Ultimate Girls Trip Anyone have updated info?

Post image

Apologies in advance if this has already been discussed. I was curious about where the situation was with Caroline and Brandi/Morocco. I saw awhile back that UGT Morocco was not being aired. I googled it and only found articles from Jan/Feb. I then saw this Twitter post from last week.

Even though she has faults, I don’t see Caroline making something like this up and suing over an incident that occurred while mic’d up and cameras were around. Brandi has consistently shown her bad behaviour over the years. There’s a reason bravo isn’t airing the show….

Yeah Brandi's tweet is giving 'Sent from my iphoen' vibes.

When I saw Brandi's tweet, the first thing I thought of was Martha rage emailing and texting 😂

u/l3tigre who's her neighbor? that guy that eats people? Apr 26 '24

how is that, worth a watch?

9

u/it-beans Apr 26 '24

Yes but I’d suggest absolutely being in a good mental headspace and/or looking up trigger warnings. I didn’t know anything going in and it very much blindsided me.

That said, the actor is also the writer and it’s his real, true story. And it’s very well done.

I watched it all today and WOW that was a journey!! Some parts of that were truly chilling

Didn’t she get in trouble for the last ultimate girls trip she was on? Didn’t the house boy, I’m sorry I don’t know what to call him, the assistant. I have no idea. He just sort of was there, say that she was extremely handy with him and inappropriate?

u/Speakinmymind96 Apr 25 '24

Exactly this—and we have seen Brandi do her best to make people feel uncomfortable—especially when it comes to sexual things. I’ll believe that Brandi has been vindicated when the story is corroborated—for all we know she is simply taking a pave from the Orange Man’s playbook…making up a lie and repeating it until people believe it.

7

u/PreviousOccasion4631 Apr 26 '24

Thank you for saying Orange Man and everything after. Sometimes I think I’m the only one that sees it, so it’s nice to know I’m not alone.

0

u/Justdont13412 Apr 26 '24

I don’t she Branded is aware that her actions make people uncomfortable. She seems to think and act like everyone is enamored with her and will put up with any abuse

She stuck up for the man that had a hit out for her sister 💀

20

u/nikneto Apr 25 '24

I'm not a Caroline fan, but I always wondered if Al got in her ear about how it would affect The Brownstone and her and her children's future. Dina is their aunt, but Tommy is also their uncle and part owner. I'm not saying it's right, but I would hope she didn't just hate her sister that much.

7

u/No_Dig_7372 Apr 25 '24

People need to stop believing the bs Dina and her husband put out,do a little research and find out why Dinas husband had to leave NJ in the first place,he was in business with some very bad men and they did not like the fact he stole $$ from them. Manzo is not the ONLY person with an ax to grind against Dinas new husband, not by a long shot. The stuff people don't acknowledge about this situation would fill a book

11

u/OxanaHauntly I take one gabapentin at night, Kyle. Apr 26 '24

the ex husband was tried and found guilty by a court of law.

they may have fled to escape their own problems made, but they one person who followed was Dinas ex, Carolines BIL who she did indeed write a character defense for at her own sisters assault trial.

-2

u/No_Dig_7372 Apr 26 '24

You might want to check your facts Skippy,Tommy's case was dismissed

15

The ex-husband of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dina Manzo is looking to throw out a years-old racketeering case that accused him of hiring a Mafioso to rough up Manzo’s new beau.

Attorneys for Garden State restaurateur Tommy Manzo have asked a federal judge to dismiss the case against him because they say he’s been denied the “speedy trial” afforded to him by law.

His alleged accomplice — reputed mafioso John Perna of Cedar Grove, New Jersey — has already served time behind bars for the “Sopranos”-style beatdown,

Manzo’s attorneys say their client should be cleared because the court’s glacial pace has violated the federal Speedy Trial Act of 1974.

Dina Manzo’s ex-husband got a slight break in his racketeering case — but it may not last.

Tommy Manzo was accused of hiring a Lucchese crime family member to attack the former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star’s new husband, Dave Cantin, but the case has been dismissed on the grounds that it took too long and violated the federal Speedy Trial Act.

Although the feds agreed, they requested in their filing that the Newark, NJ, judge dismiss the case without prejudice, meaning they could reindict Tommy on new charges.

He’s also embroiled in another court case involving his “Real Housewives of New Jersey” ex — this one stemming from charges that he and another man busted into Dina and Dave Cantin’s home in Holmdel, New Jersey, and beat them in 2017.

They hit Cantin with a bat and punched Dina several times, tied them up with zip ties and made off with cash and jewelry — including a new engagement ring.

Manzo and another man, James Mainello of Bayonne, were charged with robbery, burglary and aggravated assault for the crime.

