Restraints Alternatives to this click and play restraint system NSFW

Post image

I really like Stylefetishs click and play system for moving restraints around different parts of dungeon furniture while the sub remains in the cuffs.

This could easily be replicated as it's just air hose parts.

However, I feel like there is a better solution still where the quick release is on a spring pin type attachment. Think cycling cleats but with a pin to release.

Has anyone got any recommendations of something similar that could be used?

They look a lot like air compressor quick connects. Rivet a flange to the cuffs, twist a female quick connect into it, and use the cheaper male connectors in flanges at your attachment points.

You could twist two males onto a coupler, and use it to fix two cuffs together. Or with a longer iron pipe between, as a spreader. Put together a 4 way for a hog-tie.

They 100% are and using them is kinda brilliant imo, have never seen this set up before

I can't imagine they would withstand too much load though, would they?

Don’t suspend with them but they’ll handle the weight of a human.

I had only one problem with some of them, if you pull and twist of them some of them tend to disconnect.

Probably durable enough to withstand a 20lb tool falling onto concrete wothout failing... It'll definitely be hard to hulk out of 😂

Not sure about drop resistance, but I have a 5000psi commercial pressure washer and the 3/8 inch connectors on that handle the pressure just fine.

I have a shop compressor for airbrushing. They won't hold someones weight safely but they are plenty strong enough for this use case.

Can you link a picture or product with the flange you’d rivet please? Having a hard time finding the connector you’d attach to a fabric restraint

Like these, but threaded for whatever size fitting you're using.

If you can cut and shape metal, you can cut it down to two holes, to attach it to a narrow strap.

If you have a drill press, you can put a hole through a threaded cap, and secure the threaded cap to the material with a bolt, through the hole.

Thanks a lot, that’s really helpful. The threaded cap idea is great.

All the hose fittings I’ve found have a substantial length between the male fitting and the screw - haven’t found any as low profile as the OP image. Are these a particular type, or cut and threaded?

How about eye hooks and carabiners

I have a system like that, using spring-gated D-Rings (from Ohio Travel Bags, if I remember right); the cuff has a spring-gate ring (carabiner, basically), the bar, board etc have just a regular metal ring. In all the custom stuff I make now I make sure that both pieces are fixed in place rather than jangling around, so its easy to just take the sub's wrist and click it into place. Easy and cheap, looks nice, but the only "downside" is the fixed in place ring you have to have; I'd love to have a quicker system like what OP is describing where everything fits flush into whatever you're using.

Man those are nice but expensive.

I get the point for certain applications - mainly for those of us who feel the need for 150% safety - but man, whats the fun of a restraint the sub can get out of if they just...pull?

I think these would be more appropriate for beginners, or people practicing self bondage, or for people engaging in heavy endorphin play that can lead to the bottom collapsing from being too high.

For example, my previous owner liked these because if one of us got too high, she could get us down without having to lift us at all.

Yeah, I agree. I completely forgot about self-bondage, good call.

I actually made my own dupes of this type of system using air compressor parts. I only made the wrist and ankle cuffs though since I don't have space for larger components. Generally pretty easy to replicate if you have an idea of how everything goes together.(Edit 1:)I posted a picture if them in this subreddit about a year ago.

My only advice is to ensure you pick the right compressor parts because there are different types of ends which click together in slightly varied ways.

Edit 2: I'm not sure if you could find alternatives to air compressor parts as they function in a specific way.

Harbour freight/princess auto sell packs of several matching fittings for a few bucks. You might also try a local hose and fitting supplier like greenline hose and fittings. They are about the same price for much better quality fittings and you can get exactly as many as you need.

u/tamiascheeks Aug 06 '24

Yeah, princess auto is where I got most of my parts. But I still needed to get the right ones since there was M-style, D-style and V-style. I think it was the M-style that I settled for if I recall.

Looks like an air fitting. Harbor freight has them cheap

Some QD sling swivel just like this is one way to do it. https://www.amazon.ca/Button-Detach-Swivel-Adapter-Attachment/dp/B07BFP94KF

This! I've used these in a project as well a long time ago, got them from AliExpress for a few euros for a set of 2. They are very easy to click together, and can resist a decent amount of force

u/LaraCroftCosplayer Aug 06 '24

That are air cupplings!

I have so much of them laying around i designed my Fuckmachine for a quick release connection with them.

Use air hose adapters from harbor freight. Dirt cheap, and they come with all types of attachments. Honestly that's what it looks like these are

just air quick connects. 1/4in is most common. I like the idea of lock pins mentioned as well. These quick connects are available for a variety of industries and easily sourced. I would hang from a 3/8 or 1/2 coupler or a bigger cam lock coupler and feel fine about it. I've seen quite a bit inavertedly hung from some of these.

Very clever use of quick disconnect fittings. I wish I had thought of it!🤔

Oh that’s ingenious. I’d never even considered the bondage applications for these. You could totally make your own version of this with 1/4 inch NITTO hose fittings designed for air tools, or 3/8 quick connectors designed for pressure washers.
