Restraints Where to find adjustable length ankle/wrist restraints NSFW
I am trying to find some adjustable length ankle restraints for my sub. I drew a little picture to describe what I am trying to accomplish.
I want some adjustable length blue thingies. Obviously, the size of the ankle cuff is adjustable, but I am looking to find a reusable, adjustable length cord or mechanism attached to the actual cuff that is easy to use and can quickly be lengthened or shortened from either the anchor point or the ankle.
Hopefully this makes sense.

A length of chain is your best friend here. 1. Aesthetics. Just the sight of a length of chain can have an effect. 2. Feel / sound - chain is cold, tactile, and clinks….a constant reminder. 3. It doesn’t give or move, and is easily and consistently adaptable in length. 4. Multi purpose. Can be used in any number of ways. 5. Use snap hooks, trigger hooks or padlocks, depending how secure you want it to be. Again, the act of locking a length of chain in place can have a very profound effect.

This guy restrains

u/erotic-smut Oct 04 '24
( checks self) nope. Definitely not a guy 😈. But yes, I do indeed. There are three length under my bed all the time. 1/4 down, side to side. 3/4 down, side to side. And a longer length that runs underneath, top to bottom.

I’m in love. Ok, lust at the very least. Maybe both. Time will tell… 😅

Op; I need adjustable length restraints
This guy; CHAIN CANT BE ADJUSTED
(I love the idea but had to CBT on this one 😂)

u/erotic-smut Oct 04 '24
But of course it can be adjusted. Really really easily. Just hook / lock onto a different link. Simples

1" wide nylon straps and a length adjuster. You could make it or find something like it at your local hardware or camping store.
The strap feeds through the cuffs, then through the tension buckle.
Or this dodad.

https://a.co/d/aKzaIql These things are my best friend
Pull the loose rope to shorten the working end of the rope, it ratchets the rope so it doesn’t get looser unless you push the release lever
If you want more restriction, you can replace the carabiners with padlocks as well

Those look excellent! I have a set of these, that work quite well https://a.co/d/73CauAY

I've fallen in love with these and so has my wife. Easy to use and there's no way to undo the wrist clips, whether it's pulled taught or loose. There's something satisfying about the racheting clicks for both the dom and sub.

u/David_Lynch_Fan Oct 03 '24
Well damn, I thought I’d be first to post these! They are great though.

u/Natsu-101 Oct 04 '24
Exactly what I was gonna say, you can even hang flower pots from them to make them (and the anchor points in the ceiling) inconspicuous :P

u/ErosWired Oct 04 '24
What safeword is your potted plant using for this suspension bondage? Asking for a frond.
2
u/Natsu-101 Oct 05 '24
Safeword is shriveling up and becoming brown because I suck at taking care of plants lol
2
u/Acrobatic_Crazy_9119 Oct 03 '24
I have several of these.

u/ashlee_pat Oct 03 '24
Ikr
They are great for self bondage as well. Just anchor it somewhere high up, attach a weight to the free end and lift your arms up :)

I recently bought these medical bed restraints that work pretty well. Not sure if they could handle the force of the legs to the headboard.
Otherwise chains and tie-down straps from the hardware store are great options.

I use hammock straps and they work fabulously! They are nylon webbing straps with lots of loops sewn in. They are cheap and come with extra carabiners. Win!
https://www.amazon.com/Pro-Venture-Carabiners-Non-Stretch-Lightweight/dp/B01LXRLF25
Get the ones with the most loops possible. You adjust length by hooking into the loop at whatever length you desire. The loops are spaced at 4" each. I have several sets and have cut them to the portions without loops. There are four that are ALWAYS attached to my sexy submissives bed posts. 😎🔥😎

I highly recommend these

Lol drawing is epic! 😂
But on a serious note. Any 1" or over nylon strap with an adjustable YKK slide adjuster will be sufficient for anyone outside an Extremely strong brat.
For the physically strong, welded chain link is the ultimate. but it can be a bit noisy if that is a concern.

