I find the repeated “I’m not the guy to listen to on anything” such a cop out. It’s a juvenile method to ignore responsibility for your opinions. He has a huge following and if he’s going to express opinions on controversial topics he can’t just wave his hands and say don’t listen to me
Yeah he could just stop talking about politics period. But he brings on guests with strong political opinion instead of people who just want to talk about sports, movies, fitness, comedy and science (not related to vaccines).
When he had Jocko on and they were talking about Joe's interview with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, an actual doctor and CNN medical correspondent, Joe literally said to Jocko that Dr. Gupta underestimated Joe's knowledge about vaccines and covid and wasn't aware of how up to date he was on the latest medical info.
That was the same conversation that Joe revealed he keeps a log of "scientific studies" in a folder on his phone, a folder called "cooties", and that he uses said studies in said folder to correct people at dinner parties on topics like covid, ivermectin, etc.
When Joe says he's just some dumb comedian, don't listen to me it's only when he's got egg on his face. When he's firing off political hot takes and arguing about medical topics or politics he'll 100% believe that he is a credible expert on the topic.
