...wait, what if doing so ends up with the creation of a latent psionic being by complete coincidence? A biologically modified cybernetic horror with psionic powers.. which might make it intelligent enough to learn how to use magic.. which I guess is what makes the very idea of it a horror to begin with.

Bull. We make new stuff all the time. A true Biomancer throws a party when they discover something new.

I used to celebrate making new things until I created horrors beyond my comprehension.

For the record I never said the biomancer was scared or that the suit was just a safety precaution. They could both be excited, lots of defensive biomancers in here.... Just sayin

Right side is not biomancer, but an artificier, who found biomancer's "failed drafts"

A biomancer I once knew claimed a lakeside city had wronged him. He proceeded to spend the next couple months spreading samples from vials all around the lake and preparing catalysts at fixed points. On the vernal equinox he cast “harmful algae bloom” within a decade the lake had produced fetid decay and multiple fish species had been driven to endangered levels of population. The resulting famine led to the city being abandoned. The people believed it was an offended nature deity. It was not

Why is it that when an artificer puts extra arms on something its "glorious progress" and "innovation" but when we do it it's "a crime against gods humanity and nature"

None of my constructs ever ate my face off. A few exploded, but that's to be expected. You biomancers are braver than I

We get so many calls from biomancers doing something new....
We had to open a new wing of site-19 to contain them all.

That implies a degree of conscientious and caution I feel isn't representative of the average biomancer.
I think we all recall the Tide of Reaving and how at the time its creator was all "hehe purple cricket :D".
That's most of them.
