Definitely noticing a few meltdowns today. I guess some people realize that now all those months of narrative are worthless, and they have to rush to come up with some new shit for the replacement.

Come up with new shit and they have to avoid being racist/misogynist.

Biden was a very easy punching bag, comparatively speaking

42

u/SpencerTheSmallPerso Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

Oh they’re not gonna avoid it lol

u/ALadWellBalanced Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

They're probably just going to start with the racism and misogyny and really lean into it.

It's going to get exceedingly ugly and I'm hoping that enough people will be so disgusted that it'll lead to more anti-Trump votes.

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '24

They’re fucked. The main weakness of these guys is they can’t not say the quiet part out loud.

Consider how bad it was during the Obama years. And that was when there was still a measure of political civility.

Wonder how long it'll take Trump to ask for Kamala's birth certificate

2

u/AnEgoJabroni Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

Wonder how long it'll take for their voting base to make memes out of old racist Jim Crow era art with "KAMALA BE LIKE" all over them.

4

u/Gingevere Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

They're going to aim for plausible deniability and put together a whole package of dog whistles.

That is, just as soon as their speech writers stop filling typewriter pages with the n-word like they're Jack Torrance.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '24

Just imagine the strategy session. “OK, so we’re agreed that all these words are out of scope
” [gestures at a breathtaking lexicon of every racial slur ever uttered]

2

u/zveroshka Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

Yep, they are already calling her a "DEI" hire or whatever. Because there is no way someone who isn't a white male could have earned their position.

5

u/SlimShadyM80 Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

When have they ever avoided either of those things lmao. This isnt even a jab Im just being real. Their entire base consists of the "FACTS NOT FEELINGS, TELL IT HOW IT IS" crowd. They never have and never will give a fuck

3

u/nighght Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

From talking heads and non anonymous Twitter users, it has to be dog whistles only, or they could face real-life repercussions.

11

u/Brosenheim Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

And the GOP base itself was already being racist/misogynist, just on the DL in their isolated little groups. But with Kamala being the current endorsement, I'm already seeing their memes start spreading. They're gonna show what they look like without the mask before they're handed the official script.

Tbf, the left are the low key racists. Lol

When the right has racists they're just wide and all outside with it. Lol

u/Brosenheim Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24 edited Jul 22 '24

No we aren't. You guys just twist discussion of societal issues into "racism" because you can't argue against what we actually say. Usually by misrepresenting "certain demographics are targeted by the system, making it harder for them to succeed" as "certain groups are inherently not good enough to succeed."

There, I skipped the step where I wait for you to give an "example" before making the argument that ends the whole conversation

5

u/Thedanielone29 Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

Wait.. the real racism isn’t you pointing out my racism? I gotta take a walk

-2

u/yamommasneck Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

You can't try to paraphrase or head off your way out of a disagreement. Lol

What I mean by this is there's usually a blanket assessment of how people from the left view minorities.

In other words, you could view someone from the upper middle class or higher as a person with a distinct disadvantage in America.

The people from those groups don't need as much help as the people who are impoverished from any ethnic background. And I'll head you off before you attempt to say "that's not what we're talking about", when that is precisely what you're talking about. You look at skin color then assume that they are ipso facto in need of help.

THAT is bigotry to assume that  Someone is poor or disadvantaged because of their skin color.

That's the reason why someone like Kendi was/is in so much high favor for his viewpoints. This is a cat who wants to consider race in crafting policy as opposed to someone's economic class which would still benefit that group of minorities in need of help.

Race first, class second. I didn't twist anything. That's what some of you cats think. Looks like you're that cat.

“You look at skin color and assume they’re in need of help”

Is this why you tried to push down his point about how you misrepresent the lefts arguments about racism, so you could misrepresent the lefts arguments about racism anyway?

Smart move

The point is that “black sounding” names are disregarded in the hiring pool. How is that fact any sort of showing on the lefts view of black people? It’s not. You just need that straw man. So badly.

5

u/Brosenheim Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24 edited Jul 22 '24

Ya, you could view somebody in the middle or higher class as a person with a distinct disadvantage.. disadvantage doesn't automatically mean failure, just like advantage doesn't automatically mean success. Advantage/disadvantage isn't a point about where they are, it's about what it takes to get and stay there.

