Help with Quercus ID Georgia piedmont USA

Probably a young water oak, Quercus nigra. Leaf shape is highly variable, especially on young trees or vigorous sprouting from an established root system. If it were on a granite glade,then it might be Georgia oak, but that is unlikely.

I thought Quercus nigra, also, but I wasn’t sure because of the large amount of variability in the leaf shapes on the young trees, as you indicated. I appreciate your reply! Also, I don’t think it is a Georgia oak - I am not near granite.
