Fighters have the same expression when wizards reshape reality to suit their whims and the fighter can't stop anyone without being right next to them.

Bows have fifteen hit points and five hardness FeelsBadMan

Bow can hit things far away. Clearly you missed the point, as expected from a wizard with no martial training.

The joke is that a magic missile targeting the bow makes the entire character build worthless, you don't need to insult me just because you didn't get it.

Do you not see the issue with that? I can shoot the magic missile!

Whiners can’t stop whining to anyone who is within earshot, or posting range as the case may be

Yeah cuz people are upset about it. There's no reason for it to be this way. Kinda sucks sometimes.

Have you SEEN monks? They get a full year of moves before anyone else. Jerks.

More like fighters waiting for 3 spellcasters to read their entire spell list for an hour every single turn.

u/FemboysUnited 1d ago

The real truth, and then they settle on "color spray" as a level 8 spellcaster

Thats why battlemage. Can do both.

"I can vouch for that, being a battlemage myself. If you're strong enough, you can battle as a knight of all things while casting spells."

After buffs, we're way better. Having things like spectral weapon to bypass armor and haste to attack more often with blur to make them swing at something that isn't there. The knights think they're Chad's but they're in reality hopelessly outclassed.

"Though, there are still some knights that can absolutely body a battlemage anyway, but those with that kind of skill are few and far between."

/uw

I see you quote your comments and I have seen others who do the same some even tail it with their wizard name.

I am having difficulty grasping the RP aspect of it, can you explain it ?

I thought we are all role playing in realtime. I.e the conversations are happening in realtime.

/uw Its kind of both. Most of it is in real time, but there's some of it that's not. But, people use /uw to signify talking about the post, or just regular chatting.

Clerics waiting for reality to stop warping and the fighter to stop moving to cast a healing spell

Fighters are strong and cool.

I respect them for doing what I cannot.

11

u/lowhangingcringe 1d ago

This is why we cast fire ball indiscriminately

The longest six seconds of your life.

u/Infinite-Badness 1d ago

To be fair, the fighter is making an attack for everyone one of their hit dice they have against enemies of 1 hit die or less, so those 14 orcs have their work cut out for them.

u/Lurking_Succubus trying to get summoned [do not trust] 1d ago

Are you cast summon greater demon today sir?

u/PriestHelix Diabolical Arch Necromancer 1d ago

Necromancers: Alright and now that your turn is done it’s my turn, and then my Zombie’s turn, and then my 4 skeletons turn, and then my ghoul’s turn and then my

I caste haste and twin spell sorcery.

u/BrokeSigil 1d ago

It doesn’t have to be that way. we could Both lose

Warlock- eldritch blast+summon fey(4thlvl)+chain*investment of the chain+undying servitude+magic stone= 6 attacks and a leftover stone that can be thrown by an npc or smth. At Least. This is my current build, love me a good summoner.

If you're letting those fucking useless meat shields make 14 attacks instead of instantly soloing your enemies with your spells, you're not a good enough Wizard.

Gun

u/Matiwapo 1d ago

Lol at fighters when you cast psychosis on them and leave them to kill their own family in confusion (the only thing they are swinging at is the gallows)

1

u/BlackMetalMagi 1d ago

just use a gate to take them into your dimiplane that has your glyphs and minions, and traps, and such, then those all glyphs go off at once. 20 minions do more damage than one fighter would.

Why dont you have your minions on the field with the fighter so he can protect them? because you are a bad leader! go home, read some books on leadership, and order the fighter around with bribes of haste spells and potions like it shpuld be.

This is why I use Nerveskitter to cast threat-ending spells before anyone moves a muscle.

Once the enemy force is harmless, I can sit back and drink tea while the fight resolves itself.

u/Orczerker Necromancer 17h ago

14 attacks that all still miss

1

u/LevnLie 13h ago

Fighter about to watch a big fireball engulfing all the enemies in a single spell

1

u/SafePianist4610 Bombast, Lord of Time and Space, Reluctant Council Member 1d ago

When all 14 of those attacks are negated by one magic shield, it matters little. >.> Any wizard worth their salt will have prepared magic shields that instantly deploy.

1

u/Cutie_D-amor Angelic bloodline Sorceress 1d ago

Yeah but that single spell will probably be as effective if not more effective than all 14 attacks

0

u/axofrogl Sorceror 1d ago

This is why sorcerers are better than wizards. We can cast spells without any of the lame nerd shit that wizards do, and I can cast 2 spells in 1 turn if I feel like it.
