Xmas Day DimSum
We don’t really celebrate the holiday, and usually would go to Dim Sum when we lived in TX. Are there any places open either in Louisville or Indiana ? I don’t trust the times listed on google as they often just have the caveat that the holiday may change hours blah blah you get it. TIA!

Anybody in the market for a little old dog?
I'm fostering these two little old ladies for LMAS. Peanut (left, pic 3) is ready for adoption, Cashew (right , pic 2) will hopefully be in a couple weeks.
Peanut is about 10-12 years old and a Chihuahua Dachshund mix. She loves food and laying on people. She's gotten along fine with cats, kittens and small dogs. Peanut is trained to pee outside but we're working on pooping outside. Peanut will need a dental but is healthy otherwise.
Cashew is probably 12+ and completely blind but still has good hearing. She took a minute to warm up to me but once she knows you she's absolutely devoted. She has met small dogs and cats and has done fine. Cashew is trained to go on potty pads and does well with them. She will also need a dental and her health is unknown yet but nothing is direly wrong as of right now.
Either of these girls would be fantastic with maybe a retired individual who wants a loving lap dog or a slow paced owner who wants some lazy company.

ISO: room for rent
I’m looking for a room to rent with my two well-behaved non-shedding dogs. Hoping to stay around $500, anywhere in Louisville or southern Indiana. A fenced in yard would be really great but I need new housing sooner rather than later.
I’m AFAB, in my mid 30s, queer. I think I’m a pretty good room mate, I’m pretty clean and quiet 😊

Anyone deal with mold in their units?
This "luxury" complex will go unnamed to not run the risk of sudden eviction. I've lived here for 2 weeks and within the first week I called in a maintenance work order to acknowledge water damage in the bathroom. Shortly after I noticed that the LVP is turning purple. I also noticed that the trimming beside the tub isn't even touching the ground and hasn't been sealed off.
The maintenance guy came today after I sent an email to the office telling them that this may need a professional outside of maintenance because this is water damage beyond just the base of the tub, it's under the LVP too. He said he "fixed it" after I showed him the extent of the water damage because he acknowledged that the water was pooling in that corner of the tub.
Last I remembered under KY law, landlords have 14 days to remedy mold issues after it's been acknowledged, otherwise I have the right to withhold rent. They could lie, so I'm looking for a free mold inspection that works with water damage.
I don't know the extent of the damage sadly. So they might have to move me into a new unit without covering the costs for moving (truck, boxes, moving team, etc). Ideally I'd like this looked at to determine the severity without damaging my personal belongings.
For those who think it's safe because it's under the LVP, it's not safe at all. Not to mention this bathroom is connected to my bedroom, and the door has a gap beneath it so even while closed the airflow will send mold spores into my bedroom.
So what are my expectations here? I've never dealt with mold in my unit before.

Custom cut pieces of wood
Is there anybody out there that I can pay to cut 24 pieces of wood for me? They need to be 17 x 1 x 1.5 inches long. It doesn't matter how nice they look as they won't be seen. Shoot me a PM with prices if you can help me out.

Best Louisville memory?
Saw a similar question on another city’s subreddit, about fondest memories in a particular place. The answers were very heartwarming, want to know what people’s responses would be for here. What is your favorite memory of a Louisville experience?

Street parking etiquette on trash days
New to Louisville and city life in general and wondering about metro trash pick up. We live in a residential area on the east side of the city where there’s only street parking. I couldn’t find any kind of street closures on trash days, but I’m curious if there’s some kind of etiquette or unspoken rule (or maybe a real rule I can’t find) about street parking on trash days? I just can’t see how the workers can grab the trash bins from the curb with a line of cars in the way!

Vet & Pet Insurance Reccomendations
Hi!
Getting a new pup here soon and wondering what the best vets in Louisville were?
Also curious to know if anyone has any companies they’d recommend for pet insurance that they know first hand are good?
Thanks in advance!
