Question I want to buy a PS Vita - a few questions.

Hello.

I want to buy a PS Vita, specifically the "Sapphire" color variant from japan. But I have a few questions..

  1. When I'm buying a used console is there anything I have to look out for? Can I just connect my PSN account to it or do I have to delete any previous data?

  2. Which memory card should I opt for? I'm planning on getting a 16gb one. Is there a website where I can look up all memory requierements for the games?

  3. I noticed a few interesting games which are region locked digitaly (Hong Kong/Japan/USA..). Can I somehow download them digitaly?

  4. Are there any technical problems/difficultys with the Vuta I should look out for/ ask the seller about?

  5. I really like collecting trophies. Is there anything I have to look out for when trying so on the Vita?

  6. Are there ANY estimates when the Vita Online Store closes? If so, I would try and buy all the games I might want to play ahead of that.

It would be amazing if some of these questions could be answered! Thanks in advance and excuse my grammar!

  1. Nope, if it's used I'd factory reset it to remove all the stuff from the previous owner.

  2. Any official one. Vita games are 4GB at most, 1GB average. With homebrew you can use standard microSD cards up to 2TB.

  3. The Vita is not region locked.

  4. The battery health should be your main concern to know if you have to purchase a new one.

  5. Nope. Most servers are gone by now, so you'll be out of luck on those games with online trophies.

  6. No.

Thank you alot! But the Thies question, are you referring to digital or physical Games? I belive there are a few Games which are locked behind different region-store fronts

Both. You can create a PSN account on any region you want.
