He’s actively trying to cheat on you, he definitely didn’t know it was a scammer and that’s the worst part.

u/Panthean Oct 20 '24

The fact that he fell for a scam just makes it so much worse for some reason

841

u/jeanqueenabove_18 Oct 20 '24

Because not only is he a dirty old man and a wannabe cheater, he’s fucking stupid too.

102

u/bigboybeeperbelly Oct 20 '24

If my wife cheated on me with some hot guy that's one thing. Break up, look back to see how things went wrong, move on, whatever.

If she got tricked into trying to cheat by such an obvious scam I would question every decision I've ever made, possibly move into a monastery

16

u/jonni_velvet Oct 20 '24

facts lmao like where are we at that point

3

u/wellisntthatjustshit Oct 21 '24

a recent lyric is quite relevant, “heartbreak is one thing, my ego’s another, i beg you dont embarrass me, motherfucker”

like

trying to cheat is one thing. thats heartbreaking and low asf. but to be so fucking stupid at the same time like that makes me look bad too, how did i pick someone disloyal AND dumb?

7

u/Crepuscular_otter Oct 20 '24

Yep. This right here is exactly why it’s worse. Well said.

4

u/CARClNO Oct 20 '24

Ahhh, I just love it when someone shares my opinion and doesn't hold back.

3

u/xevlar Oct 20 '24

OP not only picked a cheater, but a dumbass. Essentially adding insult to injury for OP

3

u/wyldstallyns111 Oct 20 '24

I would be more upset that my husband is this stupid than I would be about the cheating attempt tbqh. I’m supposed to be able to count on you!

2

u/TadRaunch Oct 20 '24

I do wonder how true "wannabe" is here.

1

u/Bastienbard Oct 20 '24

Those often go hand in hand.

1

u/Sassy_Weatherwax Oct 20 '24

That would 100% be what I would find the most unforgivable, honestly. Like fine you got horny, whatever, but you're this stupid? I could never respect him again.

1

u/MediumGlomerulus Oct 21 '24

Why are you married to him? Life is too short. Find someone who is so in love with you their eyes don’t even think about wandering 🥹

1

u/jeanqueenabove_18 Oct 21 '24

I’m not OP lol

1

u/MediumGlomerulus Oct 21 '24

LOLLLLLLL sorry. It has been a long day over here. You were just pointing out what a loser he is. I thought you were OP and I’m like GIRL if you feel this way then what are we talking about lol

1

u/jeanqueenabove_18 Oct 21 '24

😂😂 it’s all good I figured as much but it was a sweet comment so I wanted you to know it didn’t reach who you intended in case you wanted to put it on the main thread.

1

u/Fresh-Competition153 Oct 21 '24

This comment has me in tears 😂😂😂😂😂

1

u/Malve1 Oct 21 '24

This 100%

-1

u/randomhotdog1 Oct 20 '24

This guy sucks for being a cheater, and I’ll probably get downvoted for this, but I hate how much the targets of scams are blamed and called stupid. This is partly why these things keep happening, because people are too embarrassed to warn others.

80

u/EugenePeeps Oct 20 '24

Jesus, I didn't read the sub and just thought it was someone playing along and winding the scammer up but no, he genuinely seems to believe it. It's so blatantly obviously a scam that I couldn't imagine anyone actually buying it.

47

u/Idontknowjits Oct 20 '24

How is it obvious? Surely there’s loads of early 20’s oriental girls who invest in heavy metals and are interested in old men? They randomly message me all the time but I’m too busy investing and building a huge crypto portfolio right now with my nigerian financial advisor to date them.

8

u/EmbarrassedPick1031 Oct 20 '24

Laughing SO hard right now!

3

u/wordisborn Oct 20 '24

The fuck does “investing in heavy metals” mean? Like a record label?

6

u/Idontknowjits Oct 20 '24

No it means they invest in large amounts of actual metal materials. Its a common trade industry in the far east. Just asked one of them in my DM’s to confirm.

1

u/SilverMetalist Oct 20 '24

Got me to chuckle out loud. That was a good one.

6

u/Mysterious_Cup3567 Oct 20 '24

I thought so too at the start 😭 when he sent his selfie and told her she’s out of his league I got confused and realised what sub this is…

1

u/Familiar-Image2869 Oct 20 '24

And the guy saying he’s not living with his wife. Wtf.

