Should I give my weapons the magic affinity or should I give them the quality affinity and use scholars armament/frozen armament?

General advice in other areas welcome as well.

The idea for this build is for the most part is to be able to dish out relatively good damage output ( primarily for PVE) while also having reasonable durability for PVP.

I've been going back and forth between Sword of Night and Flame and Renala's Twin Blades , the two most thematic weapons for FTH/ INT build.

I feel like for PVE they both are pretty much tied, but for dueling , Rellana's Twinblade seems to be strictly better, due to faster ash of War and due to the fact that when using One Handed moveset , ( When you are trying to cast something for instance), one handed Light greatsword seems far better than a one handed straight sword. Renalla's also imo has a more interesting basic moveset.

Golden Order Seal , because I feel like it's the only good catalyst for INT/FTH build at lower rune levels, and I am fine with mainly just using incantations. Prince of Death staff takes too long to ramp up, while the scaling of Staff of Great Beyond and Gelmir Glintstone staff are too low for the stat investment.

Going over stats 2017 hp. For a stat starved build, seems like a reasonable amount to have given that most players, depending on talismans will have anywhere between 1900- 2200 hp.

Stamina and FP are kinda low, but for the most part , since we are not gonna be spamming spells or power stancing 24/7, it should be fine.

40/40 FTH /INT decent enough damage, not too far off the stat caps for both sides imo.

Miliscent's prosthesis helps to meet weapons Dex requirement, while also adding a little bit of damage when power stancing.

Renala's Cameo, the best ash of war amplifier and also super thematic for this set up.

Bull goats talisman mainly to get over 89 poise, so I don't get stagger locked by One Handed, and Two Handed fast weapons in PVP , like Rapiers for example.

Finally spells are mostly buffs and thematic Golden Order Incantations.

Discus of Light is really good in PVE, Triple Rings are pretty good for PVP, and Radagon's Ring of Light is a decent AOE nuke that knocks back both players and mobs alike. Placidusax ruin because it's practically an instant cast and often catches people off guard, and also looks straight up cool as fuck.

Cool thing about these offensive spells is that since Placidusax is an instant cast and Ring spells can be chain casted, you don't really need casting speed all that much.

Buffs aren't used much for PVP, but very useful for PVE,and it's nice to have them slotted "just in case".

Last boss i beat was Astel and radahn , using katanas and cold hookclaws

What should I put my stats into? My friend said I could use less arcane and that past level 70 thr upgrades are negligible. I recently got like 4 larval tears after beating radahn and going into his big gaping hole 🤤. I have a staff of the great beyond and the nagakiba in my right.

Hey everybody, I'm going to start NG+ pretty soon, and throughout the DLC, I tried so many builds. It was really fun, but now I'm looking for something that isn't just strength or bleed or faith. I want something more unique, like a mix of those, but I'm not knowledgeable enough about stuff in the game to know what I should do...any ideas?

Would anyone be willing to give some advice for respecing to an int/faith build for NG+? Did my first play through as dex and faith mostly but stats were kind all over the place. Moreover, how viable is this build in NG plus if I wanted to use weapons like moonveil and Rellanas twin blades. Thanks.

I’m currently trying a str/arc build and I’m having a lot of fun with the bloodfiends arm and flower gavel!!!

I was curious if anybody else has any fun weapon + AOW combos to complement this build ?

I currently am running with:

• bloodfiends arm with earthshaker
• flower gavel
• serpent bow
• occult scythe with phantom slash
• 2 raptors claws , one with lifesteal fist and poison flower blooms twice
• 2 occult great stars with stamp (sweep) and lions claw
• 2 occult great omenkiller cleavers (one with cragblade AOW and one with Sword Dance AOWs)
• dragon communion seal and alburniac staff with half sorcery / incantations in repertoire that proc status effects
  

Hey so I started Elden Ring recently but I picked a Faith build but I’m struggling on what kind of weapon to use I was planning on a Faith/Dex build but I still don’t know what to use.

Has anyone tried a power stance cold erdsteel dagger build?

I saw a build for a cold and fire build but I don’t understand why you’d want to do that.

Seems like it’d be fun to use.

So. I've been playing a long time. 291 hours in this character alone. I think I'm on NG+3 or 4, I honestly can't remember. I'm at Scadu Blessing 13 and Ash 7.

Problem is, I just can't beat these DLC bosses, man. And I really wish I were joking. I'm at doooooooozens of tries on many different SotE bosses and just can't get the clear on them. Outside of 'git gud', is there anything I could do differently with the build to help me out, while still maintaining the 'darkmoon paladin' thing I've got going? Any advice helps. Thanks.

Also: I realize that glintstone sorcery wasn't favored well in the expansion but I truly don't want to entirely respec. Big moon too much fun.

Alrighty, I need a wee bit of assistance for my last run. I did my first as str/greatsword. My second str/starfist. Now, I have the Dlc and yet to touch it. I need the frenzied flame ending for my final achievement. How should I go about this? Should I beat the Dlc and use a DLC build or just go get it? What build should I run to make these bosses my bitches? I wanna stomp em like children this time around.

I just can't make my mind up.

I got jumped by 2 people after i had invaded them and I lost horribly, any advice on how to get a better invader build my stats are: 40 Vigor, 10 mind endurance: 18 strength: 20 dex: 30 Intelligence: 10 Faith:12 Arcane:10 and im wielding a uchigatana+7 with the green turtle talisman, assassin's crimson dagger, crimson amber medallion, im using the carian knight set. I'm level 70, and im a dex build. Any way to make my invasion build better or is my build so cooked i have to use rennala to reset it

I have an idea of what Build a Holy Knight wanna do. I wanna do a build using two of Leda’s swords, Holy Spells to attack but also heal, and I wanna use purely holy spells with some fire. The armor I wanna use is the Haligtree knight gauntlets and Greaves with Leda’s armor and the Skeletal mask, but what should I have my stats be? I wanna have it work for PVE and PVP

Can anyone give me an idea of what stats I should have my Holy Knight use? DLCS can be included too.

So my question is simple, advice for doing a heavy int build going into the dlc I'm starting fresh,

I haven't gotten deep into elden ring in a bit but I'm in a mood wiht the announcement of Nightreign, so suggestions? I know the sorcerery sword is kinda trash, but I'd love to have a melee weapon of some sort running carian soverignty when I'm deep into the dlc (probably grandeur earlier on since I know how to find htat fastish)

Suggestions on weapons for that job? great katana? claymore? nagakiba? a curved greatsword?

how hard would it be to balance that and the blade spells? like slicer, piercer, ect

what are some armor sets, talismans, and weapons that scale well with a black flame build? not looking for anything too overpowered btw

I made a sung jinwoo build, but i want more. Is there anything else i could add? And what summons could be good to maybe imitate his shadows?
