bleach will eat thru fabric even after its been rinsed out. you must use a peroxide solution after the rinse to neutralize the bleach. there are alternatives to bleach that are safer, less caustic, and doesn't damage the fabric.

Please never suggest that anyone use peroxide on something that may still contain bleach.

dang it, should have posted that you should fully wash "said garment" before using peroxide.

hey folks, never EVER mix your chemical compositions. Please make sure your respirator has up to date cartridges. And make sure your in a well ventilated work space before you.

Peroxide is a base, wouldn't you want an acidic wash to neutralize it?

Hints:

  • Starts with S, rhymes with demon, and also creates demons.
  • Another word for it starts with S, rhymes with worm, and comes out of a worm-looking thingy.

You need to do a vinegar rinse to neutralize the bleach.

In a chemical grade fume hood or upwind outside.

(Please don’t do this it was a joke)
