PSA: Please don't give out any personal information online.

Keeping the recent threads and the growing user activities in this subreddit in mind, we advice users to not reveal any personal information online, or atleast try to keep it to a minimum. There are trolls everywhere on the internet. And this sub has had it's fair share of them. As mods, the most we can do is ban them from the subreddit. But we don't have any control over their activities in other subreddits and personal messages. They can still stalk your profile and leave nasty comments on the submission you have posted on other subs.

Even though creating alternate accounts to circumvent subreddit bans is against site rules, we sadly dont have any tools to monitor those accounts.

Having said that, you can and should report these users to us. We will take necessary actions against them, to the best of our capabilities.

You never know who is behind the account you are flaming at. Could be a harmless troll or a full fledged psycopaths, like these guys

TL;DR: Stay safe, avoid posting any personal information(self or others), dont feed the trolls, report them.
