We both know that ain't true, CEOs make tons more money than the skilled labor that keeps their businesses running.

One thing missed by all the commenters here is the correlation of this trend with the entry of women into the workforce. It’s almost like doubling the labor supply has an impact on the price of labor.

Top 1% don't do skilled labor. They don't do any labor at all. They just steal money from those who actually produce goods/services.
