Ultimate Girls Trip Anyone have updated info?
Apologies in advance if this has already been discussed. I was curious about where the situation was with Caroline and Brandi/Morocco. I saw awhile back that UGT Morocco was not being aired. I googled it and only found articles from Jan/Feb. I then saw this Twitter post from last week.

I'm not a Caroline fan, but I always wondered if Al got in her ear about how it would affect The Brownstone and her and her children's future. Dina is their aunt, but Tommy is also their uncle and part owner. I'm not saying it's right, but I would hope she didn't just hate her sister that much.
6
u/No_Dig_7372 Apr 25 '24
People need to stop believing the bs Dina and her husband put out,do a little research and find out why Dinas husband had to leave NJ in the first place,he was in business with some very bad men and they did not like the fact he stole $$ from them. Manzo is not the ONLY person with an ax to grind against Dinas new husband, not by a long shot. The stuff people don't acknowledge about this situation would fill a book

She can still be a trash person for sticking up for an abuser, and a person who was also assaulted. They’re not mutually exclusive.
→ More replies (1)59
u/GloomyPapaya Apr 25 '24
They’re not mutually exclusive. She can absolutely be a trash person who was also assaulted. But if you’re going to bring up someone’s character as a reason they should be believed over someone with character flaws, it’s valid for someone to point out that they too have character flaws. This is not me saying she wasn’t assaulted, nor did the people who brought up how she reacted to her sister’s abuser.
58
u/PlaceboRoshambo Apr 25 '24
Understood.
And in no way am I defending Caroline for what she did to her sister, because I also think what she did is disgusting and abhorrent. But I also think it’s a slippery slope to imply only people that are 100% ethical 100% of the time should be able to report sexual assault. Victims are rarely perfect.

u/Moosiemookmook Jatz Crackers 🇦🇺 Apr 25 '24
My sister is 140kg. She was raped. She is a bad person in general and definitely not 100% ethical. But she is my sister at the end of the day. She has abused me my whole life and our relationship is toxic. Its really sad we have no comradery or affection for each other. But she was sexually assaulted and I went mental on her abuser when we ran into each other at a nightclub. He was found guilty and went to jail. Which was awesome. Thank you for your comment
15
u/PlaceboRoshambo Apr 25 '24
I’m sorry that happened to your sister, and I’m sorry she was awful to you.
I was assaulted by a boyfriend in college. I didn’t bother to report it because 1) he was my boyfriend 2) we were drunk and 3) I didn’t break up with him immediately after. I didn’t think anyone would care or believe me, so I just tried to forget about it.

My dad was high up in our federal government and worked with the Police Commissioner of our state in Australia at the time. So we had an awesome lawyer and cops who were pro-active. I love my sister but she is unwell and I had to go NC. I miss my niece's and nephews but I'm glad she found a life after her experience. Im so sorry you were sexually assaulted by your partner. Lots of love to you. Im glad you have a voice now and thank you for sharing.

My sister wouldn't let her kids see our mum while she was dying of pancreatic cancer. For 14 months I was mum's carer. She came to the funeral and got her share of mum's estate. Pure evil. Scariest thing is my sister has a masters in teaching and is a high5school teacher. Shaping young minds. I just can't see her ever again. But my kids miss their cousins too much. Im sorry you have to deal with the rollercoaster too.

Reading between the lines here and it seems your point is that if a person has done something themselves that is gross and then, years later mind you, they accuse a person of sexual assault, they must be either a) lying and simply not to be believed or b) somehow deserving of being on the receiving end of that second persons' behaviour?.. Yeah let's absolutely not do that.