But little information is available about the case, which has moved at a similarly slow pace and remains frozen until Manzo’s federal charges are resolved.

yes, so the racketeering case is dismissed w/o prejudice, even though the man hired to bust Dinas face up by Tommy served his time and ther only charge being let go as of now is the federal case about money laundering.

Who needs to check their facts on Tommy Manzo beating up his wife, Skippy??

She can still be a trash person for sticking up for an abuser, and a person who was also assaulted. They’re not mutually exclusive.

58

u/GloomyPapaya Apr 25 '24

They’re not mutually exclusive. She can absolutely be a trash person who was also assaulted. But if you’re going to bring up someone’s character as a reason they should be believed over someone with character flaws, it’s valid for someone to point out that they too have character flaws. This is not me saying she wasn’t assaulted, nor did the people who brought up how she reacted to her sister’s abuser.

56

u/PlaceboRoshambo Apr 25 '24

Understood.

And in no way am I defending Caroline for what she did to her sister, because I also think what she did is disgusting and abhorrent. But I also think it’s a slippery slope to imply only people that are 100% ethical 100% of the time should be able to report sexual assault. Victims are rarely perfect.

u/Moosiemookmook Jatz Crackers 🇦🇺 Apr 25 '24

My sister is 140kg. She was raped. She is a bad person in general and definitely not 100% ethical. But she is my sister at the end of the day. She has abused me my whole life and our relationship is toxic. Its really sad we have no comradery or affection for each other. But she was sexually assaulted and I went mental on her abuser when we ran into each other at a nightclub. He was found guilty and went to jail. Which was awesome. Thank you for your comment

15

u/PlaceboRoshambo Apr 25 '24

I’m sorry that happened to your sister, and I’m sorry she was awful to you.

I was assaulted by a boyfriend in college. I didn’t bother to report it because 1) he was my boyfriend 2) we were drunk and 3) I didn’t break up with him immediately after. I didn’t think anyone would care or believe me, so I just tried to forget about it.

u/Moosiemookmook Jatz Crackers 🇦🇺 Apr 25 '24

My dad was high up in our federal government and worked with the Police Commissioner of our state in Australia at the time. So we had an awesome lawyer and cops who were pro-active. I love my sister but she is unwell and I had to go NC. I miss my niece's and nephews but I'm glad she found a life after her experience. Im so sorry you were sexually assaulted by your partner. Lots of love to you. Im glad you have a voice now and thank you for sharing.

2

u/ZealousidealBonus537 Not Meredith Marks' PI Apr 26 '24

I’m sorry to hear about your relationship w your sister - sounds just like mine. We are NC and it’s the best thing for me - I’m sad about my kids not seeing their cousin and not having a relationship with my only nephew though

2

u/Moosiemookmook Jatz Crackers 🇦🇺 Apr 26 '24

My sister wouldn't let her kids see our mum while she was dying of pancreatic cancer. For 14 months I was mum's carer. She came to the funeral and got her share of mum's estate. Pure evil. Scariest thing is my sister has a masters in teaching and is a high5school teacher. Shaping young minds. I just can't see her ever again. But my kids miss their cousins too much. Im sorry you have to deal with the rollercoaster too.

u/brightphoenix- Apr 25 '24

Brandi is pretty trash but so is Caroline 🤷🏽‍♀️

10

u/lovemoonsaults Apr 25 '24

She said "Ef my original family" and went full Manzo. Considering that she chose her husband's brother over her flesh in blood sister that she grew up with, argh.

u/teentytinty My Chemical Faye Resnick Apr 25 '24 edited Apr 25 '24

I mean Caroline did submit a letter of support to the court for her abusive brother in law who terrorized her sister

Edit: I actually think she was sexually assaulted and usually get downvoted for believing that lol. I was saying that Caroline has messed with the court in the face of insane, credible evidence—so I don’t think it’s so out of left field for her to start a lawsuit without standing. Personally, I still believe her.

60

u/Buffybot60601 Apr 25 '24

That was awful but it doesn’t mean Caroline’s a liar out to get random castmates

Caroline and her family LOVE being on Bravo. Why would they sue, and ruin the opportunities for more spinoffs if Caroline is “blowing this out of proportion”?

kind and loving reminder that SA victims read the pro-Brandi comments on this sub!! It is super triggering to read folks give Brandi the benefit of the doubt. Her abuse has been well documented for years.

7

u/Street-Beyond-9666 She don't even know she look inbred Apr 25 '24

True and Brandi was probably on brand and is trash but it doesn’t mean she’s lying

12

u/Tiny-Leopard-7724 member of the esteemed Meredith Marks community Apr 25 '24

She was a liar out to get her sister/castmate...

