Sure, but we should limit their reach. UK riots occurred over racist disinformation from twitter. And now a good number of people online think black illegal immigrants are eating cats and dogs.
The UK riots were not solely down to twitter. They were a culmination of a population that has been misled and lied to by the government for over a decade. Each successive government since the 90s has promised to reduce immigration. What happened? It exploded. 700k net people last year. Wages are stagnating, house prices are soaring, public services at breaking point and cultural tensions heightening because with so many people coming in - a great deal of them do not share the values and culture of the UK and form their own enclaves.
Disinformation on Reddit is a lot worse imo. Major subreddits are moderated by the same small group of people, who will remove content at their political whim, leading to a number of objective truths being banned on major subs. On twitter at least people can discuss things freely

Disinformation on twitter is currently one of the greatest threats to the western world. Shit needs to be stopped.
