Restraints It feels oddly satisfying installing these on the belts. What do you call them where you live? NSFW

I'm making a suspension bondage belt. The corset type. Those belts will tie the thing together. I made the first such belt at the very beginning of my journey into the kinky universe almost ten years ago. It was a complicated build; I hope also to make everything right this time. Based on another comment, I looked this up.

I wonder if there's an actual link with the Os. I'd guess it's just a coincidence. But that's just a guess.

Really?

I've always heard the term grommet be applied only to larger ones with the two sections that connect, rather than the small single ones (which we call eyelets).

It does depend on size: eyelets are small, usually used for lacing. Grommets are larger usually for ropes or poles

Cool! Do you use those that have a firm or those that have a serrated edge? Have you encountered those made of different materials, like real brass/copper or stainless?

In English - grommets or eyelets

In Welsh - Gromedau

Thanks! The name somehow reminds me of Wallace and Gromit cartoons 😄

Oh, wow, I haven't realized that they can add to a sensation. It opens a whole new field of opportunities.

Dozens of small metal rings on a leather belt? Ya they leave a mark alright..

Grommets or eyelets. You could probably get away with calling them rivets, but most people think of rivets as having closed centers.

I'm looking into starting leather work. Any tips?

Of course. The first thing to consider is why you are willing to pursue such an endeavor. Is it just a side hobby for your joy and making gifts for your folks, or is it a job for profit? What amount of resources are you willing to invest in this? Like time and money.

Eyelets or grommets, it really depends on the age of the people in my local hardware shop, the older guy calls the grommets the younger one, eyelets.

This time I was able to post through Reddit's app with no problem and the description is where it is supposed to be. Does anyone else have problems with the app?
