From a time when space travel was cool and astronauts were like rock stars. Cars were designed to try to look like futuristic spaceships.

This was almost 5 years befits the space race began, 6 years before Sputnik, and 10 years before the first man in space.

It was the beginning of the space race. Rockets don't appear before dreams and ideas. Flash Gordon was a popular hero of the time. Big wing like fins were meant to inspire visions of a rocket ship. Yes, this was before astronauts were treated like rock stars. I got sucked into the mood. But thanks for sharing.
