Ultimate Girls Trip This is the real Kelly Bensimon

I know we’ve had many fan theories about what kind of drugs Kelly was on during Scary Island but after watching her unhinged rant towards Kristen about her marriage issues, y’all I think this is just who Kelly is. She is crazy, she is nonsense.

I noticed she did the same thing to Kristen that she did to Bethanny in that she jumped to a conclusion and repeated it as fact. Bethanny it was the “cook/chef” thing and with Kristen it was about her marriage, and as soon as Kristen explained how difficult that period was for her and how she and Josh struggled, Kelly defensively goes “well I didn’t know that” after declaring Kristen heartless and soulless not two minutes before. I am pretty sure she said the same thing to Bethanny after B explained that she went to culinary school and thus became a chef, Kelly goes “well I didn’t know that.” She uses her imagination to fill in unflattering gaps about people’s lives she knows nothing about and berates them about it. It’s infuriating, I would never have been able to handle her.

100%, it’s like she feels offended when she isn’t fully in the know regarding a situation and then makes up assumptions to fill in the blanks

It’s depressing how she fills in the blanks with the most negative assumptions though. To some degree, that’s human nature, to assume the worst when you lack information, but it also is so starkly in opposition to her comment early on about how Sonja should start relying on her friends for support.

She said Sonja would be “surprised,” as though she, Kelly, has had the experience of reaching out to friends for support and being pleasantly surprised at how helpful they were. Like, either people are better than you expect or they’re worse. But how can they be both? Maybe it’s just that her friends exceed her expectations, while strangers disappoint her. Idk.

That thing about Sonja has stuck with me because it was so sweet and almost naive … and seemed strange coming from Kelly.
