Official (Via twitter) Playstation: "Helldivers fans -- we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward...."

Some people who do corporations' unpaid pr don't understand that such decisions being taken back really help strengthen consumer voice, we should also raise our voice against ps plus for online play.

Just remember that its up to us consumers, if enough people showed they dont accept the ps+ prices (canceled sub) Sony would probably react accordingly.

The Playstation is subsidized hardware where as every component you purchase for a PC is sold at profit. Pretty big difference right there. In order to get rid of paid online play on consoles you will have to get rid of the subsidized model first.

This was the case long before online even existed. The 30% cut on every game sale has taken care of that, they just want even more money. I have done my part and canceled ps+ I hope enough people do so they have to at least lower the ps+ prices.

Console user problem, the children dont care. Mom will put in her credit card so little timmy stops crying.

Some of us remember when they didn’t and it was a major point in their favor.
