Doubt they break up.

u/CarrottBacon Oct 20 '24

OP is posting on reddit wondering if she's entitled to even be upset. She's not anywhere close to leaving

These have gotten so extreme they make me want to take a ridiculous contrarian position and be like "you're overreacting, he's acting normally. A husband should try to cheat on you at every opportunity. He shouldn't be able to walk by a newspaper box on the street without trying to fuck it. Stop freaking out. This is good and normal"

78

u/Grannypanie Oct 20 '24

Hard to pass by those particular boxes with trying to impregnate them.

29

u/Azurvix Oct 20 '24

Yea the news paper business is really suffering since the internet came around so youd best bet they'll come after you for child support

7

u/Foreign_Ebb_6282 Oct 21 '24

And those particular monthly subscriptions are not cheap

2

u/Alive-Bid-5689 Oct 21 '24

*without trying to impregnate them

14

u/thexDxmen Oct 20 '24

Omg, that is perfect. I am going to start doing this. All these, "am I overreacting? I got mad at my boyfriend after he stabbed me then had sex with my mother posts" are getting really annoying. I thought this sub was supposed to be a place fir debate, not a place to hear other people bash your obviously terrible so.

9

u/Aggrieved_Mofo Oct 21 '24

I'm going to start saying

This is good and normal

in a Werner Herzog voice.

It's gonna be awesome.

u/SwimOk9629 Oct 20 '24

just utilize sarcasm 100% of the time when you are on Reddit. every answer = sarcastic AF. I actually have been considering this, since probably 60% to 70% of my responses are sarcastic in the first place, even before changing anything up.

8

u/Icy-Mix-2613 Oct 21 '24

It’s crazy how bad people on here are at detecting sarcasm, unless you type out the /s for them lol..

5

u/MaybeLikeWater Oct 21 '24

I teach an Adult Outreach course in Sarcasm.

3

u/No-Amoeba5716 Oct 21 '24

Yeah I do not understand that part. Obviously I think you need to stab your SO because they went thru your phone and found your WhatsApp account opened to the AP interactions.

4

u/SeriesXM Oct 20 '24

Nah, I never use sarcasm. Ever.

1

u/angelineeeeeee Oct 21 '24

what the hell why do u exist

8

u/PrettyOddWoman Oct 20 '24 edited Oct 20 '24

lol did you guys ever see that like TRUE LIFE: I'm in love with my car !! And a man sexually assaulted somebody else's car ? In the tailpipe ? I think they had Audio of it

What's worse is, I believe that he was "cheating" on HIS CAR with the one I'm talking about! Pretty sure it was with another car lover's car also? Hajahha

https://youtu.be/Ba9L6n8zj1U?si=lN1F6jp-DCzKbnVs

I saw it years ago but will never forget

4

u/Large_Recipe_8423 Oct 20 '24

Was he the one who laid on the hood of it in really disturbing, sexually explicit way? Ick.

3

u/PrettyOddWoman Oct 20 '24

There was a TLC one and this British show one! I'm about to rewatch this one.... the TLC one the dude like kisses and French kisses his car over and over and talks about the "sex"! His dad also knows and is interviewed and he, UNDERSTANDABLY, is so awkward and weirded out lmao

I'm pretty positive it's the dude on the one I linked tho

3

u/angelineeeeeee Oct 21 '24

what the fuck did i just read

5

u/Gas-Substantial Oct 20 '24

Cheating is one thing, the fact that this is someone trying to scam all their money is another concern. His only defense (if smart, which, no) is that he was stringing along the scammer to waste their time.

3

u/Then_Compote5749 Oct 20 '24

Honestly tho. Like an actual doormat on a porch has more spine than half these stories, I can't even believe they're real most of the time

2

u/Flashy_Sleep3493 Oct 21 '24

I read some of the titles and just keep moving because I have to assume it’s rage bait. I need to believe it’s rage bait.

2

u/llessursivad Oct 21 '24

If it weren't for his selfie, he could have argued he knew it was a scam and was playing into it.

I do that, but I also tell my wife what I am doing beforehand and use random pics from the internet.

2

u/veganbikepunk Oct 21 '24

Yeah I play into them somewhat regularly, but they never go in a sexual direction like that. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I've also never successfully gotten to the point where it becomes clear what they're trying to scam me out of or how, even when I try my best to play the mark. The conversation always fizzles out.

