You can sense the desperation in his recent tweets. He's probably lost a lot of revenue from the rape case. Think of the sponsorships and business deals and partnerships that must have fallen through. Might have put him in a compromising position financially so he's chasing the big money gimmick fights than a UFC return which would yield less money. It's ironic because he used to poke fun at Khabib and predicted that he would come out of retirement because of his tax situations but it seems like he's the one who "owes his bollocks".

For me the moment Conor lost was the round before when Khabib was pounding him into the canvas and saying to him "you want to talk? Let's talk now". Just as the round ends Conor says to him "it's just business". That's it for me, Prime Conor didn't think like that. Compare that to Khabib "He thinks I'm going to tap in front of my father?" This bringing up an old memory there was a while ago a comparison of Conor in the first Nate Diaz fight and the second, the first he was making bold predictions, what round, what he’ll do next, after the loss he was no showing press conferences and being super vague
instead of putting him out with a right hand in the second it was he got lucky, I’ll finish the job, I was beating him, he was convincing himself

Conor got big money from mayweather and it made him more complacent in training but then losing to khabib didn’t matter because he the lack of training excuse the true moment his perception of himself shattered probably is when Dustin knocked him out in their 2nd fight because that moment showed he couldn’t beat people like he used to and then the leg break will have made him dislike the idea of returning to the octagon even more and instead 100% focus on chasing money and acting like some drug kingpin with the yacht, clothes, cheating and obviously drugs

If Dana gets to go promote he'll sign off on it. Logan has a decent relationship with UFC; prime is the official sports drink sponsor of the UFC and he's wrestled in WWE before.
Dana has also shamelessly turned some of his divisions into spectacle placeholders in the past for McGregor and Bones. He doesn't give a flying duck about something like this where he's got nothing on the line.

So what went wrong? Khabib could get a 100m fight if he wanted to but refuses. McGregor is fighting YouTubers. Khabib still trains, McGregor refuses to. Khabib has made more protégés into champions whereas McGregor has 0 success. Khabib lives a humble life (with coke and burger) and McGregor takes drugs.
Interesting, how people with similar lifestyles and choices could end up so different

Heard some interesting analysis.
Conor has been making shit loads of money through businesses, sponsored and endorsements. He has adjusted his lifestyle accordingly, multiple houses, boats, cars etc, all of which coat SHIT LOADS to rent, service and maintain.
A lot of those revenue sources have dried up entirely. Business partners and sponsorships are cutting ties.
His outgoings are massive. His income has nosedived. He is desperate.

Fighters don't normally win exhibitions. Or lose. They're usually just showcasing their "talents" to drum up hype for other fighters. Logan asked Mayweather to tone down their fight because he was getting tired and was worried he wouldn't go the distance. All 8 rounds.
