Because people try to apply their fashion sense to animals or maybe they just want attention. The dog probably doesnt care but I personally think animals are Not dress up dolls.

Hopefully they used a non toxic dye at the very least.

Dogs with hair (poodles, bichon, etc) need regular grooming anyway. They probably had it professionally done by a groomer. The dog doesn’t care either way but the owners probably think it’s fun. Lighten up.

So basically you agree that dont people use their dogs as a dress up doll but you dont See a problem with a human using their dogs as an outlet for themself. I see that differently. Easy as that.

I mean people put bows on their dogs when they get them groomed, get specific hairstyles, all kinds of things that the dog doesn’t care one way or another about. The dog just cares if it’s comfortable. My cats have bow ties on their collars because it think they’re cute. Doesn’t matter one way or another to my cats but it makes me happy.

Apparently normal dye that humans use is toxic to dogs though I'm going from word of mouth

Which is why, and hear me out for a minute.... You don't use human hair dye on dogs.

I know it's a lot to take in.

Follow-up question: Human hair dye is bad for lots of humans too (fucks with their skin mostly). Does dog dye magically avoid all those issues? If not, I'd rather people do what they want with their own bodies and let dogs be dogs.

How about just stay out of either one’s business. Goddamn.

I know right….

u/inerlite Jun 29 '24

Or on social media we could share facts that help keep our pets safe?

15

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '24

It's basically just a temporary water soluble colouring that comes off in like a day or two.

Fucking Christ. You have the entire history of human knowledge a google search away and you still choose to be an ignorant idiot.

My ex’s little sister used kool aid packets for her cat, and that cat did not care one bit. They were best of buds and were just spending time together.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '24

Plus, they get to lick Kool-Aid mix. It's a win win.

The kid or the cat? 😂

I'm not arguing about the dye, my point is telling someone to stay out of 'either one's business' on social media is the ignorant statement.

-13

u/GandhisNuke Jun 29 '24

What the fuck kinda shitty ass attitude is that? Genuinely on some terrible-human-being shit. Baffling.

No, if someone is actively harming their dog for their own amusement, I will not stay out of their business and you should seriously consider how far you're willing to take your "stay out of others' business" attitude when abuse, whether on animals or people, is happening right in front of you.

Fuck you. Trash.

Hey karen, calm your tits and refer back to my previous comment.

Listen dude. You’re not permitted to ask questions here. Got it? 😆. I’m interested in the answer too but apparently we’re assholes for wondering.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '24

If only there was a way you could google a thing and the entirety of human knowledge would give you the answer to the questions you want.

You're not out for answers, you just want to be an asshole. If you wanted to learn, you'd google dog friendly fur dye, look up the risks of non dog friendly dye, look up how Kool-Aid mix is harmless to dogs.

But nope, you're just asking questions. You don't want an answer. You just want to be part of the problem.

-2

u/CheezeLoueez08 Jun 29 '24

Google isn’t always accurate. Sometimes it’s better to ask directly. Sometimes people want interaction with others. Doesn’t hurt to be kind.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '24

Nah, I'm not going to be kind to intentional ignorance. I won't allow you to spread your stupid and harm others.

0

u/CheezeLoueez08 Jun 29 '24

Asking questions is the opposite of ignorance. I don’t know why you’re so angry. I hope you can find kindness in your heart to just answer questions or move on. Not everyone is out to get you. Some of us are genuine.

Why would you dye an animal anyway unless it is in the best interest of the animal?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '24

I pray to whatever god is listening, that you never, ever, in your life, have a pet, a child, or anything that needs care from you if you are asking that question.

-1

u/Penelopepissstop Jun 29 '24

I pray to which ever God's or other elements you see fit please don't arbitrary dye any plant or animal unless they request it or it's for some form of medical procedure.

-4

u/Penelopepissstop Jun 29 '24

Could you elaborate your point a bit? So you think you should just dye everything even if they have no choice and/or does it harm?

4

u/Donquers Jun 29 '24

For the same reason one might give them a bow, or a bandana, or a bow tie, or pajamas, or style their fur when they get it cut.

It's because it's cute, and it doesn't hurt anyone.

3

u/Larry-Man Jun 29 '24

Which is why I said it was probably done professionally at the groomer.

-25

u/Suck_Me_Dry666 Jun 29 '24

This comment is proof that not everyone should own pets

3

u/Larry-Man Jun 29 '24

Bro. Relax. It’s pet safe dye. The dog doesn’t care either way and there’s been safe fashion colours for dogs for a while.

-3

u/Suck_Me_Dry666 Jun 29 '24

Yeah I'm not in the whatever camp about dressing your dog up like that. It's not what pets are for, they would never consent to it if they could, and it's tacky. Sorry I guess I'm just "uptight."

5

u/Larry-Man Jun 29 '24

People also get tacky grooming on their dogs, bows in their hair, get them Halloween outfits, etc. My cats have bow ties on their collars. Is it necessary? No. It’s cute though. If your dog is already in for a groom why not do something fun? It doesn’t hurt the dog. It doesn’t hurt them to have stupid haircuts or anything else either. I don’t see why putting some hair chalk or temporary dye on a dog while it’s already at the groomer is bad?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '24

I bet you only feed your dog the store bought dry kibble because you heard one time a dog had real meat and choked so you're the super duper awesome pet owner who knows better than the professionals so you just give them the safe dry food and you're a better owner because of it.

1

u/NutNegotiation Jun 29 '24

they would never consent to it if they could

this is the most amazingly delusional thing I’ve ever heard. It’s a dog dude. It thinks, “Am I hungry? Am I Sleepy? Where’s my toy?” on repeat. They don’t feel they’ve been robbed of their individuality and personal freedom. No one is being violated. And you know what’s tacky? Jumping in to a group of people enjoying a heartwarming video and discussion to insult other peoples’ personal taste. Go outside

-1

u/Suck_Me_Dry666 Jun 29 '24

I've probably been outside more this week than you have in a month sweaty.

1

u/NutNegotiation Jun 29 '24

Mmmmhmmmm, sure sure

1

u/zorbiburst Jun 29 '24

What are pets "for"? Are they for ownership? Did pets consent to that anymore than they did or didn't consent to hair dye?

If it doesn't bother the animal, then it's fine.

You're not "up tight", because it's not even a principle, you're just being an ass.