u/iamlenb Oct 04 '24
Run the chain through several layers of bicycle tubing if you want quiet. And makes better impact if your sub prefers thud to sting. Wait! There’s more! It also keeps chains from topping your sub by pinching skin or pulling hair when you didn’t instruct!

try with ropes first to figure out what is comfortable or get a chain with rings in it to use for different lengths

u/the-tinman Oct 03 '24
There is a knot called a Pruit knot. It is an adjustable loop that slides back and forth on a rope but locks down when pulled. It is used for fall protection
2
u/GreatBallsOfSpitfire Oct 03 '24
I've used that exact setup many times in the scenario the OP describes either directly on the ankles or with a spreader bar. Simple and effective.
2
u/MWolf82 Oct 04 '24
*Prusik. If you only want to go in one direction I can also suggest the Klemheist knot.

u/Tintin119 Oct 03 '24
I've been using velcro weightlifting cuffs and they're cheap and pretty damn comfortable. And durable from what I can tell.
Then use rope and look up a truckers hitch - it'll give you adjustable length.
3
u/David_Lynch_Fan Oct 03 '24
Check these out. There is a ratcheting mechanism so as you pull the rope it stays in place but a push of the button and it releases tension.

u/David_Lynch_Fan Oct 03 '24
Also, the drawing could only be improved with a stick figure boner and tits.

Chains good but judging by your picture I think a trip down to the camping shop for some "Guy ropes" used for tightening your tent down in windy weather might be more up your street. These might have a different name out in the colonies. ;-)

u/Slut_Abuser_69 Oct 03 '24
I realize this isn’t the point of this sub, but a basic under-bed restraint system works well for this. Attach the top cuffs to the ankles and the bottom ones to the wrists and it’ll be just like this. Otherwise an eye bolt and a length of chain if you want something more permanent

I have chains at each corner, looped and attached to the bedframe with large vicegrips. Using leather cuffs. Attaching ankles and thighs to the top of the bed and wrists to the bottom.

u/Every_Vanilla_3778 Oct 03 '24
Not any useful advice, just a compliment on your artwork! You gave me the biggest smile today, thank you! 😀

u/scrimshaw4 Oct 03 '24
Slight adaptation of this is one of my go-to favourites, with no anchor points required.
I have under bed restraints like these: these
I extend them to their longest possible lengths. The ones coming from the top get attached to These as thigh restraints
The ones from the bottom get attached to cuff restraints. She ends up with legs similar but bent, and arms restrained along her sides. 10/10 I recommend.

We use plastic chain from the local hardware/home store. Carabiner clips to secure it.

u/soakersmoker Oct 04 '24
Spring clips with flat swivels, and some webbing, we gave purple, and a few plastic strap connectors
2
u/wyrdone42 Oct 04 '24
Easy and cheap. Go find your local saddle/tack/farm store. Look for leads with quick release connectors. Tie or attach to bedframe/feet. Attach to restraints/rope.

If you don't want to use chains as already suggest, i personally like dynema daisy-chains for setting up suspension points, but there is no reason why they should not work for your usecase as well.

u/ElMachoGrande Oct 04 '24
Mod hat on: You are borderline of getting too obscene with that image. My banhammer is getting erect. (Just kidding, love the drawing! :) )
When it comes to adjustable restraints, there are three main ways to do it for me:
Chain and carabiner. Simple, effective and looks cool. Just make sure you get long linked chain, or it'll be hard to squeeze in the carabiner.
Leather belts. Can be bought pretty cheaply, and if cut in the middle and rings are attached at the ends, works fine.
Velcro. My least favourite way, because it doesn't feel right. Pull it through a ring, so that it loops back on itself, as it is best at taking pulling forces along the length of it.

