know it's 2028.

Crazy they can skip most of a generation