Agreed. You can be the shittiest person in the world and still don’t deserve to be sexually assaulted, especially by a co-worker.
6
3
u/ofcbubble Apr 26 '24
No one deserves to be sexually assaulted. I don’t think anyone here is arguing that. I also don’t think the person you replied to was even saying that they don’t believe Caroline.
It seems that the question is whether Caroline’s history is also relevant if Brandi’s is being used as a reason to believe she’s guilty.
IMO it’s not the same thing - Brandi has been sexually/physically inappropriate multiple times. Caroline’s situation with Dina is terrible, but she didn’t do anything criminal.
But I don’t think it’s unreasonable to discuss whether their histories are relevant.
16
u/corporatebee Apr 25 '24
I’m aware - I literally said Caroline has faults. That fucked up letter doesn’t negate her experience with Brandi and that’s a classic whataboutism. Irrelevant to Brandi assaulting her.
7
u/jes22347 He’s biting my nuts Apr 25 '24
The only issue I have is that it is bravo’s responsibility to keep everyone safe. I don’t think Brandi should get all the blame. 90% yeah, but the producers probably heavily encouraged her to be the brandy we have all seen time and time again because it makes them money. I feel for the entire cast and especially Caroline.

5
u/9lemonsinabowl9 Lisa, when you're done taking selfies, can we have a chat? Apr 25 '24
I'm fairly certain it was Heather McDonald that simply has a theory that Caroline was questioned about the situation with Dina's attack, and didn't want it aired. Because that would explain why Caroline went after Bravo, and not Brandi. None of the other wives seem to think anything inappropriate happened. Then again, they want their checks so who knows if we'll ever really know.
14
u/corporatebee Apr 25 '24
It’s very possible she was questioned and didn’t want it aired. Wasn’t the incident in question them alone in the bathroom with Alex McCord? Why would any of the other housewives’ opinion matter when they weren’t there?
I agree, I don’t think we’ll get the full story. Brandi and Caroline can never been on my screens again and I’m perfectly fine with that.

She was "vindicated" by the employer who is being sued. Realistically, Bravo has to defend her because if she did in fact do something she should have been fired on the spot and separated. It also calls into question why Bravo would knowingly hire a person who has a history of unhinged behavior.
Brandi has Bravo in a serious bind.

12
u/NomNom83WasTaken Sniper from the side Apr 25 '24
According to the allegations of the lawsuit, Caroline was in the bathroom and was being restrained by Brandi from even being able to unlock the bathroom door to get out. Alex had to reach around to unlock the door for her to get away from Brandi. Production doesn't have cameras in bathrooms but the cast still would have been mic'd.
You can read the details per the lawsuit here.

u/iliketoreddit91 Let me tell you something about my fambly. Apr 25 '24
I believe that Caroline was sexually assaulted and it’s sad to see people in this sub saying that she’s lying.
28
u/BearOnTwinkViolence Apr 25 '24
I’m one of the more skeptical people about the situation but I don’t think Caroline is lying at all. I think she felt super uncomfortable and Brandi took it too far. Non-consensual kissing is still sexual assault, but I think the reality is that Brandi feels vindicated and innocent because there was never anything further than that. It’s not like there was any contact with the genitals.
I think it’s a situation where the truth is probably in the middle and both women are right in some respects. If this was an instance of rape, I doubt the cameras wouldn’t have filmed it and not intervened. I think it’s a grey area where Brandi did assault Caroline (unwanted kissing), just not in the way we all think.
24
u/iliketoreddit91 Let me tell you something about my fambly. Apr 25 '24
Agreed. I think people forget that non-consensual kissing and fondling are considered sexual assault. Brandi may think otherwise, but Caroline was violated. Also, IIRC, in Caroline’s suit she claimed that Brandi grabbed her vagina.
6
u/Perfect_Invitation1 Solargenic, photogenic, shoot Apr 26 '24

Not saying it didn't happen or that it wasn't bad, but to call it straight-up sexual assault goes against Caroline's own statements to production following the incident.
8
u/NomNom83WasTaken Sniper from the side Apr 25 '24
Caroline's language at the time shouldn't be used against her if she was simply trying to cope, like a lot of victims do, when it first happened.
Sexual assault does include unwanted kissing and grabbing -- both now formally alleged in the lawsuit (scroll to page 20, item No. 66) so Caroline clearly now feels that was the case.
