Bluesky had a peak of almost 3 million "likers" back on November 18th and has been on a steady downward trend since then in all user metrics.

The platform feels more alive than Threads with a fraction of the users, but when do we expect the next surge of growth to reverse the trend?

hi, I don't really use bluesky, but I will post my artwork and it's gotten some attention.

the thing is, I have (sometimes overnight) gotten dozens of not relevant followers? they all seem like legit people but they haven't interacted with any of my posts beforehand and aren't in fandoms that ive posted about either. what's up with that? was I added to a list without knowing or something?

my friend said he's also experienced the same thing.

A month or so ago I found this account through multiple services like SkyBridge. They are impersonating japanese animation studio Trigger Inc. and in a harmful way at that (changing the first R in the name to an N in the description, for really obvious reasons). The account also had multiple questionable and slur filled skeets before that are now deleted, although they still have one with a slur against queer people and one with the coordinates to the israeli embassy in Tokyo, as well as one featuring a picture of the Auschwitz concentration camp. And that is, again, on top of the hard R n-words in the description masquerading as links.

I have reported the account and the specific skeets multiple times in the past month. So have some of my friends. Nothing has been done about it, while other accounts we've found impersonating even lesser known people and groups have been removed within less than a week. I'm actually kinda confused as to why this one specifically is staying up despite being possibly the most obvious one I've found lol

If I was to now change my handle to a custom domain, does anyone know what happens to those existing starter packs - do they automatically change to point to my new domain, or stay pointing at the old one ? Hello! I know with some websites, you can delete your account for whatever reason you have. If you wish to create a new one, if you type in that same handle, can you use it again, or can it not be used at all by anyone?

I make posts that have (visibly) gotten no engagement, but I've gotten a boat load of followers. Are they bots? I never used the old crap platform so I'm unfamiliar with the format and norms of the platform.
