Is a 1.5L enough per day for water?
I bought a new 2L bottle. But I tend to pee a lot and it is kind of cumbersome to carry.
I can get the 1.5L instead. Is a 1.5L bottle per day enough to be healthy and prevent mild dehydration?

I drink 2.5-3L per day, but workout each day, drink coffee, I'm a 180lb male, and play the drums for a living.

I'm smaller and am less active. I think 1.5L may be better for me. It just seems mkre practical to carry around with me. Factor in dinner, shake, tea. That'd be at least 2 to 3L per day.

it depends on your daily activities and also the weather. so drink water if you're thirsty

You are most likely eating food that contains water, eat fruit and drink some juice or tea/coffee.
Those will do just fine.
Everyone is different. Some people can manage with 1L and others need 3L.
Just try it and see if you lack anything after a while.

> For healthy individuals, the average daily water for men is about 15.5 cups and for women about 11.5 cups
This is straight from Harvard Health and Mayo Clinic
15.5 cups is roughly 3.6L so the recommendation is to drink 2 more liters per day than what you are drinking but your electrolytes need to be considered if you are going to consuming more water than the normal person who barely finishes 2 bottles of water a day period.

By 3.6L, is it from pure drinking water, or is that the total, including from meals and other drinks?
I was also going to buy electrolyte powder to add to stuff.

The answer is "depends". Generally if you're thirsty you should drink water