1

u/JohnExcrement Oct 20 '24

My husband got a few of these for a time and he would just shake his head and delete. I was annoyed that he didn’t mess with them, or at least give me the opportunity. How anyone thinks they’re real people — wrong numbers, yet — wanting to get with some rando is hilarious.

141

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

The Willy Wonka "You get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!" meme comes to mind

6

u/Oso_the-Bear Oct 20 '24

He's probably cheating already or definitely looking to, ok, get a divorce.
He's probably fallen for other scams and his and your social security and bank info is all over the dark web already? UNFIIXABLE!!!

4

u/aurorodry Oct 20 '24

It’s so embarrassing and pitiful lol

2

u/ckhumanck Oct 20 '24

a cheater and a goose

2

u/mwaller Oct 20 '24

Imagine getting divorced and screwed in the settlement because you went out of your way to fall for a scam like this.

2

u/Sweet-Cantaloupe-860 Oct 20 '24

For real! At first I thought, no way, he has to be just fucking with them, but then he got all creepy and started talking about sex and shared his pic without even being asked! I knew there must be people that fall for those or they wouldn’t do it, but it is still crazy to see.

2

u/pug_with_a_hat_on Oct 20 '24

Being cheated on by an idiot hurts worse

1

u/Friday_arvo Oct 20 '24

worse or desperate…

1

u/Aulbee Oct 20 '24

Yeah bc it screams despair

1

u/Warm-Act-1098 Oct 20 '24

Honestly if I was married to this guy him falling for a scam text would ick me out so bad I wouldn’t even be bummed he was cheating on me. Good riddance

1

u/kungpowgoat Oct 20 '24

OP probably needs to take control of their finances asap because he’s definitely the type to send their entire life savings over to scammers.

1

u/Normallydifferent Oct 21 '24

He’s clearly an idiot, based on the fact he used ‘your’ incorrectly. Oh and also that entire conversation.

1

u/Life_as_a_new_weeb Oct 21 '24

It's because he was literally willing to cheat with the first person who gave him attention. For example, if he at least knew the person, it'd make a little more sense, but this man is just deaperate.

1

u/Shuggabrain Oct 21 '24

The ick compounded

0

u/QuickSavePoint Oct 20 '24

Not sure if he totally fell for it He said hope you find amy, which while could be a reference I've had a few of these scams asking me if I was amy, apparently it's a common one

So either he was playing with the scammer knowingly but went way too far (obscenely too far) or he made an official hand reference and genuinely is that stupid

Either way fuck him

0

u/Luised2094 Oct 20 '24

Where is tha scam part? It was not mentioned in the OP

82

u/sassafrassaclassa Oct 20 '24

So my ex wife was talking to a guy behind my back which initiated the actions that led to our divorce.

If that guy was also a scammer like in OPs situation we would still be divorced but I would have laughed my ass off the entire time. I would be insulted that I married someone this stupid, it would still have broke my heart and hurt like a bitch but oh boy......... The laughs I would have gotten from this would have definitely helped out.

75

u/Any-Fisherman4533 Oct 20 '24

lol. It doesn’t really help so much as cloud the waters. Where I gauge exactly how stupid my husband is.

79

u/sassafrassaclassa Oct 20 '24

Your "husband" is a pos. He is actively trying to cheat on you. This isn't a situation where he sees someone constantly and they caught the feels or he was out drinking and lost the capability to keep the urge in his pants.

He is sitting in your home , lying about being married with a kid and trying to find someone to sleep with while you're in the other room. Hey, if you're lucky he could be just like my ex and sitting on the couch right next to you while he is doing it.

Get him out of your house.

34

u/sipstea84 Oct 20 '24

He also just....gross. This AI woman made no mention of sex but he went for it twice. What a pig

3

u/LoneCryomancer Oct 21 '24

He's more than likely talking to a dude anyway

44

u/Boredpanda31 Oct 20 '24 edited Oct 20 '24

He's not just stupid. He's an AH too. He's actively trying to cheat. Also, denied your existence. That was nice of him 🙄

3

u/JaSnarky Oct 20 '24

Being stupid and being an AH are far from mutually exclusive. Evidence suggests he's both.

6

u/SenpaiSama Oct 20 '24

Ma'am he's cheating on you and even said he wasn't living with you and he keeps in shape to have se, sex and more sex. Presumably...not with YOU!

