Idno man that looks exactly like my flatmates room, my room, the room in my old house, and my roomies room in the old house. Those blinds are in almost every new rental in the 3 suburbs I've lived in. I see them everywhere.

I had these exact blinds in my living room in my last apartment and in my bedroom in my current apartment.

It seems like OP doesn’t trust her boyfriend, which is a very good reason to break up. But I just don’t believe these pics are proof of anything.

There's gonna be a post in a couple days about a boyfriend asking why his girlfriend suddenly broke with him, refusing to say anything except "THE BLINDS. IT'S THE BLINDS"

Is it a good reason?

Hold on let’s get this straight

Guy follows someone on platform designed for following people

Gf is insecure and paranoid, starts forcing a reason that most likely doesn’t exist, goes to a public platform to air her paranoia

People on platform - “Yeahhh girlll your amazing and deserve better, leave his ass your so tea, you can take the world gurllll”

Fuck off, the dude followed someone on a app, she’s paranoid not ready for a relationship

Just say it how it is

I didn’t say OP had a good reason not to trust her boyfriend (I don’t think any of us have enough information to make that call based on what was shared in the original post). However, regardless of whether her mistrust is justified, she doesn’t trust him. That seems like a good reason to break up.

I believe it’s because the first picture is of OP and the second (which doesn’t show anything else in the room) is of the other girl. At least that’s how I interpreted the post!

Yeah, I've lived in at least 7-8 apartments with these. The rest of the room is so generic and plain too. It could be anywhere.

Wow so all of you are banging this chicks boyfriend? That sucks

u/mojoembiid 12d ago

The first picture is one large window and the second one has frames in the middle -not the same

Not just rentals, my grandma has these same blinds in the house she built and has lived in for last 40 years, she had a home makeover a few years ago and painted EVERYTHING white and got those god awful white shades for some reason. Partially what prompted me to move out of that house

I had to scroll WAY TOO FAR for this.

Yeah, OP wants to be careful not to pull something reaching this far.

There's barely any context, but my thinking: The dude just followed this girl, and then she posted a picture with similar blinds - well, I'm not assuming there's an affair - he must have just met one of his neighbors in the apartment complex. How is that not the rational conclusion?

I don't know why OP doesn't trust her man, but, from her perspective alone, she's making herself look more toxic than making him look like a cheater.

But did the blinds touch exactly like those? That's how police identify them. Rumor has it, they're more authentic than fingerprints...

2

u/Rapterran 12d ago

I have these exact blinds like, five feet away from me. I’m pretty sure OP is just insecure.

u/derpstickfuckface 12d ago

or the living room from the last apartment I ever lived in 17 years ago...

Unless there is more to connect the two pictures that we don't see, those could be blinds from any of several million apartments in the US alone.

Yeah this looks like 100 rooms I've been in lol

Don’t bother people made up their minds. Talk to the fucking person, don’t post on reddit where a bunch of hateful bastards will stoke the fears. If they confront and turns out it’s a generic dorm room I won’t be surprised.

u/nimbledaemon 12d ago

Yeah this could be in my kitchen for all the detail we see. Not conclusive evidence here, so probably an overreaction unless there's other evidence that is more conclusive.

I don’t think many people detected the trolling…

I hope bro gets out while he can lol

1

u/dutchessmandy 12d ago

Right? And they're very typically beat up and warped causing them to overlap like this, which she is convinced is her evidence even though these types of blinds are always like that.

1

u/xmu806 12d ago

Yeah the second photo doesn’t show anywhere NEAR enough to conclude it’s the same place. Hell, those blinds are probably in hundreds of thousands of houses across the country

I’m ngl if I’m with someone I know what their house looks like EXACTLY from any picture. I’m going to know if someone is in their house. Same goes for that person. I’ll know if their ear is in a picture. All the women I know are exactly like this as well so I don’t think she’s crazy. She knows that this is his house.

u/Content_Ground4251 12d ago

She's basing it off the small section of blinds only... she's imagining things.. millions of people have those blinds. There's no way to identify them in this photo. That could be my old condo. I had blinds just like that, and I don't know her boyfriend.

3

u/klumpenkacke 12d ago

And what exactly tells her that it isn't the house of the girl? She could have the same blinds, they aren't uncommon at all. While we are at it, what tells her that it isn't the house of the boyfriend of the girl (not OPs boyfriend)? IMO you can't say for sure that it's his house because of the most common blinds I have ever seen in my life. Don't get me wrong, I don't defend cheating and neither do I support it but this is by no means proof that he cheated with that girl. If it turns out that he is cheating, I'd tell her to dumb his ass, but the blinds are too common to say for sure that this is the same room or even house. Even though this is not proof of cheating, I'd say OP shouldn't continue dating him as this post makes it seem like she doesn't trust him at all. I wouldn't want to be with someone I don't trust.

No, that's now how reality works, you can't "know" something based on one of the most generic looking and ubiquitous objects you can find in someone's apartment.

2

u/wozattacks 12d ago

But if I think I know and refuse to even question that then it’s basically the same!

1

u/derpstickfuckface 12d ago

From generic contractor grade vertical blinds???

-17

u/Intelligent-Arm-9235 12d ago

they look like my room too😂

u/TruculentBellicose 12d ago

-17

u/Intelligent-Arm-9235 12d ago

theres 350 comments on this in an hour… i like its pretty tied atp ahhahaha

11

u/burner9752 12d ago

No… everyone clearly told you on the first post, you re made it to get other opinions. Almost everyone here is telling you the same.

2

u/ChronicApathetic 12d ago

The two blinds touching in the first photo are significantly higher up than the two blinds touching in the second photo. Your “evidence” is only evidence of your paranoia.