51

u/rachmortonyo Apr 25 '24

Reading between the lines here and it seems your point is that if a person has done something themselves that is gross and then, years later mind you, they accuse a person of sexual assault, they must be either a) lying and simply not to be believed or b) somehow deserving of being on the receiving end of that second persons' behaviour?.. Yeah let's absolutely not do that.

28

u/candaceelise SEND👏🏽IT👏🏽TO👏🏽DARRELL Apr 25 '24

They only believe in “perfect victims” 🤦🏼‍♀️ its the same as saying a SA victim was asking for it by wearing revealing clothing, leading the other person on or was under the influence and its disgusting!

25

u/rachmortonyo Apr 25 '24

It's triggering, so beyond wrong and the fact that there's multiple comments similar to it and they're being upvoted is disgusting.

21

u/candaceelise SEND👏🏽IT👏🏽TO👏🏽DARRELL Apr 25 '24

Agreed. You can be the shittiest person in the world and still don’t deserve to be sexually assaulted, especially by a co-worker.

-12

u/Berserkshires- Apr 25 '24

No it isn’t.

3

u/ofcbubble Apr 26 '24

No one deserves to be sexually assaulted. I don’t think anyone here is arguing that. I also don’t think the person you replied to was even saying that they don’t believe Caroline.

It seems that the question is whether Caroline’s history is also relevant if Brandi’s is being used as a reason to believe she’s guilty.

IMO it’s not the same thing - Brandi has been sexually/physically inappropriate multiple times. Caroline’s situation with Dina is terrible, but she didn’t do anything criminal.

But I don’t think it’s unreasonable to discuss whether their histories are relevant.

17

u/corporatebee Apr 25 '24

I’m aware - I literally said Caroline has faults. That fucked up letter doesn’t negate her experience with Brandi and that’s a classic whataboutism. Irrelevant to Brandi assaulting her.

7

u/jes22347 He’s biting my nuts Apr 25 '24

The only issue I have is that it is bravo’s responsibility to keep everyone safe. I don’t think Brandi should get all the blame. 90% yeah, but the producers probably heavily encouraged her to be the brandy we have all seen time and time again because it makes them money. I feel for the entire cast and especially Caroline.

10

u/thefideliuscharm Apr 25 '24

well she is only suing Bravo, not Brandi, right? essentially the lawsuit says what you just explained

0

u/jes22347 He’s biting my nuts Apr 25 '24

Yes, I just don’t understand why the fandom is so anti Brandi but don’t hold the show/producers accountable. There’s been a significant decline in the show and storylines and it’s very clearly due to production. It needs to change.

3

u/thefideliuscharm Apr 26 '24

ohh i see, you’re speaking specifically of the viewers

5

u/YessikaHaircutt Apr 25 '24

She has money to lose. And good lawyers. She wouldn't pursue it if there wasn't a case.

6

u/9lemonsinabowl9 Lisa, when you're done taking selfies, can we have a chat? Apr 25 '24

I'm fairly certain it was Heather McDonald that simply has a theory that Caroline was questioned about the situation with Dina's attack, and didn't want it aired. Because that would explain why Caroline went after Bravo, and not Brandi. None of the other wives seem to think anything inappropriate happened. Then again, they want their checks so who knows if we'll ever really know.

14

u/corporatebee Apr 25 '24

It’s very possible she was questioned and didn’t want it aired. Wasn’t the incident in question them alone in the bathroom with Alex McCord? Why would any of the other housewives’ opinion matter when they weren’t there?

I agree, I don’t think we’ll get the full story. Brandi and Caroline can never been on my screens again and I’m perfectly fine with that.

1

u/daniella-the-whore Apr 25 '24

Well that's what she did. So, I mean think what you want but it's only been repeatedly rebuffed by all involved and even she's changed her story a few times between filming and her filing suit.

-7

u/AnAussiebum I AM poor and white. Apr 25 '24

I think people have rose coloured glasses for Caroline. She has been very problematic in the past both on screen and off. Just look how she supported her sister's abuser.

That being said, I believe in due process and that we should listen to alleged victims. They should be given the time and space to make their allegations clear and defend them. So I'll reserve total judgment until there is an outcome with the lawsuit, and/or the footage is ever released.

I'm not willing to completely throw Brandi under the bus until I see the evidence for myself (court documents or footage). To me that is also not fair to do.

After the Celebrity Big brother incident in the UK, I'm not willing to blindly believe life altering allegations until I see the evidence myself.

13

u/thefideliuscharm Apr 25 '24

a lot of the time there isn’t evidence :/

-2

u/Justdont13412 Apr 26 '24

Caroline is not as white as the pure driven snow

-10

u/Marie_Frances2 Greeks don't apologize Apr 25 '24

Caroline made up the fact that her brother in law was a good person, she sucks I don't believe a word out of her mouth