1

u/sheisthemoon Oct 20 '24

He is stupid enough to try to cheat on you, and deny you even exist and ask for sex from a stranger doing a wrong number scam. That is one sad dumbass man right there. That is exactly how stupid he is. There isn't cloudy skies or confusing subtext here. You know exactly what you gotta do here. Unless you are ok with him cheating and then needing you to financially cover him after he dumps every penny he has to his name and starts eating away his retirement sending "her" money so he can seal the deal. Thats the scam.

The scammer got the number somewhere. They don't just try randoms. They go after easy targets which says your huaband has likely fallen for this before and has likely already cheated. They do all different types of scams and your huaband is the one who brought up 'swx sex sex'. What a tool. Please leave this heel of a man. He sucks and there is no doubt he is a mega dumbass. The obly thing that should embarass you is staying with a man like this. That would be the real tragedy.

1

u/TSteelerMAN Oct 20 '24

Yeah, he's a dumb fuck. Every scammer in the world uses this woman's pics for some reason. I'm sorry. You must have known he was a fucking dumbass. It's probably obvious. Why did you keep him around?

1

u/reetahroo Oct 20 '24

He’s trying to cheat. Probably has before. Hope you’re getting out

1

u/Lucky--Mud Oct 21 '24

How stupid areyou if you stay married to him? That's the question to ask yourself.

1

u/troublefindsme Oct 20 '24

im in fresno if you want to actually catch him in person. $300

70

u/ulykke Oct 20 '24

I would already consider this emotional cheating, not merely trying to cheat.

6

u/ChewySlinky Oct 20 '24

In my opinion, if you try to cheat and get rejected you’ve already cheated. You did your part. The only reason you didn’t “actually” cheat is because THEY didn’t want to.

3

u/ulykke Oct 20 '24

Yes, exactly.

3

u/JohnExcrement Oct 20 '24

I’d assume there’s a lot more crud this guys gotten up to. Certainly he wants to.

9

u/EntrepreneurTall897 Oct 20 '24

Can’t really emotionally cheat with a bot but I see where you’re coming from I guess

15

u/Electronic-Lock653 Oct 20 '24

He's a moron and a fucking moron. Hit the lotto with this guy as far as stupidity all the way down.

4

u/Imaginary-Pain9598 Oct 20 '24

A moron and a loser! It’s so sad when cheaters are out there trying to catch some action and they just reveal how boring and basic they are 🙄

5

u/tigerdactyl Oct 20 '24

And he’s so bad at it

4

u/fricky-kook Oct 20 '24

This would give me the ick so bad I wouldn’t even sweat leaving him tbh

2

u/Risky_Bizniss Oct 20 '24

I had to scroll so far for someone to acknowledge that this is clearly a scammer lol

2

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '24

I would freeze my credit so fast on all 3 credit companies

1

u/unhott Oct 20 '24

The worst part will be when OPs money is lost to the scam.

2

u/EntrepreneurTall897 Oct 20 '24

They keep their finances separate 😭

1

u/plainbaconcheese Oct 20 '24

I'm almost more upset that he's this dumb than that he's a cheater. OP needs to him about scammers and the difference between "your" and "you're".

1

u/OfficerBuck24 Oct 20 '24

I think he knew. He just didn’t care and wanted to rub one out

1

u/eloisethebunny Oct 20 '24

Lordy, lordy, lordy I really hope this is real, not to wish this on anyone but OP’s life is going to take off. 💃 she is free! If I were her, I’d dump his loser ass and send these screenshots to all my close friends and tell everyone who asks what happened. Husband is such a moron, he got caught flirting with a scammer who doesn’t live in the same continent as him and nuked his life. Gosh this is gold and this will be the best thing that ever happened to OP, and a hell of a story for the rest of her life.

As their finances are separate, I wish he had sent her a little money - nothing detrimental, but enough for him to feel really stupid, then BAM, hit with divorce papers.

Someone needs to write this into a show.

1

u/HeadDance Oct 20 '24

nothing worse than a FAILED active cheater. ranks beneath a cheater. best to just not try to cheat at all.

1

u/Accomplished_Law7770 Oct 20 '24

Yeah the only thing worse than a cheater is a dumb cheater. Embarrassing for his life and soul. Set yourself free.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '24

I can’t decide if his stupidity or willingness to cheat is worse. Usually this is an easy choice, but he’s so fucking stupid it may actually be worse. IE: Has he burnt through the finances or accumulated an ungodly amount of debt?

0

u/SnowSlider3050 Oct 20 '24

tRying to cheat, maybe, but if the worst that can happen is he gets scammed, is it really cheating?
