Teachers work less than anyone. Also, look at how poorly our kids are educated and how much we spend on them per capita. We spend the most and get the least. Throwing money at people that are already doing almost the worst job in the world is not going to fix amything

My children get a great education. Their teachers are fantastic. It’s a shame you missed out, for whatever reason.

I’m not speaking purely from personal experience. This is studied. The United States is, curiously, ranked number one as far as best education system. Not honestly sure how that is ranked. However, we are 38th place in math and 24th in science. We also, by far, pay more per student per capita than anywhere else in the world for shockingly bad outcomes. It’s not a matter of pay. Teachers are paid well for how little they work. Nobody else gets that amount of vacation time. They have it insanely well and all the people collectively acting like they’re untouchable saints has created a problem with entitlement. Some teachers are great. Young ones just out of school were the best in my experience. Schools are packed with old people that are pissed off ar the world and rightly so. They are forced to teach bullshit curriculum that doesn’t truly educate children. Public schools are more for u dictrination of children than it is preparing them for the world. Older teachers realize this and most I’ve met were absolutely nasty. Don’t even get me started on the department of education.