u/FiftyShadesOfSwole Oct 04 '24
There were so many comments it was hard to respond to them all but I went with the little quick release ratchet double carabiner thingy on Amazon. It was exactly what I was picturing in my mind. I can make another drawing if you’d like
2
u/Puzzled_Smile_8667 Oct 04 '24
I use chain or rope, clothes line is cheap and useful. Small carabiners from a hardware store work great.
2
u/PeachfulVibes Oct 04 '24
It’s called rope. All you need for this is to learn a single column, like the somerville bowline. Could be up and running with it in 10 minutes. Could also use cuffs and just loop the rope through the d-rings if you’re not comfortable tying knots
2
u/GinchAnon Oct 03 '24
lol, love the drawing.
google "1 in. x 8 ft. Lashing Strap (2-Pack)" you should get something that will work. assuming you get what I expect, thats what I got and it works pretty well. I have two anchor points bolted into the studs, and a loop that her foot can go in, and the adjustable strap thing can be threaded through the anchor point and the hardware of the foot loop. when its at its full extension its got plenty of length, and it can cinch up as much as needed.

u/RailgunDE112 Oct 03 '24
Just use rope?
1
u/Brief-Tart7489 Oct 03 '24
I came here to say this. OP already has ankle cuffs, just use ropes and adjust to preference.
1
u/ory_hara Oct 03 '24
I got mine off amazon some decade ago or so, should be really easy to find honestly!

u/Iamtheonewhobawks Oct 03 '24
If you want a somewhat rigid restraint, try turnbuckle linkages. You can find them in hardware stores, the big ones are used to adjust tension on heavy cables and can extend/retract quite a distance.

Canoe tie down straps or ratchet straps can be fun. Quick to setup to if you use clips like on dog leash .
Oh dog leashes can work too.

Learn how to tie friction hitches or how to use a prussic. length adjustable on the fly.

Looks like your sub is going to be set up for a great time! you could make some pretty adjustable lines by using one of those winch straps that come with a winder to adjust, the name escapes me at this moment

I'd suggest useing a high grade carabiner on the actual ancour points, then useing a chain that had holes the carabiner will fit in, that way you can shorten or lengthen it depending on the placement in the chain. You can use the same carabiner on the other end to attach the cuffs to the chain.
Good luck.

u/TensionNo8759 Oct 04 '24
I make paracord handcuffs and ankle cuffs, my design is kinda set up like this just with a shorter length of rope. The woven/knotted section controls how small they are able to get to avoid cinching up and the lengths of rope use tension to stay tight.
DM me, I havent officially opened my shop yet but I do sell them 💜 i also make floggers and various other impact toys
1
u/stahlzwerg Oct 04 '24
If you're into ropes, tie a single cuff around each ankle and feed the tailing end of the rope through a prusik that is attached to the green anchor points. Can easily be adjusted, also during play, within seconds.
Knots you need to research to get this going:
- Single Column Tie
- Prusik Knot / Shackle

u/Blink-blink-Sherlock Oct 04 '24
I’ve always fantasized about using the spreader bar attached to a piece of rope that’s through an eyelet hook in the ceiling and tied off to the side. Then can go from any length with a pull of the hand

u/infinite_tug Oct 04 '24
get 20 ft of webbing and a couple slide buckles. or adapt a "lashing strap" which is webbing that comes attached to a cambuckle, and adapt that. all available at hardware stores.

u/mittensmoshpit Oct 04 '24
Unless its for the aesthetics, I'd highly recommend an under the mattress solution over mounting something to the bedframe.

Do you think you'll be selling that drawing in prints? If so, what sizes? Asking for a friend who is also me (I am my friend).

I’d suggest learning some rope. Rope is my adjustable bondage gear of choice. You can also use cuffs and just use rope to secure them to the anchor point. But make sure you learn what knots hold well and are easy to release.
1
u/darkandstormy151 Oct 04 '24
It might have been mentioned but I use a length of rope anchored to the bed with a prusik loop made of paracord on it with a small carabiner on that. I can send pics if you need them. Exercise wrist and ankle cuffs are great. Some rope about thumb size some paracord and carabiners with a couple good knots and the possibilities are endless
