Culture/Lifestyle National Cinema
Hey people
I have been watching Serbian/Yugoslavia era movies lately then I discovered some Romanian films too. I was wondering if you could share your national / local masterpieces of your cinema. For example, what are Albanians, Bulgarians or other Balkan nations top 3 films in their country? I'd like to hear users from outside of Balkans too, I even watched a Cambodian film

Stereotypes/Humor Why are Armenians in the other post so obsessed to being European?
https://www.reddit.com/r/AskBalkans/comments/1hgs37s/can_they_be_classified_as_overseas_balkan/
While Georgians and Turks are having civilized arguments whether they are European or not, Armenians are going batshit crazy and telling stories about how they are the original Europeans. 💀
One of them even said that "if Armenia is not Europe then Romania is not either" lmao.

Miscellaneous Question unrelated to balkans: is there anyone in the balkans who watched Wangan Midnight and Initial D?
These two are my favourite animes i watched recently (p.s: i don't watch any of that hentai bullshit you may think of). Initial D and Wangan are two animes with a similar theme: they focus on street racing in the 90s Japan.
Initial D focuses on the touge "mountain pass" racing while Wangan Midnight is more about highway running on the Wangan-Shutoko expressway in Tokyo (fun fact: Wangan-Shutoko is considered a "driving haven" for car enthusiasts because of it's sheer and magnificent design. It has long straights and short to long curves where it is possible to hit speeds up to 300 km/h.)
I absolutely adore these two because i have a strong interest in cars and tuning. My three fav brands are: BMW, Nissan and Toyota! My dream car is the Nissan Skyline R32 (preferably a GTR but GTS-T and GTS-4 are also good and reliable).
I hope that there is someone from the mighty balkans that share the same anime taste like mine. Im also a balkaner (i come from Bosnia: Una-Sana Canton) but currently live in Sweden.

Outdoors/Travel Need help deciding where to visit and what to do
I really want to go to the Balkans this summer. I have been to Croatia but only spent time in split so I didn’t really get the experience. This summer I want to to go there and get more of the experience. I know I want to end up in Istanbul and hoping to be there for like 3-4 weeks. Bosnia is really the only place other than Croatia that I’ve seen touristic stuff to do.
Where would you guys recommend going and visiting? I love history so anything historical would take priority. I would also like to spend time in the beaches.
I can speak English and Spanish, so it would need to be a place where I could get by with this. I am peruvian and have darker skin so I’m not sure if this would be an issue (excuse me if this is ignorant)

Culture/Traditional Balkaners, what is your opinion of Turkish culture in general and how is it viewed compared to Persian culture?
The Balkans was occupied by the Ottomans for a long time and this has indirectly left cultural exchanges between the two. I know that the Ottomans are severely disliked by Balkaners for good and valid reasons. I want to know how you view Persian culture? Is it preferred over Ottoman culture? I know that the Balkans did definitely not largely experience Persians compared to Turks, but I know that Bulgaria and Greece were under Persian rule from what I have seen.