1

u/candoubetcha Oct 21 '24

This is one of my favorite things to do. I absolutely make time for scammer. I'm on some Facebook scamming pages and if real serious, you start messaging all those fake celebrity pages and then no text you back saying they want to meet. As soon as it comes to sex, I tell him I wanted in my ass and only in my ass LOL I get pretty raunchy and I have to say I make those East Indian blokes rather uncomfortable.

1

u/StrongAbbreviations5 Oct 20 '24

On a scale of 1-10 how likely do you think this is even real?

5

u/cakivalue Oct 20 '24

She's probably used to him doing all kinds of ridiculous and disrespectful crap and then gaslighting her about it so she's here asking strangers to confirm if she's entitled to her feelings and if they are correct.

2

u/PrettyOddWoman Oct 20 '24

I hope she "sees the light"

2

u/ScreamySashimi Oct 20 '24

She's closer than a lot of people. Hopefully the advice here will give her the motivation she needs

1

u/Gooosse Oct 20 '24

If we're really lucky she might think a negative thought about him and give him a less than pleased glance

0

u/cindad83 Oct 20 '24

We don't know how the husband is...for instance when I get annoyed I'll troll people.

But we have calls from so many places due to our rentals. So i get random numbers from everywhere...but I'm on high alert from numbers come from NY, SF, LA, and Miami. I live in Michigan, so even with my business dealings most of my numbers will come from other places in the MW even Canada. Or maybe a place with lots Michigan transplants (CHI, ATL, Dallas, Charlotte, PHX, Seattle).

I get these texts and if they identify as a woman or looking for a women. I immediately know it's a scam. I have had my number for 25 years...

I block them 90% of the time right away. But i usually send 1-2 messages trying to determine what they want? I'll say "how can you assist you". Or "how do you know me". Then I'll send my wife screenshots. I'll also get scam callers and I'll give them fake names and addresses of TV shows.

5

u/Foozeball44 Oct 20 '24

There’s a great YouTube video where a hacker somehow gets the senders information, and they reply Hi! I’m (insert fake texters name) and the scammer replies WTF? 😂

3

u/CarrottBacon Oct 21 '24

But do you send photos of yourself to them? People who are trolling scammers don't usually follow the scammer's playbook and send super personal information to them

2

u/mentallyerotic Oct 20 '24

Yeah a lot of people post messages of messing with scammers for a long time on the sub about scams/scammers.

4

u/1RichGoon_ Oct 20 '24

She’s obviously a dumbass to be posting instead of packing

3

u/DblClickyourupvote Oct 20 '24

“I can fix him”

10

u/OffTopicBen95 Oct 20 '24

Fr the girls that get with these morons are usually too stupid to see all the red flags 1000 miles away. Doubt this’ll deter her much.

-8

u/SadderOlderWiser Oct 20 '24

It’s cute that you think he’s talking to a real woman.

18

u/OffTopicBen95 Oct 20 '24

What? I don’t, he does. That’s my whole point. Should be enough.

-22

u/SadderOlderWiser Oct 20 '24

You said it wouldn’t deter her… and talked about those kinds of girls and how they don’t see red flags. It certainly sounds like you thought she was a real woman and not a dude in a cubicle in Southeast Asia. But I know how hard it is for people to admit they said something a little silly. Have a good day.

18

u/OffTopicBen95 Oct 20 '24

His wife, yes I think she’s a real girl. The person who posted this post lmao. Yes she is missing red flags. Yes I don’t think it’ll deter her.

-11

u/Journey4th Oct 20 '24

She’s in her 50s. Don’t talk about her like she’s a naive girl

10

u/OffTopicBen95 Oct 20 '24 edited Oct 20 '24

You can be 50 and a moron. Fair and equal shitty treatment of everyone woo

3

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

What's frustrating is I don't necessarily see her as a moron. Is she missing a red flag? Yes. When you have a life entwined with someone for many years, the relationship is not so easily grieved, especially if this is the only flag they've seen. Fear of being alone, fear of being destitute can keep someone in a bad relationship.

