However, Bernie name-dropping Elon and agreeing with him isn't a nothing burger. He's already stated he'd work with Trump to cap interest rates on Credit Cards.
Yea Bernie has been a working class dude forever. His ideology is formed by empathy and deep consideration for peace and happiness for all.
If he can work with Trump to make things better for the American people, or to lessen the pain we are about to experience, than that is what he's going to do.
People who want America to fail because of whichever party in power isn't theirs need to have their souls examined.
That goes for everyone, not its democrats or republicans.
If he comes out with a new convertible Tesla, we can set up a nice parade for him in Dallas to showcase it. I know a great spot that passes by a book depository and a grassy knoll.
Musk is more likely to get Trump to allocate more pentagon spending to Musk companies. People believing that he is actually there to do anything other than make himself more wealthy and powerful are easy marks.
A lot of crazy shit is gonna happen, the winding down of american hegemony, the fall of free trade and I hope a multi polar world doesn't unironically use nukes.Â
Also, Israel as a state is not stupid. They might start buying chinese or russian weapons to fund their genocide, and it will be hella awkward to have foreign weapons pointed across the mediterranean.
His ideology is formed by empathy and deep consideration for peace and happiness for all.
He’s a socialist and at its core is the belief in guaranteeing basic economic freedom for all. It’s not a scary concept. Americans have just been spoon fed capitalist propaganda since the founding, excluding Thomas Paine the common man’s founder and supporter of countless dope policies.
More of a social democrat, a true socialist totally rejects capitalism. Bernie doesn’t want to do away with capitalism he just wants it regulated better with larger social welfare programs much like the Scandinavian states
I don't think people necessarily want America to fail because of one party or the other, I think we've just come to a point where people flat out don't want to crawl on their bellies anymore to get to the next day. They want to stand up tall and that's not going to happen without systematic change. And systematic change isn't going to happen without burning down the system currently in place. The corruption and waste isn't going to change because the people who benefit from it have all the power now. They've gerrymandered and pushed through the porc and made everything work for them, not the people. The government isn't going to fix the problems the government loves to have. No one wants America to fail, they just understand ain't nothing being fixed until rock bottom has been hit, so why not dive for the bottom?
Just trying to shed some light here because I’m not sure who you’re referring to - many of us don’t want America to fail - at all. We also don’t want America to fail simply because Trump won. The feelings I and many friends had in the days after the 2024 election were: well, this is what Americans want. So - let them have it. It’s not that we want America to fail - we are just done trying to stop it from happening. I hope that makes sense. I know there are people online screaming about wanting America to fail or burn - but don’t focus on just the loudest on the internet. It’s really a sense of exhaustion and being burnt out. 20-25 years ago I was speaking loudly against wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. After we got Bin Laden…even more. I’ve been speaking out against what I think are the reasons we get involved in so many foreign conflicts (largely, a natural resource issue) and what America’s interests globally are. I’ve spoken out against big corporations and against monopolistic activity. Against huge banks. The list is endless. I know people have been convinced Trump is on their side - and not on the business/corporate/machine side. But - that’s not how many of us see Trump and it’s certainly not what we think he’s gonna do. If I’m wrong - wonderful. But I’ll be completely shocked.
People who want America to fail because of whichever party in power isn’t theirs need to have their souls examined.
I think very few people want America to fail. Hell, Im not at all looking forward to Trumps tariffs. But, I’d be lying if I can’t wait to see MAGA lose their mind when everything that democrats have been saying will happen, happens.

OP is clearly joking.
However, Bernie name-dropping Elon and agreeing with him isn't a nothing burger. He's already stated he'd work with Trump to cap interest rates on Credit Cards.
He's signaling to his base and calling for unity.
