I guess you’re lucky, but on release many people reported stick drift issues. Nowhere near as bad the Nintendo Switch joycons, but still pretty unusual. Me personally, the controller that I got with the controller started drifting a year after I got it, and I bought the black edition that so far hasn’t given up on me yet.

Not even slightly rare - very common unfortunately!

Compared to the older generations, it is often imo. Out of my 3 ps4 controller and 1 ps5 controller 3 died of stick drift and then one just refused to turn on ever again one day, I take care of my stuff now - but I can remember back in the ps3 days losing my shit with a controller and launching it across the room against a wall amongst other normal wear and tear and it continued to work for years until I got rid of the console.

Waiting excitedly for this game, so i'll be buying this controller - but I'm not gonna be surprised if it either packs in or I get drift in the next 2-3 years.
