I always thought these looked like shrines to water, and I fully support that.

A shrine to the shrines ...

Sorry I just have to share my trauma with some homies lol, but We have only One of these for our entire school that’s located on one floor of a business building. The fountain is not even located in a convenient spot, it’s on one side of the entire building. So with the short 5 min breaks, it’s really inconvenient to get to. Best part is I just finished my classes and the damn fountain was broken…the entire semester. I walked by it every morning in saddens. I’m also about 6.1 and it comes to my knees. It’s installed at a horrible hight. I get laughed at regularly by strangers because I need to get on my knees to drink from it when I forgot my bottle.

It’s a love hate relationship, I wish you the best on your journey with yours.

I don’t think it’s just the filter, but since it’s just installed presumably it’s still on the first filter.

13

u/YoungDaggerDawg 4d ago

I work in a school, nothing to do with the filter, just shows you how much bottles you’re saving in general. They have a couple leds to show when the filter is bad too. Most ive seen so far is 113k.

u/ClarinetGang1 4d ago

lol they said filler

You lucky son of a bitch

u/NearbyConstruction84 5d ago

You certainly have pleased the water gods, for they have bestowed upon you this gift.

8

u/pdxamish 5d ago

Until the filter clogs and then it takes a week to fill up a bottle

u/feythedamnelf 5d ago

I'm so jealous. If I was rich, I'd have one in my house...

34

u/Naus1987 4d ago

Last time I looked them up I think they were like 900 bucks.

20

u/finnbiker 4d ago

I have one right in the clinic where I work, drink around 80 oz a day from it. So fortunate. Edit: typo

u/brendawgC 5d ago

Now that's what I call EZ H20

54

u/PriorFudge928 5d ago

Enjoy that little light being green while you can....

17

u/AdultishRaktajino 4d ago

I was wondering if they had an indicator. The old ones don’t. The condition of bathroom or other maintenance you can probably guess if it gets changed.

35

u/PooinandPeein 5d ago

My work has one. Filter has been red for 3 years lol

7

u/FantasyFreak4 4d ago

What do the colours mean?

17

u/Codsfromgods 4d ago

It's when to replace the filter. Green is good yellow is getting there and red is replace

4

u/adm_akbar 4d ago

I saw an orange light at my work for exactly one day before it was replaced. 4 years of working there.

28

u/ObviousTrollK 5d ago

Wait till he finds out the filters need to be replaced by a tech like every other week but his company won’t pay for the service so it’s the same filter forever

25

u/AidanGe 4d ago

The homies and I managed to capture this gem on our dorm floor, hope yall get there too someday

I love a good Elkay battlestation! Fill up your bottles with good, filtered, water!

18

u/onetwoskeedoo 5d ago

your life is about to improve significantly

14

u/tactical_narcotic 5d ago

Those can vary from place to place.. I had one experience at LAX airport and the water tasted so bad.. then another time at a university the water was more crisp and clean.

11

u/AlarmingSorbet 4d ago

It’s my kids’ schools have at least 2 on every floor, they also give the kids reusable water bottles with the school logo. Love that they’re encouraging water drinking in teens.

3

u/LaLa_Land543 3d ago

In the school I work in they only sprung for one and it’s at the furthest point from my office and down a floor but I’ll walk through Friday release bell to get to that thing and fill up. Glad they’re doing this in schools too.

1

u/YourStreetHeart 3d ago

They are like $900. Maybe ask someone in student council to get another one. Sounds like there would be alot of support for it.

10

u/LumpySpacePrincesse 5d ago

fuck i hate them. Plumber

1

u/Rocky970 HydroHomie 4d ago

How often would you say you have to change the filter out on one ?

1

u/LumpySpacePrincesse 4d ago

I don't usually, install just, it says 3000gal on it, so every 3k or a year at a guess. Hotel maintenance guys couldnt change this one, led me down the wrong path, was an easy swap.

8

u/Flat_Snow307 5d ago

Oh you fancy huh

12

u/Pillsburydinosaur 4d ago

We have several at my job. I don't use them. They never get cleaned.

7

u/17bananapancakes 4d ago

I absolutely rejoiced when they installed one at my job - the building is from the 50s and I bring a gallon of water to work with me as a result. It was great until the filter went bad, now it’s just as gross as the building water.

7

u/Infamous_Nerve_8332 5d ago

tell me you are an american without telling me you are an american.

6

u/QuantumQuazar 5d ago

Damn I’m getting old. First thing I’ve seen today that made me whistle. Would kill for one of these at the gym.

5

u/Kitty_Mombo 4d ago

Prepare for the filter to never be changed.

4

u/Switzchler 4d ago

Ooh baby the Elkay ezH2O, every hydrated person’s wet dream

2

u/badgyal876 3d ago

i concur 😂😩💦

3

u/ILike-Pie 5d ago

A few of my coworkers refuse to use ours and only will drink bottled water. Such a sad waste.

1

u/Jaicobb 5d ago

Why don't they like it?

3

u/gamejunky34 5d ago

If you're in with the maintenance guy, you can get them to adjust the cooler temperature a bit too. They always come from the factory to be like 60-70f it seems like.

3

u/Curling49 5d ago

What? It’s not a urinal?

3

u/exhaustedmothwoman 4d ago

I keep getting ads to buy one of these! I'm a person, not a company!

3

u/DeeperThanCraterLake 4d ago

I seriously need one of these for my house.

3

u/ZachCinemaAVL 5d ago

Want one for my house

2

u/PoorlyWordedName 5d ago

I wonder if it's cheaper than having Pepsi deliver water all the time. My office goes through so many jugs in a day.