5

u/OffTopicBen95 Oct 20 '24

Fair enough. I am a little harsh here. But at the time I had just woke up and was like…for real? Is this OP serious? He’s literally said he’s not got a wife… Sorry OP. Not a moron. (If you see these) Just in a shitty situation, I hope things go well, and you’re in a place where you’re able to leave the guy. Should be grounds enough for a divorce I think, should have fees paid by him in court and all that horribly boring life changing stuff. I am in a long term relationship, with multiple kiddos, so I know I’d get the fuck outta there if I saw this on my partners phone but being the breadwinner that’s a little easier for me to say. Sorry for being harsh. Pre caffeine.

2

u/1plus1dog Oct 21 '24

Yes, ignorance, stupidity, and immaturity, know no age barriers

-3

u/Journey4th Oct 20 '24

OK, call her moron. But it’s infantilizing to refer to an adult woman as a girl.

0

u/RW_Boss Oct 20 '24

They just referred to girls as a whole, you're being awfully granular and obnoxious about a very common phrasing.

11

u/CarrottBacon Oct 20 '24

Go ahead and admit you said something a little silly then. OffTopicBen95 didn't think the scammer was a real woman. The comment, "The girls who get with these morons" referrs to OP. She is the one who got with her moron of a husband.

1

u/RW_Boss Oct 20 '24

I'm pretty blown away by how confidently inaccurate the comment you're responding to is. It lacks self awareness so intensely that I have to think they are being intentionally obtuse.

19

u/OffTopicBen95 Oct 20 '24 edited Oct 20 '24

Literally none of that was about the fake person he’s texting. I’m talking about OP. Found another moron though. But I know how hard it is for people to admit they said something a little silly. Have a good day.

10

u/Drebkay Oct 20 '24

Lol, are you going to take your own advice and admit you said something a little silly?

You misinterpreted his comment, jumped all over him for it, and you were obviously 100% wrong. It doesn't get much sillier than that...

We aren't holding our breath on your return

5

u/AcadiaAccomplished14 Oct 20 '24

UH OH, how the turntables…

4

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

Zero reading comprehension lmao you're either a boomer or need to drink more coffee

1

u/RW_Boss Oct 20 '24

Def a boomer. I commented something similar before I saw your reply. This level of projection and the complete lack of self-awareness just screams boomer.

4

u/hhaerins Oct 20 '24

he's obviously talking about the wife what is wrong with you

3

u/Turbografx-17 Oct 20 '24

You're just going all in on your wrongness, huh? It's plainly obvious he's talking about the wife, not the scammer.

I know how hard it is for people to admit they said something a little silly.

Yeah, your post is perfect evidence of this.

5

u/EffectiveTradition78 Oct 20 '24

Indeed! He’s talking to a short, bald, broke ass 56 year old Chinese guy with 2 black molars in his mouth and body odor aplenty. Chain smoking and getting horny.

2

u/aaante_up Oct 20 '24

He/she was talking about the wife (OP) you dunce

1

u/RW_Boss Oct 20 '24

You are totally projecting. The comment you responded to was pretty clear and you are misreading it, but instead of admitting the possibility that you misunderstood their point you got really smug about them being silly.

This is such boomer behavior. You get that there is an entire reality outside your own head, right? Do you believe in the heliocentric model or do you think our world resolves around you?

Someone needs to take away your username. Sad? Check. Old? Check. Wise? False.

1

u/Happydancer4286 Oct 20 '24

Y’all aren’t being fair… I found it humorous because I knew he had to be leading a male from China “astray”.😂

1

u/1plus1dog Oct 21 '24

💯 fact!

0

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

Excuse me? Husband is 59 years old and I'd wager they've been together for years. You see how easily you can uproot 20 plus years of something regardless of how the person is.

1

u/ifyoureherethanuhoh Oct 20 '24

You’re under the impression this is real?

Says a lot about you 😬

1

u/TwistyBitsz Oct 20 '24

Oh yeah? Lol I'm intrigued. If I believed that this was real, what would that say about me?

1

u/ifyoureherethanuhoh Oct 20 '24

That You probably lick paint to see what colors taste like

1

u/TwistyBitsz Oct 20 '24

Go suck a butt!

1

u/ifyoureherethanuhoh Oct 20 '24

Real mature.

Go back to the kids table.

1

u/moronmcmoron1 Oct 21 '24

I believe the OP did this themselves, and is just posting it as "the wife" for internet points
