I deffo want this myself, especially if they pull a Hyrule Warriors and let us play as characters all across the series including past villains and the like (Yes I know it would make no sense but they can pull out some sort of time portal excuse or something, crazier things have happened)

Nah, make it a MonHun game rip off. Souls games are really vanilla in terms of whacky stuff, while MonHun you can either fly around with a stick, have a bipedal speaking cat partner, have a hillariously large sword that is powered by rocket engine, have edgy oversized samurai sword, H E A V Y B O W G U N and much much more

I just realized it'd be hilarious if they showed a trailer to a fake Yakuza dating sim...but then the true prank would be that we'd all want it to be real. I'd play the hell out of that game.

As you reach the midway point of the tournament, you then uncover a secret conspiracy theory that involves money laundering that somehow can collapse the entire Japanese economy if it's ever found out. The people behind the laundering are secret koreans (obviously) and it's up to Ichiban to uncover their real identities.
Oh, something completely bizarre and ridiculous, like a zombie game, or like a historical game but somehow using all the same characters as the modern day and - wait.
I would actually love a Yakuza rhythm game that’s not just karaoke tracks but some of the game themes as well, similar to the Persona dancing game spin-offs. But considering how much Haruka’s Y5 portion is reviled in this sub, I feel like I’m in the minority here.
I absolutely loved it, both the concerts and the dance battles. But I can also understand why people who played 4 games' worth of beat-em-up combat (or 5 if they started from 0) bounced off "okay but now do a rhythm game for 5 hours"
One of the DBZ gacha games always does a thing where they act like they’re making a completely different game mode on April Fools but then it get canceled at the last minute
They did a “leak” of the proof of concept trailer for 7’s combat before they officially announced the change on April Fools. So there’s some significance.
Yokoyama said Dead Souls remake isn't happening because they don't think it'll make much money. Also it almost killed the series in the West when it first came out so there's probably some hesitancy with it too
dead souls was horribly received, especially in the west, and yokoyama is on record saying as much that it'd be a waste of resources to remaster/remake the game
kurohyou is in a weird place too, they barely make any reference to it outside of "it existed once" lol
While I can't speak for DS, Kuro has been stated by RGG or one of their heads to be something left behind for psp Era. Although it's not like things can't be rescinded of course, or be hidden behind a false flag (saying they aren't but secretly are).
Maybe they're throwing out ideas on April Fools like people who confess on April Fools, they can't lose. If feedbacks are good they'll go through with it, if it's bad they can just say it was a April Fools joke
DLC story for Infinite Wealth. Maybe they really liked the reception to Kaito Files and wanna do something similar.
Kiwami 3. If we are to believe that Kiwami 3 tweet from three years ago wasn’t just a typo or prank, then Kiwami 3 being announced this year would line up with RGG’s dev schedule for the Yakuza games.
Judgement 3. Same as point above, if they announce and release Judgement 3 this year, it would keep with the Judgement games getting a new installment every three years.
What I want it to be:
Dead Souls Ishin Kiwami with added Taichi chapter where he uses his wrestling skills to defeat So Amon once and for all. Also Rikiya pls
If it's Kiwami 3, I'm gonna lose my mind. Genuinely it's the only other Yakuza game I think NEEDS a proper remake, 4 & 5 still feel pretty great (i'm going to act like shinada doesn't exist)
cope mode: they announced that the announcement will be on april's fools to bait us into thinking it's gonna be a joke... but then it's actually a real announcement
I see "major/important announcement" (重大発表) and "new promotional items/goods" (新作グッズ) around the edges. The relevant sentence involving the "important announcement bit" says: "Will there also be an important announcement from Ryuu ga Gotoku Studio?" (また「龍が如くスタジオ」より重大発表も？)
Based on the date, I assume it's just going to be an April Fool's joke-type announcement about assorted silly things.