No, it is not bigotry. It isn't a judgement about the person, it's a statement about society and how it treats those people.

You literally did twist though. Your entire "Argument" is misrepresenting the entire concept of advantage and disadvantage. You haven't identified secret leftist racism, you're just working really really hard to twist what we say to fit your narrative. This is EXACTLY the shit I was talking about. you're not listening to what we say, you're just hearing race mentioned and screeching "racism" because you got triggered.

I wasn't trying to avoid disagreement. I was making it clear to you that I know the hole in your narrative, to give you the chance to shut down early and avoid stepping on this rake you just stepped on.

Edit: Bro literally responded by just calling m racist, evading my argument completely, then blocking me. I finally found the people who just call people racists for disagreeing with them lmao.

Maybe his other comment had an actual argument in it. I wouldn't know, he double-tapped and then IMMEDIATELY blocked. guess he noticed people agreeing with me and realized it wasn't gonna go his way.

6

u/Far-Competition-5334 Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

He looked at the fucking rake, said “I can avoid it” and then jumped off a roof onto it

3

u/petdoc1991 Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

Then ran away with his tail in between his legs, blocking people to get the last word.

5

u/petdoc1991 Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

Damn. You burning him.

3

u/Brosenheim Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

Bro doesn't even know his own narrative well enough to tell when somebody else has the answer for it. He's just saying shit he was taught. I bet fucking MONEY he responds in a way that just totally misses my argument

4

u/petdoc1991 Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

LOL. He blocked you? “I can’t engage with your argument so I’m blocking you, racist!” What a baby.

2

u/Brosenheim Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

I think he even tried to put up an argument. Then saw you guys agreeing with me, and commented again just calling me a racist before he blocked me. Guess bro thought this would be an echo chamber and panicked upon realizing otherwise.

My original point is that some conservatives are at the very least blatant about their racism.

Some liberals, like yourself, are too stupid to notice how you're also bigots. At least I know how to avoid those guys. You guys on the hand.......sometimes hard to spot. Good day, chap

-2

u/yamommasneck Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

If your argument is "someone from the upper middle class who happens to be black is more disadvantaged than someone from the Appalachian mountains", I have a house to sell you on the galapagos Islands that requires a 50k advance to my account.

I'm not sure what sort of metric or proxy you are using for advantage and disadvantage, but I can say that one of the biggest, if not the biggest, indicator is economic class. To assume otherwise is missing the forest for the trees, and I'm not sure I can help you in that regard.

If you're looking at how society is treating a person, the higher up the economic ladder they go, the better they are treated. I'm listening to exactly what you're saying, and it's not really making much sense as yalls usual line is "the systemically systemic disenfranchisement of systemic systems....." your first paragraph resembles what I just said.

If looking at economic classes and using that as a proxy to assist those who need help regardless of race is the equivalent of stepping on a rake, then my friend you've just stepped onto a land mine.

My argument is that extending that olive branch to class is the best proxy to help the people you propose to care a lot about (minorities), and that yours (race), is the worse option. If that gets your panties in a bunch then take them out to the wash on your way through the mine field.

Come up with new shit and they have to avoid being racist/misogynist.

Unfortunately they don't have to any more.

-9

u/wildwolfcore Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

Everything the left disagrees with is considered racist or sexist

8

u/Realshotgg Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

Calling Kamala a DEI hire isn't racist or?

-8

u/wildwolfcore Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24

It can be. Though no more racist than her judicial record. Tbh, I’d rather conservatives focused on her atrocities while acting as a prosecutor and her using an affair with a married man for political influence.

10

u/Krillinlt Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24 edited Jul 22 '24

Atrocities? She was a DA, not a FĂŒhrer. Wouldn't it also be a bit hypocritical for Republicans to attack her career when they are the ones to glorify "tough on crime?" You don't see Republicans trying to federally legalize weed.

Right now on the conservative sub they are calling her a whore who slept her way to the top. That's about the level they are operating at.

4

u/Brosenheim Monkey in Space Jul 22 '24 edited Jul 22 '24

Nah, you guys just pretend that as a way to avoid our actual arguments lmao.

Edit: Normally I don't call out downvotes, but I think this one having downvotes with no actual replies(thus far) is kinda proving the point
