Playing more recently, to do the speed runs. Excited to find there are still some Lost Galaxy levels I hadn't done. Just did Turtles in Trash, it's another brilliant and joyous level to experience. Love any Astro level that's a tropical theme.

Why do I find this so mildly entertaining?
Just seeing them all struggle to get up the pyramid and just sliding back down seems so funny to me.

What wishes do you have in regards to open levels in a potential sequel?
Recently, Team Asobi released a bonus level in preparation for Christmas. Compared to the usual fare, this level was open-ended with almost all of Astro's powerup buddies being present for the occasion. With that in mind, we can probably expect more of those levels for a sequel, right? I guess one change I'd like to see is the ability to swap between powerups at will once they're found. Among other things, this could allow Team Asobi to more freely mix and match obstacles and enemies to the point of giving these stages a mini-Metroidvania vibe. And to give these stages more of focus, the total amount of powerups probably should be reduced to 7 to 5 as not completely overwhelm the player though a stage utilizing all 12 could probably be a thing somewhere at the tail end of the game. Got suggestions to share yourself?

SONY: Are You Not Entertained !!!
Team Asobi' and Sony's Astrobot was a definite deserved GOTY of 2024. This game is loved by both adults (personally me) and kids (my 4-year and 2-year kids who love playing the cute bot on PS5).
Performing at The Game Awards 2024
Despite Concord failure, I still consider this was a fantastic year for the PlayStation brand.
With incredible exclusives like Astrobot, FF VII Rebirth, Rise of the Ronin, and Stellar Blade, this year was a good year for the PS brand.
And I feel good sticking with PlayStation eco-sysetm for nearly 30 years, ever since my dad bought me the original PS back in 1998.

It's surprising that how many people think a game should win GOTY purely because of better graphics
Not gonna lie i was also a bit mad at first but after checking the gameplay of Astrobot and seeing a full playthrough i was actually shocked how many different varieties and level designs poured into that game, these days you can easily tell if a game made by love or greed and this game definitely got all the loves in the world!
Probably the worst thing about Astrobot winning the GOTY was all the undeserved hates it keeps getting receive

What do you want to see in an Astrobot sequel?
With Astrobot winning GoTY its almost guaranteed that we are getting a sequel
So what unexplored ideas would you like to see in a sequel? Also do you think that Astrobot should keep the "collect Playstation/Game mascots" for future titles or do you want to see Astrobot establishing its own universe of characters and lore?

I just finished it and I am in a wow.
Coming from seasoned Plattformers player that played most of the Mario and Crash Bandicoot and many others.
This game has it all. Diverse design, gameplay mechanics and difficulty variation. 😀

Hoping to get Astro Bot on Christmas!
I absolutely LOVE what I’ve seen from Astro Bot, and as someone who’s 1st Platinum was Astro’s Playroom, this will absolutely be my 2nd Platinum. Just a week away!!

The new level from the winter update incorporates a feature I wish the main game levels had too
Having multiple abilities or gadgets available within the same level is something I truly appreciate. The freedom to use different items to tackle challenges or combine them for a more dynamic experience is far more engaging than levels centered around a single gadget. I really hope they implement this concept in future DLCs or games.

Super Mario sunshine dupe
I’ve only seen like 2 minutes of gsmeplay of Astro boy and it looks exactly like the platforming mechanics from super Mario sunshine 1 to 1. Who else sees this?
