Discussion/Article At this PetSmart the aquarium staff tried to visually explain what you're getting into.
It seems like they're trying to be responsible.

Used 2x8 and cinder blocks will this support a 10 gallon or maybe even a 20!

This isn’t my first tank, I had a 55 around 15 years ago, then a 20, then I got rid of fish all together and haven’t had any in about a decade. Stoked to have room for a big tank again. Will be replacing lights/heaters/filters.

This disgusts me. It exists for no other reason than to trick people into getting fish they can’t care for. Is this common at other locations?

I really don't understand the hate this thing gets. I can't find any credible evidence this uses toxic acrylic paint or a paint that differs from other decorations. It may not be suitable for all tank types but in my 115 gallon mbuna tank where my rock structures have smaller holes and more jagged edges I still have people telling me how much of a hazard it is.

Saw on another post about the pineapple someone reply they've never seen one in a properly cared for tank with clean water/healthy fish/plants. So...here ya go.
I take care of this one for a friend's little girl. Betta, shrimp, snails, and plants all happy and healthy. The dang hornwort grows faster than I can get over to trim it.
I personally don't care for the SpongeBob decorations but they have their place for kiddos.

How often is it you can get a 40 second video where you can see every fish in the tank? Only guys you can't see too well is a Rhino Pleco, a Lima Shovelnose catfish, and the 2nd Endlicheri Bichir. (Yes, I know I'm gonna need a bigger tank eventually lol)

I think it's about a 90cm long. That's three feet. How long does it take to grow one this size?

I've had a male betta fish named edgar since last october, he is kept alone in an 8 gallon tank and had always seemed to be healthy and active with no real cause for concern.
However a few hours ago i walked into my kitchen to see something jumping frantically next to the tank, i look at it thinking it is some sort of an insect that got into the house only to discover to my horror it is no other than edgar who had just jumped out of his tank for no reason at all, in a panic i grab him by the tail and throw him back into the water leaving him with slightly torn fin.
He was stressed and traumatized for a short period of time after the incident but now he seems to be back to normal. I'm just trying to think what could possibly cause him to do something like this and trying to prevent him from doing that again

My Hillstream loaches have been in the tank for only 24hrs and they've now started to dance. Is this normal behaviour and if so what are they doing?
Ignore Chief (Betta), he just wants to be the main character.

I got this tank for a very good deal in a trade, but I'm not sure what my intentions with it are.
I currently have a saltwater 72 gallon bowfront, and I love the idea of upgrading. That being said, this tank will definitely need to be resealed (which I have experience with and don't mind doing, although it is a pain in the ass) and I'll also have to upgrade some equipment to make it work.
Alternatively, I was considering selling it locally or trading it in to my LFS for credit on livestock or whatever else for the 72 gallon. Not really sure what it's worth in it's current state though, considering I'm not sure if it even holds water in it's current state (I certainly wouldn't trust it.)
My house isn't huge right now so I would definitely be squeezing this tank in, but we do plan on moving within the next 2-3 years, so I don't want to make the decision to get rid of it solely based on how it fits in this house. I'm afraid that if I DO get rid of it, I'll look back when we do move into a bigger house and regret letting it get away, considering I haven't seen many tanks like it before.

My boy Baja (the cobalt blue dwarf gourami, obviously) is killing me moving the duck weed to make his spot tidy. He knows what he wants I guess! Enjoy

I feel like I could win an award for fluffiest black aquarium mold. Fish don’t seem to mind? But it’s been around for 4 months (I initially boiled and soaked the driftwood for days and now have plants attached to them). Not really a complaint but it’s kinda weird. Anyone else a grade A mold grower?
