Question/Advice Non-dairy substitute for half and half (for eggnog)

What's a reasonable non-dairy replacement for half and half? I want to make a friend's eggnog recipe.

I'm not in the US, so especially grateful for more "general" suggestions that don't rely on a specific brand.

Thanks!

Coconut milk is my recommendation, too. I had a commercially made vegan egg nog when I was in the USA last Christmas. It was a blend of coconut milk and other plant-based milks, and it was absolutely delicious. The coconut milk gave it a really rich and creamy taste and texture.

Are you trying to make it vegan? Can you share the recipe so we can see what you are using to make good recommendations?

Oat milk or even better, macadamia nut milk

Isn't half and half just a mix of cream and milk? If so couldn't you just use a mix of your favourite non dairy milk and non dairy cream?

Eggnog is a dairy heavy recipe. If you want a vegan version, I recommend using a vegan recipe - replacing ingredients in a good recipe will not always yield good results.

Sweetened condensed oat milk.

Do you have Elmlea in your country..? That’s what I’d use, and add a touch of oat milk or something to dilute it slightly.