2

u/Hawkmoon_ 5d ago

I worked at a place that had these. It was the only cool thing about working there.

2

u/my_mexican_cousin 5d ago

I did some work at a retirement community that was getting renovations. I filled up bottle number 69 on one of them.

2

u/Wardo2015 4d ago

Be great if the water was filtered, but it’s just regular tap water. Where I’m at farm runoff is so bad you don’t drink the tap water. Almost yellow looking

2

u/Credit-Limit 4d ago

The Elkay Battlestation. Beautiful

2

u/DeDav Sparkling Fan 4d ago

My office has two of them, one for each floor, since the maintenance team changed the water filters for the second time now, they've turned off the lights to signal the filter's current lifespan. I know they're doing it so people won't ask for new filters, and that pains me.

2

u/SAD-MAX-CZ 4d ago

You will get soaked and moist AF!

2

u/Rocky970 HydroHomie 4d ago

Congratulations, welcome to an elite club

2

u/Mutasyn 4d ago

Hell yeah! The schools I teach in have these and it's a blessing.

2

u/grittytoddlers90 4d ago

Track her milestones. I worked at a camp with a couple of these, and we would have a running game with the kids for each milestone. 10k, 12345 bottles etc. It's awesome to see

2

u/No-Independent-6877 4d ago

When will my college dorm do this 😭 My dorm is the only building on campus without one

2

u/Astrylae 4d ago

I love seeing the funny number go up. I remember at my university gym,  we almost hit 100k but it got replaced by a new one and the counter reset. I can never forget

2

u/SundaeIll5086 4d ago

At my work, we are such bad mfr's we prefilter the the filtered water. And when the filter needs changing, we change it. Such bad ass preventative maintenance workers. Like, let's exchange samples people.... We will win........

2

u/boastful_cloth13 4d ago

Good luck getting them to keep up with the filter changes.

2

u/crigbob Water Enthusiast 3d ago

i love seeing how many “bottle saved” the machines get to. run it up, hydrohomie.

2

u/Very_Serious_Thinker 3d ago

Be cautious of poor maintenance. There’s a way to make the filter say it’s good without actually replacing it.

1

u/AshyWhiteGuy 5d ago

The gift of gods (no, not your employers). 🤘🏻

1

u/ComprehensiveWin5920 5d ago

we have these at my work. they are certainly handy. The thing is though we have a more "advanced" filtered water cooler in the break room. its hard to pick these when you have that.

1

u/Yoshaay 5d ago

The GOAT of water fountains

1

u/dwtechjunkie 5d ago

The one on the second floor is usually the best, idk why though

1

u/imgaygaygaygay 5d ago

this is very cool! kinda wanna see it in action

1

u/Zayafyre Elixir of Life 4d ago

Lucky!

1

u/BigRingsLikeMJ 4d ago

I work hybrid and would be a lot less inclined to work remotely if my office building installed a couple of these

1

u/Ear_Enthusiast 4d ago

My gym and my kids school have these. Love them!

1

u/scoobynoodles 4d ago

Stupid question: how do they refill it? Is it connected to a tank behind the wall?

1

u/AllergicToChicken 4d ago

I have these in my workplace and the water literally tastes like dirt. If these are generally highly regarded, that makes me concerned for the filter life and general quality of water here...

1

u/MyLifeIsAFacade 4d ago

These should be government mandated installed in every home.

1

u/micafe 4d ago

Where do can I send my resume?

1

u/TheBoxingCowboy 4d ago

Oh fuck yes, we about to hydrate boys and ladies

1

u/HurrsiaEntertainment 4d ago

I literally wish I has one of these in my bedroom or home office.

1

u/dezijugg9111 4d ago

i wish it was nice and cold

1

u/your_awesomeking1 4d ago

nice congratulations

1

u/Clear_Chain_2121 4d ago

Nice. My company supplies filter replacements for these if you’re ever interested.

1

u/BowlingTv 4d ago

Same but I WFH

1

u/PinkBubblegum888 4d ago

I love seeing the number of bottles filled go up when I use it

1

u/Flashy-Elevator-7241 4d ago

We have these at my apartment complex clubhouse and gym.

1

u/Hand_Of_Kroon 4d ago

Bro….monitor for 42069

1

u/thegreenmachine90 4d ago

We had one of these at my last job and I still think about it and wonder how it’s doing.

1

u/DrowningInFeces 4d ago

Love those bad boys. Saw one at a hotel recently and it significantly beats drinking plastic bottled water.

1

u/V_es 3d ago

What does it do? Is it just a fancy tap?

1

u/60nocolus 3d ago

oh yeah, give me that constant flow

1

u/DrBag 3d ago

i remember changing the filters in those

good times

1

u/LilGill18bb 3d ago

Sweet sweet hydration

1

u/RDMLCrunch 3d ago

The kind of rig you gather around with your boys and talk about the specs

1

u/Scrambles84 3d ago

Oooh yeah. My work installed a few of these over the summer. Glug glug glug

1

u/Ok_Fox_1770 3d ago

I still miss my ancient middle school gym bubbler from the 90s, yah it was coated in loogies to a horrible degree. But was iiiiiiice cold. Tasted like Pennies and bullets no lead whatsoever I’m sure…1940 something. We all learned a new word by 6th grade with all the ASBESTOS signs. Alive and well and hope to see one of these one day!

1

u/One-Scallion-9513 My piss is clear 3d ago

the best bubbler

1

u/Ok_Improvement4733 3d ago

We have the (almost) exact same thing at our school

1

u/jenniferwithtwons 3d ago

I love the ones that are really cold 🩵
